#1 bar to kick it on Rainy St!
Ian and Greg mix the best drinks and supply the best vibes! Great place to play some pool with coworkers after a long week. Always looking forward to coming back!!

I would give zero stars if I could. I walked in to check if they had beer to-go. The guy behind the bar said that’s not a thing in Texas when clearly it is in a normal brewery. Maybe he was drunk, but no excuse. The only brewery on the Rainey area and hit a zero on all levels. Hopefully, they’ll close soon.

The Stay Put is a laid-back brewpub on Rainey Street in Austin, offering house-brewed beers, draft cocktails, and a dog-friendly patio. Housed in a restored 1920s bungalow, it features communal tables and a relaxed atmosphere. The menu includes a variety of beers like the “Space Coyote” hazy IPA and cocktails such as the “Passion Fruit Margarita.” While some patrons appreciate the ambiance and drink selection, others have noted that prices can be on the higher side. It’s a solid spot for casual drinks, especially if you’re in the area and looking for a pet-friendly venue.

The Stay Put blends Rainey Street charm with true brew‑nerd cred. House‑made lagers and hazy IPAs are poured fresh from the tiny brewhouse out back, and the laid‑back patio—string lights, picnic tables, plenty of shade—makes it all too easy to linger. Friendly staff, rotating food‑truck pairings, and reasonable prices earn it a permanent spot on my Austin beer crawl.

Easy place to get into. Love the house made ginger-beer. Add some bourbon to the ginger beer for a build your own mule and you’re set!

this business doesn’t have their phone number listed on this google business listing or website. did a drive by and saw that they were open only to walk up (after parking down the block) to find out they’re closed for a private event. wow. it would have been great if i could have just called in to ask because of their inconsistent hours. waste of time. awful part of town. cannot recommend anyone. and maybe just have a sign out the door that says closed for private event.

Chill, quiet bar - best place to hang on Rainey.

Probably best place on Rainey Street, more like the OG that made the area's name from the 90's. Expanded but retains nice character. Good beers, the Ginger beer is great for any designated driver, or just a delicious soda substitute. Pool, darts, dog friendly patio.

Love barmaid Lauren. Super weirded by dredlock barguy. We were laughing about inept pool players and made a goofy $5 over/under bet. He lost. Refused to pay, took away my $9 beer and had ‘security’ kick me out. Is that TX hospitality?

One of the houses converted to a bar on Rainey st. Brewery plus cocktails. Cool atmosphere, indoor outdoor areas to hang
