Holy Cow! Brisket at Switch Barbeque in Dripping Springs is some of the best you will have in Texas. The chopped beef sandwich is a generous portion. tithe potato salad is so creamy and tasty you need to make sure you get it. Burnt Ends! These are not covered up with some sugary stuff to make them taste good. They are stand alone. Our waiter Barry was outstanding and the beer is served in frozen mugs. Can you get better than that? It would be difficult.

As a KCBS Member and KCBS Judge with Triple J&C BBQ Team from Kentucky I THOROUGHLY enjoyed the BBQ last night at Switch’s!! From a Judging perspective I tasted the Brisket, Pork, and Ribs. Realizing we are in Texas the Brisket was amazing. Presentation, Taste, and texture was spot on; The pork was moist and smoky; the ribs were great, maybe a tad bit peppery, but the bite was spot on and it is Texas after all. (Attached) BIG shout out to Brian and the whole crew. Wonderful...

When I lived in Austin I frequented the original Stiles Switch on Lamar which as excellent food. I was excited to see they had the Switch out in Dripping, but overall the place has been a disappointment. I've really wanted to like The Switch, but they never have the consistency or quality of the original location. Personally I do not think TX bbq should be waiter service, they should just do counter service like their other locations.
