This place used to be an establishment, now it’s a disappointment. It’s one thing to have a few drinks with the patrons, and another to be so wasted behind the bar you’re yelling at people about the weather, forgetting their names 10 seconds after they ask to tab out, and kicking everyone out an hour early because you’re drunk. Meanwhile downstairs is fully operating.If you want to move to Austin and be a IDGAF bartender that’s fine, but at least have the decency to bartend. Hey, new management, wake TF up, your about to kill another Austin institution through sheer neglect and disrespect. Texas Tim, Emily, and every old soul that used to call this place home is disappointed….

The people bringing the food to the table always seemed confused and the bar hags spent more time talking to each other than taking care of most customers. The communication between bar jags and people ordering was absent and we felt like we were bothering them.

The scariest thing about this so called entitled sports bar tavern isnt the ghost errrr...myth. It's the piss poor bar staff and their envious side kick trying to stare down her nose at patrons but can't see anything past her snot ring....bull ring... heifer ring. As she dreads getting on the Cap Metro chauffeured limo line. Should have known the quality of cuisine was lacking when I witnessed the Tavern trio eating Church's chicken at the bar. Funny enough, we made it past Tuesday and didn't hurt our finances by paying for some prison quality chow. The best drink that these 3 have come about is Haterade.

This is an old Austin bar/restaurant. The music is loud and there are lots of TVs. Grest pub vibe. The tator tots were just that, nothing special as we're the fries, but good. The Ann Richard's chicken sandwich was small, just okay. The avocado prevented it from staying together. But Cadillac Burger lived up to it's name! Big burger good flavor. A great burger.Parking: It's across the street at 1pm on Sunday it was 3/4 full. Not sure about busier times.

We were looking for a bar with a lot of Big screen tvs. The Tavern did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and attentive. Even though our team was playing a team from Texas the crowd was even gracious. The bonus was our team the “Baltimore Ravens” won the playoff game. ?
So i went here on a cold night and I'm not sure they have heat... But that did not bother us much, we just kept our jackets on.The brisket queso was the best and whatever they season the chips with makes them hard to stop eating. I highly recommend you order those. As for the other items we ordered they were ok. The fish and chips needed to be cooked a bit longer to make the fish crispy. Next time I'll just ask for extra crispy and see how it comes out.Service was great, drinks keep you warm. Decent selection of whiskey.

Our bartender RULED. He was great, the food was delicious, beers were cold. It was a *little* loud cause of the football playoffs. Might want to consider bringing earplugs, but overall a great experience.
