What more could be said about ThunderCloud Subs? Sandwiches are an Austin institution and the person making them likely is too. They say this location on 12th Street is haunted by the ghost of Governor Ann Richards who lived a few blocks away.
I was having a horrible day working all day later into the night right before Christmas there was an employee there who was so kind that it genuinely touched my heart and made my day better shout out to you guy
This was our first time trying ThunderCloud Subs. The inside is cute with a small dining room, a few tables, and plenty of free parking outside—always a win.
Service was super friendly, even though they did forget one pretty major ingredient. We ordered two Austin Clubs to go, didn’t watch them being made, and only realized once we got home that both were missing the avocado… which is kind of the whole point of the Austin Club.
