Tried the California Club & it was top notch. This location is a bit hidden, but worth it. My 2nd time trying this chain & they continued to do a great job. Sandwich was wonderful & employees continue to be really friendly. I’ll be back!

Atmosphere ? It's a sub shop. There is music playing, the people are working, there are sometimes a few customers eating at their tables. If you have never been to Thunderclouds... the employees often have longer hair, seem to have tattoos and a laid back take on life. I've never walked in and seen any employee with their hair greased to their head with chinos, polo and loafers on. This is more Chronicle, less FOX News. Employees have personality and musical preferences.
Food? Fantastic. Yummy. Get a NY Italian salad. So tasty that I want it at least 3 times a week, but I try to contain myself.
Quick. Tasty. Healthy options if you want those and sweet treats if you want something extra.
I like suggesting it for dates. If they can't appreciate the people, I know they probably aren't my people. It may be the only thing left of old Austin (when it was still a laid back city where music and creativity had value and everything was not over priced and political.)

Best sub shop in ATX. I love their thunder sauce and that I can get any sub as a salad! Also love to order their large meatballs with sauce, though sometimes they do not give you the $7 worth charged depending on the person working the counter. Overall though, it’s a go to!

I love stopping by for a sandwich 🥪. Super fresh and yummy choices. I have the Big Paul with a pickle, chips, and a Pepsi !! $15. It's a big sandwich, hits the spot.

Whenever me and my roommates are trying to pick a place to go get subs, we always end back up at this tiny local shop. We love the atmosphere and the laid back Austin vibe. And the subs are always fresh and delicious!

Just got a sandwich. My bf and I both ordered larges. My bread was significantly skinnier than his- not sure if they gave me a small on accident? The biggest issue was that I asked for tuna and I got about a total 1 tbsp of tuna across my whole sandwich. It was treated like a smear rather than the main protein. Spent 10 dollars and still hungry.
