I’ve been here twice and the atmosphere and food are good! The prices are just disrespectful to true southerners just trying to eat a seafood boil, but I guess it’s the price you pay for trying to eat this type of food downtown.
Just had brunch at TLC. Ok seafood and great server. Prime Rib carver is not a carver. She gave shredded prime ribs as thin as possible and minimal. Do not ask which part you like, unless you tell her. Not a lot of choices in the buffet menu not worth the $$.

This is my go-to boil when I'm in town! The food is always hot and flavorful. I make sure to get oysters as my apps. It comes with crackers and sauces. The waiter was very informative and made sure we were good every time. The place is very big and even has a bar area. Oysters are currently $1 each and the boil in the picture was around $100. We got two lbs crab legs and clams. Unsure why the bill was high but make sure to ask for an itemized receipt. Or clarify the cost of everything. Still. Great place.

I absolutely love this place when I'm craving a seafood boil. I believe everything is reasonably priced. I love their lemon butter sauce. I always get lobster with mussels when I go here and of course their $1 oysters! They offer $1 oysters almost all year round and it's not only limited to their happy hour.

Cute spot to hang out in S Austin near the Alamo Drafthouse on South Lamar! Legit drinks and oysters y'all. Came during SXSW and was a great respite from standing around. We got some drinks (Sazerac and Spritz during happy hour -- all good) And snacks! Chargrilled oysters (6 for $20. A bit pricey but tasty) Fries (good fries! Not too thin) Bowl of chili was hearty and delicious. I know I'll be back this week. Not nearly as pretentious as it may look from the outside and they got games for the kids!

Pros- solid seafood options and casual environment. Food was fresh and restaurant was clean. Cons- very expensive for portion sizes and there isn't technically a "full bar" - just beers and only cocktails that are on the menu Overall I would come back, but be more mentally prepared for the prices. Service was fine, they use toast so it was easy to split checks. I recommend the shrimp boil and lobster Mac.
