Having spent the bulk of my life in Hawaii and Japan, I was so happy to discover excellent quality sushi at a very reasonable price with exceptionally friendly servers. I'd give the staff for more stars if I could! Vibe was so warm and welcoming. Clearly a local favorite. Looking forward to being a regular.

I understand that this place is busy, but the service felt almost nonexistent and not welcoming at all. From being seated to checking out, there was no greeting, no thank you, nothing. It really felt like we were being rushed out the entire time. The food was good, but nothing memorable or worth the attitude.

Toro and King Salmon were wonderful! They are also very comfortable with children and modifications to any rolls or dishes. We have visited twice so far and will definitely dine again!

Best sushi I’ve had in Austin, hands down. Fresh wasabi and an excellent selection of nigiri.

Highway robbery for charging $7 for extra wasabi and wasabi wasn’t even spicy.

A bit disappointed. Ordered binto box with salmon. Salmon was just not edible as it was mostly fat. The other dishes were sub par. It was noisy and our waiter was too busy to pay attention to our table. Will not go back

I've been to Tomodachi a handful of times due to not loving in Austin. However, every time I go in blown away by the sushi. It's so delicious. The nigiri melts in your mouth no matter what you get. It's prepared so well. My favorite is the toasted garlic and wasabi hidden under the slice of fish. The atmosphere is great but it used to be better a few years ago. Idk if they've changed ownership but the staff seemed off compared to what I experienced in the past. I would still go again and again! Love this place. It's honestly the best sushi place I've been to from SA to Austin.
