8/9/23 - Toomey’s doors are locked at 5:30PM on a Wednesday despite the hours on the door saying open 4-11PM. Huh?Great bar but inconsistent hours!

Really fun and casual place with some good beer and great wings! The staff is really friendly. Would recommend for a laid back Sunday afternoon when you're around Zilker.

This bar is quite frankly the worst bar ever lol. The bartender with blue hair needs to relax or just not be a bartender in general. As a bartender, I can tell you for a fact that this is not how you generate tips. Will never go back, and will tell everyone I know the same thing.

Coworkers and I would come in here maybe once a week on our lunch break. Went in today and the bit is up. We would talk and laugh about the bad service and cold food. But this burger came out not on the bottom bun. Cool whatever. The joke at work is, “I never leave satisfied.” Bartender never said anything and maybe I should have because he charged me for it. Literally go anywhere else and save your money.

Went here with my 87 year old grandmother for a good time, we got quite the opposite, waited 15 minutes at our table for service and eventually I went to the bar to ask. A very rude gentleman then came to our table and rudly told my grandmother to use a qr code to view the menu, after I had to order for her our food finally came. Cold as the rockies it was, neither of us had a bite. Eventually the server checked on us and, noticing neither of us had touched our food, proceeded to give us the bill and expected a tip. Needless to say he didn't get one

I was in town recently for a wedding and had the pleasure of visiting Toomey Tap Room. The food was delivered quickly and was quite delicious. The grilled chicken sandwich was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The bun was light and fluffy and went well with the toppings. The beer had great taste and my wife loved her margarita. The fries were also quite good. A fun outdoor atmosphere.
I want to love this place. The food is overall decent, although wings are always undercooked but would be amazing if they cooked them longer so the chicken doesn't SnapBack. the dramatics that we endure every time we are here is ridiculous. I can empathize when coworkers call out as we all have been there but to witness a temper-tantrum that included breaking several glasses of as unnecessary. The women's bathroom ALWAYS smells like an outhouse. I live across the street so not sure what the issue is when the rest of the neighborhood doesn't have the issue.

Showed up to Toomeys as a group of friends and I were gonna check it out for the first time as it looked pretty cool online and watch the UT basketball game. Sign outside said that they opened at 11am on Saturday but it looked like nobody was inside and the bar wasn’t even ready for service. After waiting 10 mins after the opening time, we left and went somewhere else. Not a very good first impression.

Staff is very polite and helpful. Only not giving five stars because the pay service was weird resulting in a long delay in service as my order never went through. They made up for it with my friend when they somehow duplicated her order and she got a free beer out of it! Lol whatever

Went in to watch the UT game last weekend and the service was horrible. Waitstaff was rude and bothered to be there. Nobody welcomed us or even flashed a smile. Manager and bartenders were talking smack about patrons. I really wanted this to be a place I would frequent but I will take my business elsewhere. Hire new people or become irrelevant

We we're heading home around 10pm from ACL when my diabetic friend started having her blood sugar rapidly drop. She ate her snacks she carries with her for these types of situations - and we waited 25 minutes for her to process the sugar but her blood sugar continued to drop dangerously low. When we ran into toomey and up to the bar to get her a soda to help her out, the manager responded "you're going to have to wait for a table and order off the bar code". We explained the situation and still he refused to get us a singular soda. We frantically tried to get every other employees attention at the bar and it wasn't until almost 10 minutes later that we finally had an employee help us out. He was awesome and told us we could take our time to get her back in the right levels and offered her refills. This employee is the only reason this place gets one star.
