Salmon was under cooked and portion was ok. Menu was limited and some of the descriptions of the entries were not what was brought out. Cocktail was ok. View on the deck was nice overlooking the pool.
I went here to celebrate Mother's Day and the overall experience was good but it was a pretty average buffet. A buffet that was way over priced. On top of that there was a hefty service charge with an added line asking for additional tip. Given that this restaurant is attached to a hotel is maybe why there was an additional "service chg" but I was a bit shocked when I received the bill. The bill was $300.10 for just 3 of us. This restaurant is at the Lakeway Resort, on the lake, so it is off the beaten path and requires a little a drive unless you live, or are staying, in Lakeway. It has a bit of a view, but not great. TR Restaurant is not well marked, and neither is the parking area, which is not visible from the front of the restaurant. However, the service and food is great!
