Not a great experience. The açaí fruit bowl that was given to me was frozen solid and could not be eaten. I shared my concern, and the staff were confused. They could not give me an appropriate replacement since the açaí bowls were all pre-prepared and frozen. I agreed to have a yogurt bowl instead. Ultimately, the end product was not very good. The freshness and quality are questionable. Also, there was no warmth or friendliness from the staff. I had to ask for a partial refund since the replacement bowl was a lower price, which they did issue. However, I think that one's money could be better spent elsewhere.

We used to get their fruit smoothies often but had not been here for years since we've been on a health kick. Last Saturday, we stopped by after spending the whole day outdoors and were seriously thirsty. This location is hidden at The Triangle on 47th St. There was not a single customer when we walked in, maybe that's why they didn't turn on the lights in the back so it was a bit dark and not super inviting. Also, it seemed they might get a lot of deliveries at this location since the first question we were asked when we walked in was if we were there for delivery pick-up. There are plenty of seats inside and their gender neutral bathroom was nice and clean. We ordered their "Blimey Limey" and "Mango Magic". We used to love their Blimey Limey as it was so delicious with a bit of tang - or so we thought back then. However, this time it was good, but it was really really sweet for our liking. Their mango magic would have been better if they had used very ripe mango. The unripe mango contributed a starchy flavor to the smoothie which was not super tasty. For most people, I think they will really like this place, we have just gotten used to making our own smoothies at home (which fit our pallet to a tee); so nothing against them at all--still a solid place for some on the go refreshment.

This place is fast and always has really good deals. The smoothies are MASSIVE and are worth the cost. Lots of options for sides. Lots of options for add ins. Parking can be tricky but there is a free garage close. Highly recommend.

Always enjoy visiting! The atmosphere brings joy and sunshine to my day and the smoothies, wraps, quesadillas and flatbreads are amazing! Love the Kale and Apple Slaw, the Maple Kissed Sweet Potatoes and the Jalapeño Corn - all great side options. Staff is friendly and inviting greets me when I walk in the door. Visiting Tropical Smoothie Cafe in The Triangle is the he best!

I’m so disappointed with my first experience here. I had a friend treat me to a delicious smoothie a couple days ago, and decided to come try it for myself.I came to order a flatbread and a smoothie. I asked the cashier, Aaron, about a free smoothie for the first purchase (I saw it in their coupon). The guy mumbled and I didn’t understand him. I decided to let it go, and paid for my order.I waited 30 minutes for the flatbread. They gave the orders to other people that came after me. Somehow my order was lost. I went up to ask for an update, I was told it was being made, another 5 minutes pass, and I was asked to show my receipt for the order. Another 10 minutes pass before someone else takes my receipt to make the order.I’m really disappointed because I really enjoyed their smoothies, but this was just not the best customer experience.
