Online ordering, quality, service are all extremely unreliable. Used to be a great spot, those days are long gone. Suspect they won’t be in business much longer.

Ugh. Painful is the only way to describe our experience here. We sat at the bar. The bartender was glacially slow. After sitting there for 10 mins I literally begged for anything to drink. They were serving the brunch buffet and we opted for that hoping it would be faster than ordering from the menu. Food was cold and honestly bland. Hopefully they get it together.

It truly baffles & slightly distresses me that this is now the sole venue of this restaurant franchise that had been a mainstay for me since arriving in Austin. However, the food is great, the service during my visits has been superb, and the atmosphere very chill. The menu is a lot more limited than I recall, but the remaining options are all serviceable Tex Mex.
Parking: The parking lot is shared by several other businesses so during evening & weekend hours it can be difficult to find a spot.

I used to like this place a lot more, but they've more recently started having an extremely loud DJ play there on the nights I've gone that is... It's too much, alright? It's night club level sound, and I'm going there with a date or a few friends to have enchiladas. Stop this. Nobody likes it. I can't hear myself think. Also, I noticed you guys removed the meat and cheese from the flautas in the combo. SHAME. ?

Good try, guys! Kitchen isn't firing on all cylinders and there are no interior updates to this old space. Be careful, sometimes there's a DJ with a light show on the patio. The food is over simplified and some Trudy's favorites are obviously omitted.
The restaurant has been remodeled recently and looks great! If you "grew up" on the OG of Mexican Martinis back in the late 90s, you'll be happy returning to Trudy's North ⭐! Stuffed avocado still doesn't disappoint! Salud!
Kid-friendliness: It's loud so your kids are fine to be themselves without feeling disruptive.

Service is slow as I go at slower times, so service is not over burdened. Love this place. Have been coming since original by campus opened in 70's. Only issue is they tend to be spicey, but if you make service know, they will adjust. Asking is relative. So I opt for no spice.

Trudy’s Cheesesteak Tacos are Wow! Bring the tums because they are delicious and way to easy to consume too quickly. Tex-Mex Perfect.

Came in today at 11:30 and two employees were sitting down at tables and there was one bar tender. After a few minutes we approached the bar tender and asked if they were open. There was no music or anyone there so I thought it was an appropriate question. He wrinkled his handlebar mustache and annoying said yes. I then asked if we could just have a seat anywhere and he again very rudely said well. I guess you can sit at that table over there. That's when we decided this was not the environment for us To eat a delicious meal and spend 100 bucks so we left.
