THIS PLACE IS CLOSED
The food was awful! A beautiful restaurant but lacking service and taste. It’s a shame too because they could be so much more. Mushy rice , tasteless beans …and $6 charge for a little chips and salsa …won’t be back.
Really good Mexican martinis. Food just ok.
This restaurant is closed down. Google still show it up and running.
My hands down favorites are their table side guacamole, salsas and for my plato fuerte their chili rellenos accompanied with a delicious Paloma
I actually crave their food
Food quality and reparability is hit or miss. Ordering the same dish: Molcajetes, always produces a different outcome. Last time it came out with unmelted cheese and was very different than ordering it the other two times I've been there... Place has an potential but kitchen just needs to pay attentions to details.
Very average food :/ Disappointing.
We love Talum’s but the ambiance is very different now that you put standard booths. The other couches had style… vibe… these new booths are like sitting at Denny’s or any basic Mexican restaurant.
I went with my family and we had a very bad experience. We ordered the coconut shrimp which is one of their specials, and the shrimp was so raw it was still like grey jelly. We showed the waiter and they made another, but we just asked for it to be taken off the bill since we did not want to try to eat it again. We also ordered two steaks, both were so red and raw on the inside and cooked unevenly. My brother took his whole steak to go so he could cook it more at home before eating. The bartender apologized and told us they had two new cooks, but didn’t offer to comp anything. We will not be returning again.

The food is TERRIBLE. Worst Mexican food my boyfriend and I have ever had. Honestly worst meal we've had from a restaurant ever. The food was so bland. The beans had no flavor, the rice was overcooked. The meat had no flavor it seemed to have been sitting in grease then slightly reheated. The queso was so bad, 10 bucks for hard cheese. Over $60 for the worst food we've had. Taco Bell would have tasted better than this place.
The only positive to our experience is that the staff was friendly and the place was clean. I would not reccomend this place unless you are just grabbing a bottle of beer.

New name same old interior. Food seemed premade like they had 20 plates of rice and beans just waiting under warmer. Not impressed. I'll stick to Rosie's tamale house

I was allowed to set a reservation at their earlier availability which was at 9:45 pm. After making a 3 hour drive to get here, the restaurant was closed and to my knowledge had been for 2 weeks.

I’m not picky and a foodie.. the meat was terrible, service was slow. And on top of that completely overpriced for the lack of quality

We went for lunch today around noon, outdoor sign said open, but they were closed, and this wasn't the first time we found it closed after they reopened. We used to love going there, they had a great happy hour menu which was all day most days. Did also notice the happy hour menu posted on website no longer had our favorite tacos the chipolte chicken and barbacoa. I'm done with this restaurant.
I enjoyed the tortilla soup and love that they make the fresh salsa at the table. Had an unfortunate incident, and they didn't meet my expectations on how they handled it.
