great little bar, but will have you freezing your tail off. pretty hot inside with limited seating so it’s mostly patio space. pretty chilly out there NO HEATERS. good beer, nice folks
First of all I used to go to this place when it was Spiderhouse, since the 90s. I was really bummed out when Spider House shut down. However I was excited to hear that people from Yellow Jacket etc, open up a new place in the spot. I was even more excited when I found out that they kept a lot of its original charm. Places with history and character are disappearing in Austin very rapidly. Is very happy to see that much of the old feel of Spider House was retained in Tweedies.
Went here with my son to have a Birthday drink. It was a weekday midday so we were the only customers. Im sure it gets pretty busy at nights & weekends. I ordered a mojito the girl behind the counter did not know how to make so she googled it. I've had better but whatever. The bathroom was interesting
