This was my first time at Tyson's Tacos, and they aren't too far from home. The ladies were friendly, patient with a TT virgin, and quick. You can create your own, or order from the menu. The atmosphere was ok, music and lots to look at, but mostly on my phone. They told me I'd be back. They were right.

I really wanted a brisket and egg breakfast taco 🌮 and decided to try a different restaurant. I ordered the king George, matador and the fried egg and brisket taco. The plate came with rice and refried beans. The food came as pictured but the flavor was very mid. The rice was under seasoned and the beans were a little undercooked. The taco 🌮 trio came with a red and green sauce, that tasted eerily similar. Most green sauces have a little spice, this one was sweet. The tacos were on flour tortillas that were super small and barely contained the filling. In all, I was severely underwhelmed and probably won't be returning.

Food was cold and crusty. Yes, CRUSTY! Only good thing is that they’re open reaaaally late. I was desperate coming out of work for options other than burgers, but after trying their tacos I’d rather starve than wait over 20 minutes for 3 tacos and rice. Their sauce wasn’t fresh either, tasted saline-like, with salt making up most of the flavor profile. There’s better options, AVOID!

Wooo weee this place slapped! The crispy pork belly tacos were super delicious, got 2 for now and 1 for later! Straight fire!
Ordered some nachos today. Every single chip was stale.
They also don’t answer their phone..

Gotta laugh at some of these comments in the reviews talking about “Mexican food” or “Tex-mex” but this place just has good tacos. Period. It’s not claiming to be authentic or best in Austin. It’s just good tacos.

This place is an absolute gem in college town. The food is affordable with generous portions and hearty. We had the brisket nachos and they were the best. We also had breakfast tacos and every bite was stacked.

Got a total of 6 tacos and they were not all they're cracked up to be. Very small, tastes basic as hell, and for 36 dollar???? I'll stick to my local taco truck where all the flaver is
Tyson’s Tacos is hands down one of the best taco spots in Austin. The vibe is chill, local, and creative — exactly what you’d expect from a place that never closes and never disappoints. The tacos are fire. Whether you’re going classic with bacon and egg or getting adventurous with their off-menu creations, the flavor hits every time. The tortillas are fresh, the ingredients are top-tier, and they’ll even let you trade a good song for a taco. If you’re in Austin and haven’t been to Tyson’s, you’re missing out.
