Really enjoyed our food. We got the gumbo, red beans & rice, gravalox, and crab & shrimp salad—all of it was delicious, and our favorites were the latter two. We'll definitely return!

Food: Simple, casual, but delicious. Smoked trout dip + dill chips 10/10, potato salad 10/10, orange cream 8/10 (a little too sweet for my taste but maybe just right for most), Shrimp po boy 10/10, Uptown burger 7.5/10, Hot roast beef po boy 7/10, cinnamon roll 8/10
Atmosphere: Lively sports bar. Place is very popular, better make a reservation

Food was great
The service was excellent
Our waitress was probably one of the best waitresses we’ve ever had
The manager is just the greatest and nicest person on earth
We did have some complications but they really went above and beyond to fix those small hiccups
Thank yall again!

Came in yesterday and had an amazing meal but this female manager with black and white hair wants come up touching our tables making everyone feel weird with her condescending tone and making her staff look bad when our server was amazing! She ruined our experience and probably wouldn’t go back because of her specifically who ever she is yall need figure it out

This place really took me by surprise. I have always seen it but never been. We came on a Sunday around noon just when it started getting busy. We got seated right away and our server was really tentative. Our food came out quickly as well. I didn’t know Austin had a Louisiana-Texas inspired restaurant and we really liked our food! Getting Gumbo and Red Beans & Rice in Austin is really refreshing LOL everything we had was good. I want to come back and try the dinner menu!

Downtown Burger was great, lots of flavor.
Grilled Oysters were a first for me and were really tasty, not fishy.
Fried Shrimp Pooboy was a hit.
The orange and cream shake was a little smaller than I was expecting, but delicious.

This establishment has SPORTS in the name. It's very misleading. Behind their are a couple of TVs no bigger than 19 inches. And where we sat there was a big flat screen playing golden girls. Had to ask several times to switch to a ball game . We only had a couple of drinks each, fair at best, nothing to boast about. A little overpriced and small.

This was my second trip here and if the service wasn’t so below average this time, I wouldn’t be leaving this. However this just wasn’t the case. I felt like the service was very poor for a large group.

We had about 9 in our party. I ordered the steak frites and had the enjoyment of eating my food about 20+ minutes after everyone else. Literally everyone was finished by the time my plate came out. Not only did they clearly forget to cook my order with everyone else, the waitress didn’t even acknowledge this. She slyly dropped off my plate of food only to disappear for another 20 minutes.

Not only was my food 20+ minutes after everyone, so everyone ate while I sat there, the steak was WAY under cooked. I asked for medium and it was VERY rare. The problem with was the waitress disappeared again, which she did throughout the entire 2+ hours of my dining experience, so I wasn’t even able to tell her. I had to eat a very undercooked steak and to be honest it was a lame experience. Zero acknowledgement to one of the worst things that can happen in a dining experience- eating alone after everyone because the restaurant screwed up.

Our water on the table was left empty most of the meal. Also, I’m not there to pound beers, but it was a stretch to order 2 beers in over 2 hours. It seemed as if she was oblivious to what was happening at our table.

I’m sorry, but if we’re spending over $650 as a group, I feel you should be a TAD more attentive.

The good: shrimp cocktail and trout dip are great. Good local beer selection. The outside of the steak was great, however it was not even CLOSE to medium.

The bad: bad service. Poor attitude. Zero conversation or smiles from our waitress. Undercooked steak. My food came out 20+ minutes after everyone and ate alone. Zero acknowledgement from staff.
