There were 3 of us. We each got 1 taco, and shared a basket of chips/hot sauce ( had no idea they charged for chips/hot sauce and we each got a glass of tea, even though I asked for water. The total was $27.32 not even including a tip. That's absolutely insane!!!

some of the best Mexican food around Austin, been going since I was a kid and the food has only improved since then. the breakfast tacos are killer and the servers are always kind and thoughtful. if you want some authentic Mexican food in north Austin this is the place to go.

When you arrive, there is a homestyle feel to the atmosphere. The waitresses are friendly and can assist you in whatever you need. Then, they bring out complimentary salsa that has a lot of zing to it with a phenomenal flavor. The menus are crystal clear about what you're getting and the price. Once you order, the food is out quicker than you're used to and it is hot enough to eat, but not hot enough to burn yourself. I had the barbacoa plate and it came with 4 tortillas, just enough to make 4 tacos. The perfect meal. Better than San Diego Mexican food.

Very good food served fresh and hot by happy servers. Love the salsa!! And the carne guisada. And the migas breakfast tacos. Prices are about the same as everywhere else but the portions are healthy. And I like that over the years, they are constantly upgrading the restaurant.

No homemade tortillas. It should be made very clear that they are not using homemade tortillas. Neither corn nor flour. Would not recommend. Waitress was really nice though!

This is my go to Mexican food spot. Been going to Vasquez for years and will always continue to go there. The breakfast, especially the Menudo is the best hands down. The servers are friendly, attentive and have been there for years. I know all the servers and they are always very attentive. The food is always consistently muy delicious.

The service was awesome our waiter was so nice and attentive. The food was really good too the picture really doesn’t do it justice.
I’m really picky about my steak but it was delicious and the complimentary chips were warm & delicious
