Waited in line. My only complaint would be having a paper menu by the door, would have helped make a decision before we got to register. We had to wait till we got closer to the register to see menu.
Parking: Had to walk a couple of blocks to get to Velvet Taco.
Kid-friendliness: Good atmosphere, any questions you have they are patient to answer. Employees here are happy and kind.

I had the shrimp taco and Quessa birria tacos with elite. The food was amazing. We ended up going back a second night and the quality was just as good! I gave service 4 star because the guy at the register was not very helpful or understanding of it being our first time in. I asked what the ranch water was, his reply "alcohol". I would still eat here again, but just Google questions you have about the food and drink ahead of time.

I did not have a good experience at this location. At one point, everyone stopped working for a little powwow. You can see people eating in the back kitchen. Other customers were also looking and waiting for their food and started to approach the counter, wondering what was going on. Was also cold when it came out.

It was ok, I have waited for some time now to eat at this place. I was a bit disappointed, my wife's drink was hot and it was a premixed ranch water. The brisket nachos was the only saving grace.

I had high hopes for this place since it gets high ratings on Google. The restaurant itself is nice, and the service is good, but the tacos were disappointing. The chimichurri taco is mediocre and doesn't taste like the Argentinian flavors it claims. The Mexicali shrimp taco was much better, but still not great compared to all the other places in Austin where you can get amazing tacos.

I’m not sure if the business model relies on drunk people not noticing that they are being skimped, but the serving sizes are preposterous. At first I thought I was overreacting, but my friend opened her taco and it was worse than mine. There was visibly less than an ounce of meat within the entire taco.
A bit noisy.

This location likes to have long lines out the door with one cashier. I ended up ordering online while waiting in line then received my food before everyone in front of me. Poor old lady employee being over worked on the register as the manager is just sitting with another manager with a new hire. It took them about 15 mins to realize one of them could get on the register. The management here- get it together y’all, pay attention, less side talking… 20mins for two tacos no thank you, I rather hunt for a spot at the downtown location. UPDATE: not a good time to go weekends nighttime 9:30p Saturday visit, clubs have dude Broa bunch of alcoholics frolicking, the security guard abruptly and rudely told me not to hold the front door open although the line went out the front door and the couple in front of me was holding it open for minutes until it was my turn- the Security guard needs manners saying please and thank you could help. Or a sign to keep the front door closed while in a long line out the door so he doesn’t need to be authoritative & keep repeating to certain guests while visiting. STACIE IS THE 🌮🐐 Stacie had a great smile energy n tone while she greeted me with my order, STACIE is the only thing they have going here when it comes to kind n genuine service. GO STACIE! if it wasn’t for my favorite tacos and Stacie I def would not come back. 🥳🙌👁️🌟✨

Really like the fact that they offer a lettuce taco. Tacos are very good and like the weekly specials. Highly recommend the cuban pig.

Been here multiple times and it’s always been fast and great. Went on a Sunday and it was dead, three people working. Took probably 20 minutes to order just standing at the register with no one coming over, and another 40 to get our food and when we went in to check they were so rude for no reason. Brought a small group of family from out of town here and it was such a let down.

Long lines and nothing to write home about.
Had heard rave reviews. They way they serve large orders you need to be prepared for some mess ups. Count yourself lucky if you get what you ordered.
