I love the way that velvet taco brings different type types of foods together… whether it’s shrimp and grits tacos, or my favorite chicken tikka masala tacos… the flavor is always fantastic. I tried the steak chimichurri tacos today and wow, lots of flavor and really tender steak. I also tried the curry queso with chips today and it was delicious! Next time I’m coming for these tacos and a couple of margaritas!

We were so excited to have Velvet Taco in our neighborhood. However, I've been to Velvet Taco twice now and both times it seems like they can not get my order right. Also I order 1 time inside and 1 time in the drive thru. Both time it took over 35 minutes for me to get my order. of 1 taco and 1 queso.
People who order after me, got their order before me. So if you have plenty of time to wait around...do it, but personally both times I have had a terrible experience with this place. Way to long to get an order to go for the price you pay for the food.

Great tacos. If u like gourmet type stuff. Just try it and see what u think. Not typical tacos so u might get overwhelmed at first but they can make it how ever u like. Just opened so be patient with staff. They are trying.

My bestie and I came in here Wednesday last week to grab a bunch of tacos for a movie night. I had never been to Velvet Taco before and was super excited to try it! As soon as we walked in i could tell it was soooo clean and the decor was so cool and they had great music playing. They have a huge menu on the wall which I loved! The girl who took our order I believe her name was Julia, was INCREDIBLE!!! She was full of amazing suggestions and came over to talk to us while our food was being made to tell us more awesome menu items we should try, she was literally so sweet I love her. The manager came out I believe her name was Claudia, she was also so nice! Overall such a good experience and the food was great. Big shout out to my girl Julia, I’ll definitely be back!

Service wait time is 30 minutes with 2 people ahead of you. Kitchen staff is meandering, working like snails. With all the taco spots in the burnet corridor you better get it together. There's other places to go.
