My favorite Guac in all of Austin!!
I loved the chicken tortilla, but they really skimp on the portion and the noodles in it are kind of weird tasting (I love dish society's chx tortilla)
I'd try something else next time!
But DEFINITELY the Guac

I’ve been here many times now and have yet to have one bad meal here. The food is amazing.

Service is okay, the waiters aren’t as professional (think a career waiter who anticipates your needs) as I’d hope for the price point and some of the bus boys are a bit rude/rushed, but we see past it for the great food and nice ambiance.

Happy hour menu is very misleading. Items are $9 not $4. Not worth the $9 price tag either.

A+ vibe. Atmosphere unique, and modern. Waiting on our table, We loved the patios fireplace because it’s a little cool toda, but all windows and screens around it Were open so it wasn’t as cozy like it appeared. we moved inside. Following the other reviews, we got the scallops, but they weren’t our favorite. We need a little more umpf in general and between the scallops, guacamole and the sausage nachos we’re glad the guacamole was flipping amazing and made up for the scallops. Our margaritas were phenomenal -with this great Smoky flavor we will definitely be back.

Went for Valentine’s Day dinner and for the most part had a great experience. The waitress, atmosphere and time to get our food were all very good, only complaint would be that I think my food gave me some food poisoning as I spent the entire 15nth with stomach cramps, nausea and other symptoms. To give them the benefit of the doubt, I had never tried steak but I had heard good things about it so I decided to get it that night so maybe my stomach just isn’t equipped for rare meats. All in all will definitely be stopping by again and maybe trying something else since everything else we got tasted great!

Our second time visiting and it was as excellent as the first time. Food, service and atmosphere are great for an intimate dinner.

Elora our waitress was very helpful and kind. She added to the exceptional service at our dining out during valentine’s night. Thank you to the staff for an amazing night.

I have always had a great time at Verdad. Great food and impeccable service. Currently one b of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Austin.

Our Valentines day dinner at Verdad was excellent. Terrence was our server and he was very attentive and helpful with the menu. We started with lobster quesadillas then ceviche.Thefajitas for dinner with two margaritas. Everything was excellent

This was a Valentine's Day reservation for my husband and self. We were looking forward to relaxing and spending some time together away from our kids and focusing on each other. I was sat promptly, a young female server immediately greeted me while my husband parked and met me inside. She was very warm and friendly. As soon as my husband sat, we ordered drinks and salsa. The server came to our table quickly again wanting other appetizer orders. We said we weren't ready and taking our time. She was relentless, demanding our app saying she'd send it out later. It came out fairly quickly and immediately were asked to take our dinner order. We said we weren't ready. We were feeling very rushed and the mood shifted to stressful. She interrupted our conversation and said she wanted our dinner order maybe 2 minutes later, after we said we weren't ready. We were tired of her demanding orders so we gave our order and she said she would put in our order in 10 minutes. I said 20, please! She agreed. We were still appetizing. Once she walked away, 4-5 minutes later, our food was being served. 😬 The staff said they would take it back but we didn't want to waste food. I don't understand why she was so relentless, maybe to rush us and get another group sat? It was very odd. The food was delicious but the entire experience was ruined be being rushed and interrupted every 3-4 minutes. The server apologized for dinner coming out early but she still didn't understand she ruined our experience from the very beginning, especially on Valentine's Day when couples want to talk and enjoy their time together without rushing. We would not want her service again. The drinks and food were delicious as always.

My food Critic so this is a big deal for me! I've eaten there twice and it's been delicious each time. The filet mignon tacos or fajitas are delicious. The server, Caleb, was exceptional. Five stars for sure. I will be back. The ambience is divine and the place is top-notch. Trust me, go! Wow, don't forget that chocolate dessert. The one with the ice cream. Lol.

Verdad Mexican Cocina continues to impress us every single time. This was our third visit, and once again, the experience was outstanding from start to finish.

As a family navigating celiac disease, we cannot say enough about how knowledgeable and intentional the team is with their celiac protocols. Our waiter was incredibly well informed, and we truly appreciated that a manager came to our table to personally explain how they ensure safety in the kitchen. That level of care and communication makes such a difference and immediately puts you at ease.

Beyond the confidence we feel dining here, the food is absolutely incredible. We always love sharing the fiesta platter, and the grilled octopus, bone marrow, and bacon wrapped filet are consistently phenomenal. The mushrooms were perfection, and the Mexican candy dessert was a solid 10 out of 10.

We love bringing our family and friends here, and every visit reinforces why Verdad is one of our favorite spots. Thoughtful service, exceptional food, and a team that truly understands and respects dietary needs. We genuinely appreciate this restaurant and will absolutely continue coming back.
