Everything was outstanding as Vespaio always is. This was possibly our final visit before Vespaio closes 2/28/2026. No more reservations are available. We will try to do a walk-in visit towards the end of February. Vespaio has been one of Austin's most outstanding restaurants since it opened in 1998. It had a 28-year run and we are sad to see it close. My understanding is a Canadian clothing store is taking over the space. My first visit was in 1998 - I would go every chance we could over the years. Vespaio, you are gonna be missed in ATX!

We had an outstanding experience at Vespaio for my husband's birthday dinner last night. The staff were so kind and gracious, and we had excellent service from our waiter, Daniel. Everything tasted wonderful, and the ambience of the space was lovely. We had the Suppli, Texas Strawberries Salad, Lasagne alla Bolognese (definitely big enough for us to share) and the Tiramisu. We're so sad to hear this incredible establishment is closing at the end of the month! Don't miss your chance to dine here!

Fantastic place to eat. It's a real shame that they are being forced to close permanently due to greedy developers in Austin who want to tear-down this long standing institution.

Vespaio is an Austin institution, for good reason. Front to back we've always had a good, if not great experience. Food is delicious, the service is friendly and attentive, and there is an obvious feeling that it's a "mom and pop" establishment. I'm sorry to see so many of these places be replaced by big (or small) chain restaurants that have very little soul. Vespaio, we will miss you!

All I can say is OMG!!! Went last night for some eats and the food was off the charts! Bolognese, Mussels, Caico Pasta and the ravioli were fantastic! So sad this place is being shuttered. Thank you Daniel and team for a lifetime of memories!!
