Everything we had was DELICIOUS. We tried the burrata, the bistecca, pappardelle con bolognese, and one of the dishes of the day. We paired it with a red wine recommended by Tom, sommelier, and it enhanced all the flavors. The tiramisu was the perfect way to end our dinner, with a nice cup of espresso. My family and I enjoyed our time there, and the service and attention were great!
This has been my favorite restaurant for 27 years and it never disappoints. The Cacio e pepe, butternut squash agnolotti, lasagna and all the dishes are fantastic. I love to watch the kitchen and the staff is outstanding. Wine list is heavy Italian which makes me very happy. Perfect as always.
3 of us food snobs from Chicago come to Austin 2-3x/year. People don't believe us when we tell them Austin has the best Italian we've ever had. And we've been in many states. This was our 2nd visit to Vespaio and it confirmed it is our favorite. It even beats out Red Ash. And the staff is impeccable. Across the board. We will be back.
