One of my favorite restaurants in Austin (if not my favorite). The spicy orange drink with mezcal is a must.
Catfish on greens and literally everything else is delicious.

Buzzy Cajun restaurant and cocktail bar recommended by an Uber driver. Didn't disappoint.
Swordfish special was ace. Did well to cater for Gluten free / coeliac.

This place is totally unique in decor and service. It's a secret that you must discover by visiting this restaurant. We order their cocktails. Then we ordered 2 orders of Gumbo and Fried Boudin and Blackened Salmon Po boy. The food was served heat hot and fresh with lots of flavor and season to perfection. Everything this is in house prepared. It h my goodness the Gumbo was mmmmm good. Everything was oh, oh so good. You must make this place a priority to stop in and try for self.
We will definitely be back when we're back in town.
Hats off to the Chef.

We had our first visit to Vic and Al’s and really enjoyed the experience. From the start, we were greeted warmly at the front, given an overview of the place, and even offered a couple of non-alcoholic drink samples that double as their base for signature cocktails.
We tried two cocktails — the Hurricane and a cucumber-based drink — both were excellent and not overly sweet. For happy hour, we ordered the Boudin Balls, Red Beans and Rice, and Gumbo, then finished with the Beignets. Everything was flavorful, well-prepared, and true to New Orleans-style cooking.
Service was great, prices were reasonable, and the overall vibe felt welcoming and relaxed. Definitely recommend for anyone who loves Cajun or Creole food. Make your first visit during happy hour (Monday through Friday, 3–6 PM) — it’s a perfect intro to what they do best.
Negative: the parking lot is awful.

Cool little place with some designer cocktails and a Cajun inspired menu. The crawfish etouffée was good. The red beans and rice was good too. Parking is limited, so plan for that. The staff were all super nice.

Delicious vegetarian-friendly food (and willingness to adapt to my food allergies); great, fun ambiance; friendly, helpful, quick staff; and a REAL parking lot?! Yes, please! I don't visit Austin super frequently, but I absolutely will be back when I do go. My only tiny complaint is that it's noisy and I'm hard of hearing so I struggled a fair bit, but that's nearly impossible to avoid in such a compact space so I don't fault them at all for it. Also it's maybe a tiny bit pricey if you're on a budget, but well worth the value if you can afford it. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Fantastic!

This is not a Cajun restaurant. Bennett doughy, red beans, and rice did not taste Cajun at all, pretty bland, limbo was too thick, the flavoring was not Cajun. The chicken and biscuits were ok, could have been more spicy, and the bread pudding was not pudding. 3 doughy balls with some sweet sauce poured over them. This is not a Cajun restaurant, IOHO.
Dri is and the atmosphere are awesome!

Vic and Al’s opened literally about 3 months after the pandemic was announced. I remember coming here in the summer of 2020 and getting blackened catfish to go—it was good then. It’s amazing now??
I’ve lived down the street from this place for years and for some reason it became lost to my memory for a bit, not the usually dinner spot for me. I went there with a friend recently and wow, things have amped up. Amazing scratch made food and drinks, the FRIENDLIEST staff (everyone’s personality shines), and such a cool space. Travis greeted me the most recent times I went and he is so sweet and welcoming. I got the orange drink, blackened catfish over rice, and potato salad—🥰❤️! So yummy and even better than I remembered. Last time got the shrimp etouffee, which was also insanely delicious. Also they make the gumbo to be eaten with the potato salad 🥗 so do that.
Thank you for helping me re-discover Manor!

I had a very very thin slice of Cajun fish over a lot of rice my fish was not worth it my money it felt like I was eating only a cajun topping on my rice. It was my cheat day for rice and pasta but it was way over a cup so if you like rice and a little pieces of thin fish than that's a good dish to have, because the flavor was very tasty...the service was awesome 👌 👏🏾 great vibe I will return in hopes to try the fried chicken dish
