Firstly the cost to play is $7 per person. The drinks run about $12 or more per pop. You can’t go pick your own game off the shelf and you don’t have regular restaurant service. If you want anything you have to push a button and wait for them to bring you the game or come take your order. The “game master” who is supposed to teach you how to play the game refused to use “she” or “him” etc so trying to explain the game was incredibly confusing because he’d only use “they” for all of us.

There are better places! Find a place that’s family friendly and adorable and lets you just play the games you want to play when you want to play them.

I reserved a private family DnD one shot and we had a great time! The dungeon master, Matt, did a great job of putting together a family friendly experience for us and kept the story engaging and fun for beginners.

Cozy atmosphere, some decent food and a large number of games with enthusiastic service. People with poor posture or bad backs should probably stick to the booth seating rather than the stools with no backs with are the seating option at the larger tables in the main room.

Great drinks and service. Fun place for games with groups. The decor is super fun.

My friends and I come to Vigilante all the time and the service and food NEVER disappoint! The themed nights are fun and so well constructed, just finished the Star Wars trivia night and costume contest. (We won!) I will always recommend this place for a good time and good food!!

Fun assortment of board games to explore with as much guidance as you need from game master staff. Great service at the push of a button (seriously!) & even helped us celebrate a birthday with free freshly baked cookies. Awesome place to catch up with friends or go to for date night!

Manager Brita closed the kitchen half an hour before usual time, yet she had a fresh plate brought to her at the bar when I went to get a drink. Where I watched Bartender Kevin not pour the jigger fully, then refused to correct the overpriced drink. Game master had awful hygiene and was overly picky about every aspect, exasperating. Staff ruined what was supposed to be a fun family game night. Avoid until they get people who care about service.

This place and staff are super particular about everything at this place. Theres too many regulations and rules for this place to be relaxing and enjoyable. Also Breta was was instigating my family the entire night. Overall the place was overpriced. The food sucked and they cheap out on the amount of alcohol that you over pay for. Was really looking forward to having a great night here but this is got to be the worse place in Austin.

I loved my experience at vigilante. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. My group needed help learning the rules of a new board game, and one of the staff members did an amazing job explaining the rules quickly and clearly. We had a lot of fun, and the game selection was great. The food was great and the atmosphere was friendly and cozy. It felt like we walked into a cozy tavern. Everything was clean and inclusive, including the bathrooms which were very clean. 10/10 would come again!

Everyone was so kind and amazing! The game master explained how to play “That’s not a hat” so well we want to own the game! This is such an amazing place and we will be coming back to try out some other games! Drinks were so amazing as well!

Dined at Vigilante last night with my husband and friends and had an amazing time! The food and drinks were spectacular! The overall atmosphere was such a unique experience! Amazing service overall and the Game master really knew his games! He floated around the dining room helping each table with their different games! We can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu and new games!
