This place is HUGE! Super friendly and attentive team members. We had a large group and they handled us well. Large outdoor seating area and amazing food - I will be back again and again. Super easy access from Holiday Inn Express hotel over the road - so if you are at a conference there make sure you take time out to eat here.

I came around 4 pm looking for a quick (late) lunch and was seated within minutes. They provided chips and salsa to snack on which was nice. My waiter was fast and had my food out within 6 or 7 minutes. I ordered the chipotle chicken enchiladas. They were good but nothing special really. Two medium chunky chicken enchiladas with a side of rice and beans totaled $19 and some change (tip included).

Excellent group dinner at VIVO last night. Food was excellent, service was very good even while busy, and the mood / ambiance was just right. Highly recommend the Steak Jalisco - the sauce is killer.

I'm going to say this... this place is pretty good. The salsa is on point. True Mexican salsa(please do not change it, its hard to find good salsa n chips here in this city of Austin). The food is pretty good. This is going to sound funny but the food is for healthy Mexican food. Reminds me what rich Mexican people eat. All my Mexican freinds that I took here to eat agree.... we felt rich and healthy. It was great. Thank you and don't change that please.

Puffy tacos were tasty and good portions. Pambazo was something different we haven't had before, the bean, chorizo and potato filling was nicely balanced. Delicious tortilla soup and house dressings for the salad. Reasonably priced. I'm glad we were nearby and stopped in for lunch!

Vivo was a nice place, and I chose it based on all the 5 star reviews. My experience was 3 star at best. I'm not sure of them, but my experience was rather poor. Had the chicken fajita taco plate, and the tacos were good and good portioned. But the rice, beans, and guacamole are definitely prepack and nothing authentic. The service was terrible. 1 person sat me, 1 brought me chips, 1 brought me water, and then after almost 10 mins, my server Gabby arrived and she was very un pleasant, after the order 1 more different person delivered food and I had to ask twice to get un happy Gabby back so I could close out. Based on their attitude alone, I wouldn't go back.
5 out of 5 stars! My only complaint is that it's typically pretty cold inside, I recommend bringing a sweater or hoodyVegetarian options: California nachos are wonderful! Challupa Compuesta was a bit basic but still good.
