OMG! It was soo good and fulfilling ! I got the chicken tenders with fried okra with cheesy Mac , and I also had a little the fried onions . It was delicious ! The food was freshly done and warm . I will come back to try the different toppings ! I could not wait to eat it, so I ate one of the the chicken tenders before taking this picture .

I heard about them on IG so decided to take my mom out for easter to give her a break from cooking for the family. The opening hours were until 6pm, we arrived at 5, walked in and then they told us they took the last order at 5. I’ve never had a food business turn me away while they are open. I’ve actually been to some places that stay open late if anything, not close early.

I ordered the oxtail plate with collard greens and red beans and rice 2 peace of cornbread and peach cobbler final bill was like $60 bucks so it’s a bit pricey in here but the food was good. They have long ticket times 25 minutes or more I waited but it was worth the wait. All in all I’ll be back and I’m more than happy to support black businesses.Parking: Lots of cars in the lot due to an adjacent bar and 3 food trucks in the lot.

The food was delicious, and I was there twice a week, depending on the time you go to make your order. It could be rather long, especially weekends, and the atmosphere was

After waiting in the line for 20 minutes, my family and I had to wait an additional hour to get our food. After waiting an hour, we had to ask about our food. The sides were delivered cold but the chicken and fish were warm. Personally, I will not be returning. The food was subpar and the service was horrible.

Love the food just can't ever get it. I have been here 4 times and was only able to eat once. The line is always long with multiple groups leaving because of the wait times. Not sure how they are able to stay afloat. No call in orders and no reservations....

If you’re looking for soul food, look no further. One of the best food I’ve had in my entire life. This week I had to pleasure to try the Oxtail Mac and Cheese Egg Roll and oh.my.God, the flavors, the flavors were all there. I’ll be ordering a few more to bring home next time. Also, the wings are amazing, just simply amazing, best in the area and one of best I’ve had in my life. 11/10

I really loved the catfish plate I ordered, which was piping hot and flavorful, and the service was very friendly. It is a drive from where I'm at, but everything about this restaurant is so good that I am going to continue going back as much as

Very Disappointing, I wished I would have saved my money and went to McDonald’s instead. I was visiting from out of town and chose this place because of all the positive reviews but now I’m thinking some of those reviews had to have been paid for. The place was crowded, but my wait was not too long about 20/30 minutes. Spent over $100 for a party of 4 on a to go order and the food was awful. Even with using tartar sauce my fish had no taste. The cornbread was extremely hard. Peach Cobbler for $7.50 no taste… wish I had gone to the Peach Cobbler Factory. My sides were Mac and cheese and yams. We also ordered chicken and nothing was good. The only thing worth paying for was the sweet tea and kool aid. Food very pricey for no taste. I ordered 2 Mac and cheese but didn’t realize until getting In car that I was missing one, but after tasting food I didn’t even bother go back for it nor my money couldn’t be bothered with waiting again. This is the 2nd time this has happened going to a place with a lot of good reviews and paying a lot of money and the food taste awful…next time I go somewhere I’ll order one dish first to taste before ordering for my entire family.Lastly, I do want to say the staff was friendly. However I don’t like when the staff fix the food by grabbing the chicken and fish with their gloves instead of using the tongs to pick up the food. People wear gloves , but still touch so much stuff and don’t change their gloves.

Located in RR620 @Anderson Mill, there's an oasis of southern cooking, soul food with Chicago roots. The interior is an amalgam shiplap and stucco caught in-between north and south with posters on the wall, circa 50/60's wood furniture solid and inviting. Food smells from the steam table guides you. An array of items cafeteria style awaits. You pick your choices pay and sit. The food was great fried fish, collard greens, fries okra and a pork chop, split the collard greens egg roll with my friend of many years. Who had chicken, fish, grits, and yams. Everything was cooked just right. The meats were fried but not too greasy crispy and tender. But the collard greens were greasy just as they be, in a broth with the taste of bacon, spices, vinegar, and peppers yummy! Okra was a memory of my mom lightly covered in batter, fresh cut, fried but the juices were still there, just not slimy, great for the kid still in me.I had cucumber and watermelon water, delicious. All my aunts hover over me, smiling at my return to food that I grew up on.Try it Whip My Soul is the change you need on your food palate.
