First and only time here. Despite the iffy reviews regarding the service, I decided to give this place a chance. That was my mistake. Hostess was polite and friendly, she seated me in the patio and told me my server would be right with me. I saw a guy walking around but figured there was two servers outside. After sitting there for a while I noticed a woman point to me and he walked to me to take my order. By this time I had plenty of time to look over the menu so I placed my order.
He was rude, cold and ignored me after taking my order. I never got my drink and a table of girls that was seated minutes after me got their soup and drinks right away. I decided to leave because at this point in my experience it was obvious he was going to give me crappy service so I decided to take my money elsewhere. Now I know those reviews regarding service here were not exaggerating.

The food was great, we really enjoyed the braised eggplant, Peking duck, and crispy noodles with beef and chicken. Family style plates for sharing. When we made our reservations they only had outdoor seating available and unfortunately car traffic can be distracting and affects the vibe/ambiance.

This is a long overdue review for me. Wu Chow is my all-time favorite restaurant in Austin. The Shanghai Soup Dumplings and Dry-Fried Local Green Beans are the best, but everything on the menu is absolutely delicious. Everyone I bring here raves about it. I’m so sad they closed the South Lamar location!

This was our first time and we will definitely come back. Great menu, our server was very knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations, nice ambience without exorbitant pricing and everything was delicious. Not a single thing ordered we all didn't love.

First time here. Server excellent at explaining the dishes, sizes, and tastes. Every selection we made was great. Plenty for 4 people, and a little leftover

If you go here make sure to get the pork soup dumplings. Food is served family style, so be ready to share. The atmosphere is modern and clean. Staff are all very friendly and attentive, but not annoyingly so.

I’ve always loved this place but the last couple times I’ve been, their dishes seem like 60% onions. Maybe it’s just me but I feel like the onions shouldn’t be the star of the dish, especially for the price.

We went for the Dim Sum Brunch sat on the patio there was a lot of street noise, the food was excellent but didn't have any low carb options so don't come here on a diet!

I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday yesterday thinking that it was going to be a great experience and it was not and here’s why our reservation was for eight we didn’t get seated until 830 which cut in two hour dinner service because the restaurant closes at 10 when we sat down when we weren’t properly greeted I actually had to ask the server what her name was. Her name was Ireland, which was a beautiful name that I would remember and there really wasn’t any conversation it was just like what do you want to order and we were told that it was family style portions definitely not true but the food and the service upfront was very piecemealed. We had 10 people and they just started to bring out random plates at all different times which OK fine if I known that it would’ve been OK but then they brought out one bowl of white rice for a party of 10 so we were all like wondering if another bowl was gonna come and then the drinks didn’t make it to the table until like 30 minutes later we had to ask for refills on tea and soda when the food came three dishes, went back because they were either overcooked chicken, which was very rubbery and hard or it was missing sauce so very dry and when I asked the server for something and shared that I was concerned with the experience that we were having since it was my birthday, and I was really wanting to have a great experience, especially at a new restaurant. She snapped at me in a very unprofessional way and said that she’s just there to take the order and then she was very overwhelmed and flustered and I just said OK well if this is too much for you, could you please get someone like the manager to help with you know the table and with some of our concerns and she was very argumentative with me and I thought that that was not only uncalled for but unprofessional like you never do that in the service industry or anywhere for that matter, I was very respectful. I even apologize at the end in the event that maybe I came off to direct and she didn’t even apologize back that just speaks volumes well and then on top of it the restaurant closed at 10 and we were feeling very rushed and the check came. The price was astronomical. They did takeoff the dishes that were sent back. They put gratuity on there which for my point of view gratuity is optional always optional because her service was terrible so this is a real review of this restaurant in my experience for my birthday yesterday we will not be going back to this restaurant and I will be looking to speak to the general manager . Oh, and also parking was a nightmare we had to park in multiple garages move our vehicles based on when the parking expired. One parking garage was $30. The other one was nine dollars so just something to be aware of in the event that you choose to go to this restaurant there is no public parking for free.

It fell off. Service has deteriorated, staff is slow and borderline rude and entitled, everything seems poorly managed. Honestly feels like PF Changs. Easy to get a reservation, but not worth it anymore.

My birthday dinner party didn't go as we expected. The food and service were poor! Even after expressing concerns to our server, Ireland and the manager, Sarah, things didn't improve. Food was overpriced and they charged extra for Tito's (we weren't given options). Parking was a nightmare and very expensive. We will never go back and urge you not to pick this place in the future.

Our family goes on Sundays for the Dim Sum. It is without a doubt our favorite restaurant in the known universe. Some of our favorites to order are the soup dumplings, shrimp har gow, scallion pancakes, sticky rice, I mean it’s all delicious. The service has always been very good to us and we’ve gone many times. Highly recommend.

Shared plates with a group of 8- we each chose 1 dish and had plenty of food. Cocktails were also very good.

The waitstaff was amazing! The restaurant is beautiful! We sat outside and the noise level was unbearable - we couldn't hear ourselves talk. The food was marginal, at best. The Sichuan Deep Fried Chicken was chewy and hard to chew or swallow. The Snapper smelled really bad so I couldn't eat it. The Green Beans & Mixed Greens were the best thing at our table. I feel like the quality of the food has drastically gone down in the last couple of years. Very unfortunate.
