Our go-to dumpling joint.
AND the whole menu really is great.. staff is awesome, I remember them oddly enough, so they must be doing good.
We took our kids which is always hit or miss based on speed of service. WELL service was speedy and food was fresh with minimal wait so it was pleasant without and with the kids this time.
Ps There's plenty of parking here as well.

The food and drinks were great. The atmosphere is very aesthetically pleasing. All of the waiters/waitresses were very friendly. I went for their happy hour. I got the lychee martrini, chicken and taro egg rolls, chicken fried rice, honey prawns entree, and the dumplings flight. While the food is really good you don’t get very much of the entrees.
Parking: Parking is across the street in a gravel lot.

My shrimp fried rice was delicious but $21 for the size of portion that I got was out of control price wise.

I have been both locations of wu chow. This location the food was so so, I ordered green beans, chicken and soup dumplings , sesame prawns with pecans and crispy noodles with chicken, for dessert they only had ice cream which had ice in it , probably freezer burned a bit. Service was good, food was a little salty, green beans and dumplings were good along with prawns. I would not recommend the crispy noodles.
Food is great, not the most authentic but good atmosphere, beautiful modern decor, great service.

Prompt and attentive service. Nice table presentation, comfortable seating and good lighting.
Tried the new seasonal drink, Blueberry Yum Yum. A frozen treat, not too sweet, nice flavor balance and a good serving size, Really delish, I would prefer it to be a bit brighter, maybe by adding lime zest of simply a titch more lime juice.
The appetizer of Dofu was the best I have ever had! Incredibly well seasoned, great crispy texture outside and melt in your mouth soft on the inside. Huge portion!! The Vegetable Dumplings were insanely good, and pouring the sauce inside sent the flavor soaring! Even our non-veggie lover went nuts for them.
My son had the Sesame Beef and he audibly moaned at each bite. Again, large portion, but he couldn't stop himself from eating every single bit.
Go!! Enjoy! And tip well.

The Austin Restaurant Week lunch menu was great. Large portions for a good price. My server offered a vegetarian option and alternative first course soup option that were not listed on the menu - I'm glad they did because the chicken egg drop soup was delicious. Very nice and attentive service.
Consistent, good quality food in a comfortable, nice atmosphere. Servers are knowledgable though maybe distracted; last two times we ate there they forgot to order one of our dishes. A little on the pricey side for what it is but glad it is in the neighborhood.
I have been to wu chow twice before and both times were excellent. This time though I went with a group and it was just different. Previously the atmosphere was lively but it just didn't seem that way. We ordered mapo dofu (a dish we had before that was delicious and spicy), and it had zero spice. It just seems inconsistent. I hope we will come back and have an experience like we had the first two times.
It felt like the service and kitchen were at half strength. The food was good but we waited a long time for it to come out. Our waitress seemed to be waiting on the entire dining room. The restaurant was not itself and everything seemed lethargic.

Came here on a busy Saturday evening and there’s not one Asian person (including the staff) and we instantly knew something was off. The food is alright but the portion is OFFENSIVELY TINY. Make sure you eat before you come here.

The food was delicious! The service was mid. We were told we'd have two service partners but only met one. He was really talkative with the table next to us but didn't say much to us. Also the ambience was just off the lights were to bright for the night time dinner setting. The music kept messing up with the bachelor party going on in their private space. Our date night felt more like going to Chilis.whatever they are doing in the back of house/kitchen is working too bad the front of house doesn't match.
Food here is always good. One family member of mine is gluten sensitive. So it really helps a lot having their menu indicated which dish is gluten free. They are a bit stingy on rice. We ordered an appetizer and 4 dishes. Got one bowl of rice. :-/
Overall, I would not recommend this location. For the price, the quality of the food was not at all what we expected. We found many of the dishes to be either overcooked or lacking in flavor and were generally disappointed with the overall dining experience.
The cocktails were quite good, but unfortunately, the food was so subpar, that I don't think I'll be able to convince anyone else in my party to return.
The restaurant itself is stunning - great vibes, awesome decor, and lovely ambience....but even that couldn't make up for what was otherwise a below average meal. Maybe our expectations were too high. This restaurant has been highly recommended and has been on several "best restaurants" in Austin lists. Perhaps we were there on an off night, but we'll never be back to confirm.

The food was better than average for Chinese but holy Christ, this is what you get for 19 dollars. The container was half full.
