Went to the restaurant at 1200 on a Saturday and already didn’t have a few items that were on the menu. There were a group of people in the patio area that were having g a really good time blasting music too loud that made eating unenjoyable. Management of the place allowed this group to get out of hand and didn’t mind that it affected the ambiance of the rest of the restaurant. Not an enjoyable experience. Travel further south for a more enjoyable restaurant with better service and food.
Way overpriced for a neighborhood dinner spot! Wildly expensive. Great atmosphere though. Decent food

Not really worth the hype. Food and cocktails were good, but not stellar. Menu lacks inventiveness. Service definitely lacked - I felt it was a very long wait to order. They were definitely busy, but I would expect an acknowledgement at least, which didn't really happen. When the server finally came to take orders he definitely acted like he didn't give a shit. Didn't check on us the entire dinner, so it felt like we were just a check. Beware, it is LOUD and NOT at all relaxing or romantic, so not a good date night nor a good place to go to just enjoy a lovely meal. However if you're a 27 year old social media influencer, this is your scene. Not your scene if you're over 35 and just want a nice meal.

My wife and I had a late lunch today at Yamas. The food was excellent, as usual, but the noise level and service were unacceptable.
Our reservation was for 3 pm, so the restaurant was mostly empty. However, we were seated right next to a large group of very noisy girls. The noise level was probably over 80 decibels, and we could not even talk to each other. After a few appetizers, I asked the waiter if we could be moved to another table. The manager came by and apologized for the inconvenience, promising to take off the appetizers from the bill.
Meanwhile, the noisy girls left, so we stayed at the same table, and the rest of the meal was quiet.
I don't know if it was due to the time or some other reason, but we had three different waiters, each one explaining that they were taking over from the previous person. When I got the check, nothing was deducted from the bill as promised by the manager. No big deal, I paid and left a good tip.
The final insult was when we got home, and I had a message from OpenTable that the restaurant reported us as a "no-show" and that we would be charged $50. This is despite arriving 10 minutes early, and spending almost $300 dollars.
It is a shame, because the food at Yamas is excellent, but the problems with noise, and very confused service detracted from the overall experience. I doubt that we will be dining again at Yamas.

Food was good, music was too loud to actually enjoy the good food.
All the dishes have generous portion.
- Greek omelette was huge, goes great with feta cheese. I wish the dish comes up with something more refreshing than fries though. A bit too much for brunch.
- Lamb chop was cooked to perfection, noting to complain.
- Hummus platter was great, Hummus was our favorite, I can do without the olive one and spicy feta.
The restaurant is beautiful, but they started blasting music at around noon time with very loud bass, so it went far from a relaxing Sunday brunch fast. The staff are definitely enjoying the live music and I don’t blame them. Maybe tune down the bass next time? And we will definitely be back.

What an absolute gem. My wife and I sat at the bar for a low key dinner and had such a great night. Greeted by Cam, super friendly and knowledgeable Bartender. He made some spot on recommendations. Don't miss the octopus or the feta as an app. Had some great drinks too. The kebab plate was huge and we split that after our apps. Got to chat up a bit with Kostas, and that just sealed the deal that this place is run by people who truly care about their business, their customers, and the neighborhood. Even though we were stuffed Kostas brought some baklava and what a way to finish off the night. Can't wait to go back. 10/10

A pretty solid place. It's worth going just for the decor alone. They did a really fantastic job recreating the Greek aesthetic with this restaurant.
However, the food was also great! I came with a friend on a Saturday morning and we sat outside; it was a whole vibe. We both got the eggs benedict—and it was pretty good. However, the real highlight was the Skopelitiki cheese pie. This was really delicious and I doubt you can find it at many places in Austin.
The service was good and the food was pretty good. Really the main thing that takes a star from this place is the prices. Everything is really expensive to the point where it is hard to justify regardless of how excellent the food is.
With that being said, I would still recommend coming here. I think if you came with a large group of people for an event and took some great photos, it would be a great time.
Parking: There are free parking lots adjacent to the restaurant with plenty of space.

Everything was fantastic!! The food was the best Greek food we have had, even better than we had experienced in Greece!! The service was friendly, and everyone was very knowledgeable about the menu. The baklava was unbelievable! We are looking forward to returning.

I can’t say enough good things about our first dinner experience at Yamas.
A dear friend of ours recommended this amazing restaurant and I am so happy we found a new place to hang out for our date nights or dinner with friends.
Although we had a table reserved, we decided to have dinner at the bar. Not only was the staff very friendly, but the food was wonderful.
We tried a couple of cocktails and a few plates to share (ceviche, squid, Dolmadakia) We then ordered mussels, lamb chops and lamb kebab. It was a lot of food for the three of us but we loved trying everything .
Lamb was delicious but I absolutely recommend the mussels! It was a winner :)
Everyone was very nice and attentive, at the bar and in the dining room, which made our night very enjoyable.
Thank you, Yamas! We’ll be back! :)

The owner of the establishment treated my family and me as if we were animals. We had an issue with our reservation. We had reserved a table for 10 people, but only 7 showed up due to a family matter. When we asked why we were charged for the 3 people who didn't show, the owner rudely mistreated us. She wouldn't let us speak and was disrespectful from the start to the end of the conversation, even yelling at us when we simply asked a question. Her behavior was hypocritical, especially since her website claims to value respect for customers. She really needs to learn how to follow her own policies.
Yamas was absolutely brilliant. From the hostess to the server. First of all, as soon as you go to the entrance you feel your in Greece ✨ Every single detail of the restaurant is stunning and unique. Oliver was my server and he was outstanding, very professional, absolute polite and knew all the dishes to the point. His recommendations were excellent. I loved everything about my experience. 100% recommend the halibut ceviche, the pastitsio, the grilled branzino with lemon potatoes absolutely delicious. For drinks I recommend the Artemis spritz & Santorini Mule.
