This is literally one of my happy places! Staff is friendly and warm, atmosphere is cozy, and food is unparalleled. The amount of care and thoughtfulness that goes into every component of every dish is just amazing and hard to find. A really unique and fun concept that doesn’t take itself too seriously but you can tell there is some serious talent in that kitchen. Yellow ranger is a warm hug on a rainy day!
Shockingly good food. I was blown away by the flavour and quality of the meal, best Chinese food in Austin I've had, bar none. And probably half the price of restaurants that are recommended regularly. The bar itself is also a step above your typical dive bar. Pool and a darts board, need I say more.
Had this 3 times now. Had the queso at a house party and had to know where they got it from. In my opinion, Yellow Ranger has the best queso in town. Worth travelling for alone. Also had the burger and the Dan Dan noodles. The burger is legit. The Dan Dan was special. It has a nice Sichuan pepper flavor with super delicious fermented Bok Choy. I would prefer 5 spice ground pork in the noodles, but the larger pieces were well prepared as well. I'm guessing all the Asian dishes...
