I loved House Wine. Very cute space, but I'm sure it can get loud if it's busy. I'm not sure if it was the deal of the day or just the regular happy hour deal, but it was half off glasses of open bottles which was kind of fun. I would give it a five if the bartender wasn't wiping their nose while pouring our drinks

We went on a Saturday evening and it was almost empty with no patrons inside. We took a spot in the back section. They ignored us until after I went and checked with the host. We ordered mulled wine, moscato & the salmon platter. They forgot to bring my wine (after waiting 45 min)and had to over to the host to cancel my order. The host brings me the wine anyways. When asked how the wine was heated she tells me in a microwave in a wine glass that's not microwave safe. Worst service Average food Decent selection of wine The spot is perfect for a date though

Outdoor seating, live music and wine what's not to love! Friendly staff. Street parking you can pay using the Park ATX app.

My favorite wine bar in Austin! The patio is a little oasis, and I love the wine flights to try multiple wines. All the servers are super knowledgeable and friendly without an ounce of pretentiousness. They will lead you to something you like! The snacks and the table s'mores are so fun and tasty. Sometimes they have live music which is nice. I love coming here!

I came here on a first date at my date's recommendation. Honestly - it was SO lovely. The ambiance is laid back, calm, upscale but also homely and very comfortable seating. It's perfect for a first date, really. The wines were great, each of us got a flight (him of red ones, me of white ones) and we shared them so we each got to taste 6 wines. They also happened to have a taro card reader named Tara there doing readings (note: it was on a Tuesday); they said she is usually there on Tuesdays and does free readings (tips appreciated though, which we left her). Both my date and I had our cards read before we drank our wine... lo and behold my reading was along the lines of "you're moving into a New Romantic season/uncharted sea era of your life, and ending an old chapter." I was in fact just ending a situationship with someone else... and the guy I went on this date with I am totally enamored with. I often think about this place just because of the immaculate first day vibes and spontaneous, fun feel of that night. Would absolutely recommend the place to anyone - either just for drinks or for drinks and taro readings!

So I am not a wine guy. I'm not a "I wanna sit and sip with cheese"and that whole thing... But dang, this was pretty cool. The music in the background was very nice, chill relaxed vibe... The service was extraordinary.. Elisa was great.. took very good care of us but had to leave :( but then Gretchen came out ... She's the boss lady. Lol. Too awesome. We know nothing about wines other than Paul telling Timothy to drink wine for his stomach ailments. :) Our cheese plate was very good. The chocolate, gouda, brioche... Bruh, it was delicious, and we had dinner before coming here!!! Thank y'all for a great experience.

Cute little wine bar owned by local females in a small house looking building. They had indoor and outdoor seatings, but we sat outside since we had a dog with us. They had a large natural wine selections with food like charcuterie boards, pizza, tapas and desserts. We came here during happy hour and ordered a natural white wine. Overall, we had a good experience even though we were only there for an hour.

This is one of my favorite cozy wine spots for a girls' night or a date night! A never-ending collection of wine, knowledgeable sommeliers ready to recommend whatever you need + great service, and overall good vibes. Love the wines, love the cheeseboards, and will definitely be back. The wine flights are a new discovery for me that I have really enjoyed too!

It's impossible for me to visit Austin without stopping by this wonderful special wine bar. Simple great vibe. Mostly outdoors. Impressive wine list and staff. DeShawn helped me last night. He was perfect, friendly, knowledgeable, and help me. choose some unusual wines to taste. They commonly have nice live music outside. Overall, just a very pleasant comfortable experience.

One of the worst places I've been in Austin after 6 years of living here. It took 25 minutes for someone to come take our order. Once our waitress came to take our order, we were informed that the pizza we wanted to order was "premade" so we couldn't modify it. We ordered anyway hoping for the best. It took another 30 min for them to bring our appetizer of "marinated mozzarella" which ended up being the pre made balls of mozz from the grocery store with pre made dips AND it came without the chips or bread listed on the menu. Why did this take 30min to make? Great question. The pretzel bites then came out.... Clearly frozen. Then the pizza came. Y'all- this pizza was worse than Tostitos. Do not come here- so overpriced and waste of money.

Whoever named this place House Wine meant it literally! Entering this wine bar feels like coming over to a friend's house. The decor is colorful yet homey, and there are plenty of seating options with cushions for extra comfort. They serve a wide variety of food here, everything from charcuterie boards to pizza to empanadas. My friend and I came here for their daily happy hour (3-6 pm) for $2 off glasses/$6 off bottles, but we decided to each get a flight instead. I opted for the Aromatic White Flight ($20), which had three white wines from three different countries. The flight came in the cutest little glasses with labels underneath! None of the wines were overly sweet or overly dry, so it was a nice variety to sip on. Especially with the happy hour specials, I think this is a nice spot to get some wine and light bites with friends.

I stopped by with friends for a ladies night out (Thursday). This place has a cozy and fun ambiance. Once we were seated, service was subpar. After ordering two bottles and two charcuterie boards, our server was nowhere to be found nor did she check-in to ask if we needed anything else. When it came time to pay our bill, she had a hard time splitting the cost equally using her handheld kiosk. The first transactions were voided and the second transactions were slightly off but we sorted it out afterwards. This place has so much potential - it's important for servers to be attentive. Anyhow, I may give it another try. Overall nice place with cute decor and laidback vibes.

This was my first time visiting House Wine and I did enjoy it! Would've been 5 stars but the Mediterranean plate was just not worth the price tag -- although all the items were good quality and flavor, the quantity was lacking. I did really enjoy the wine flight, and each wine was labeled with its name and region of origin. The service was great and the ambiance was adorable. Only other complaint I have is the lack of parking -- there's only street parking but that is reasonable for the area. Overall, I would definitely visit again, probably during the week when they have better happy hour deals.

Came here last night where there was four of us but the waiter brought one menu, two water cups. Made zero eye contact when discussing the one menu brought. I ordered the wine, yet when it was brought out they asked someone else at the table to taste it. The person that sat us did not take our order. The one who took the order did not give us the check. The place was not busy.. May try again in the future and hope that this service was unintentional.

It has been quite a while since my last visit to House Wine, and I must say, the changes that have occurred left me quite disappointed. What used to be a cozy and inviting place, reminiscent of sitting at a friend's house and enjoying a glass of wine, has now transformed into something that feels thrown together with decor from discount stores; definitely a disappointing departure from the homey charm that existed previously. Upon entering House Wine, I couldn't help but notice the lack of originality in its decor. Gone are the unique touches and personal artifacts that once added character to the space. Instead, what I encountered were generic furnishings that looked like they were sourced from places like Five Below and Tuesday Morning. The absence of original artwork, big comfy couches and chairs, and "homey" spaces was particularly disheartening, as it added a certain charm to the ambiance in the past. The overall atmosphere at House Wine has lost its warmth and intimacy. It now feels more like a run-of-the-mill establishment, lacking the personal touch that made it stand out in the past. The essence of sitting at a friend's house and enjoying a glass of wine has been replaced by a generic and unoriginal setting that fails to create a memorable experience. While the wine selection at House Wine remains decent, it's hard to overlook the disappointment brought on by the changes in decor and ambiance. I used to love to take friends here and enjoy time together, but now I find it difficult to do so with the same enthusiasm. It seems that House Wine has lost its way, trading a comfy and welcoming space for a generic and uninspiring atmosphere.
