I have lived in this town for 40 years and have eaten at Anthony's since I was a child. It's one of my favorite restaurants of all time. It's family-owned and everyone is great and an awesome atmosphere. It is an old building but that's just because they've been around forever. Their food is amazing and their customer service is amazing.

Growing up in a Mexican family there comes a time when you miss that type of cooking only your mother or grandmother could possibly make. That good old fashioned flavor of a home cooked meal. When I first got to Anthony's, the exterior left much to be desired, the interior was a bit beat up. However, one thing I've learned in nearly 20 years of living in the Houston area is that good food can be found in all sorts of places. Anthony's Mexican restaurant is a familiar taste to all of those who appreciate and love homestyle Mexican cooking. My visit was fantastic. The food smelled amazing and tasted even better. My server Johnny was both knowledgeable and charming. I highly recommend the Al Pastor! Every time I pass by I make an effort to stop here and I recommend you do the same!
