“This used to be Guadalajara restaurant by the old laundry Matt. My favorite waitress in the world works there very long brown hair and it's usually braided. Food is amazing service is amazing... “They made last call at 1:45am I had quietly sat waiting for the bartender to respond to my simple repetitive message one more Dos Equis please. I waited patiently. They did not acknowledge my need as a server and I did receive multiple replies to delay the request. They try to make an insinuation that I have had enough, I leave guilt ridden every time and have usually had one drink before I’m harassed. I’m not someone that ever wants to victimize a senecio. I just wanna drink and be able losses up at a bar.”

“Probably the best subway within 30 minutes. The employees are always cheerful and joking around. They do a great job with making sandwiches and I've never left unhappy. The only downside is they are inside of a ghetto looking gas station. If they had better advertising and their own building I know for a fact this would be the most popular subway around. Give this subway a try!! Let's bring back good food by good people. They deserve their own building and better advertisement. 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!!!!”

“Growing up in a Mexican family there comes a time when you miss that type of cooking only your mother or grandmother could possibly make. That good old fashioned flavor of a home cooked meal. When I first got to Anthony's, the exterior left much to be desired, the interior was a bit beat up. However, one thing I've learned in nearly 20 years of living in the Houston area is that good food can be found in all sorts of places. Anthony's Mexican restaurant is a familiar taste to all of those who appreciate and love homestyle Mexican cooking. My visit was fantastic. The food smelled amazing and tasted even better. My server Johnny was both knowledgeable and charming. I highly recommend the Al Pastor! Every time I pass by I make an effort to stop here and I recommend you do the same!”

“The street tacos are amazing. This is my go to Mexican restaurant in the area. I haven’t tried all the lunch specials but I am working on that! Margaritas are very good not too sweet and just the right amount of line. Worth the drive. The patio seating is very nice except the street noise gets a little loud, but that doesn’t effect the great food or the great service. I love a restaurant that can out cook me! They do very well on the seasoning and combination of ingredients. Will definitely go again and again.”

“Skip Tookie’s and make the extra couple miles drive south on 146. The epitome of a classic hole in the wall burger joint. Don’t go for the atmosphere or the service, go for the tasty burgers and you won’t be disappointed.”

“The food was good (4 out of 5). The tortillas could have been better. The corn fajita tacos were small and were $2. Gorditas with fajita and cheese were $9. The Gorditas were a little greasy but overall good. I would go again for a quick bite. It looks like they have live music sometimes.”

“Great as always...but I have to specifically mention how awesome Nicolas was. Of course, every server we've had has been awesome, but Nicolas set himself on a higher level by his outgoing personality and professionalism. But it was athletic basketball abilities that really wowed the crowd. Yes, I said athletic abilities...So one of the many many kids that were "electronically entertained" (I'm not exaggerating...EVERY kid in that place had a phone or tablet captivating their robotic attention)...one of those kids wasn't paying attention and knocked over a syrup bottle. Nicolas caught that out of the corner of his eye, lept over to that table and snatched it just before hitting the ground and making a massive mess. He did this amazing rolling recovery off the floor, popped up and calmly placed it back on the table like nothing even happened!!!! Funny thing was, all of us that were there, saw it and were amazed..extept for one person...you guess who it was? Yep, the kid memorized by his electronic babysitter!! So sad. I digress. If you are looking for GREAT service, and possibly to see more of his athletic skills, ask for Nicolas...you won't be disappointed!!!”

“Our “Sunday Adventures” brought us to Athena’s Corner.We have been searching for authentic Mediterranean food since coming back from Israel that was a closer to home and without driving into Houston. Athena’s Corner is the best by far in this search.Edit2nd visit:We really liked our first selections from the 1st visit but wanted to try other selections from the menu.For appetizers, we tried the KeftedesMeatballs, Falafels & Dolmades Ladoregano.The meatballs were interesting but smaller portions than expected. The Falafels were small, slightly over cooked (maybe we are spoiled from our Israel trips) but had a good taste.For entrees we had Large Greek Salad with Gyro & Chick Pea Salad with Gyro.For dessert we had the Ravani which was amazing!First Visit:Everything from the appetizer to dessert was excellent.We ordered the Dolmades Ladoregano and Hummus for Appetizers.For main dishes, we ordered Chickpea Salad and the Gyro Plate.For dessert, we shared a Chocolate Mousse Cake.We will definitely be back soon!”

“I've been wanted to try this restaurant for quite a while and tonight we tried Fuji Ramen Bay Colony. It did not disappoint.E V E R Y T H I N G we ordered was amazing. Ivan, our server did a great job. He took my fish allergy seriously and did not scoff when I ordered sushi. I was able to enjoy the non fish sushi as well as the chicken karaage ramen. And to top it off, the check was only $105 for 3 adults including 4 appetizers, 3 entrees, and 3 alcoholic beverages. We will be back!”

“My wife and I dined here on a Thursday evening, and were sat somewhat awkwardly across from a group of three women dining together. We were the only people in the restaurant. The experience was --- interesting. As is common with tasting menu restaurants, there was a story to go with each dish presented. Also as common with this sort of thing, some dishes were better than others, and many were just okay. At $150 per person, it was on the expensive side, and I question whether it was worth that. Perhaps $100 would have been appropriate. A wine/cocktail option was offered for something like an additional $125, but everyone declined. We were filled to excess by the food, and found it difficult to imagine having space for drinks on top of that. An interesting experience, but we are unlikely to return at this price point. I think that I have decided that tasting menus just aren't my cup of tea, and I really prefer to go to a place where I can select exactly what I want.”
