“I've been here a couple of times now with my husband and family. We usually come here to just sit by the water, enjoy a few drinks and eat some fresh fried seafood. The fried seafood is really good. We usually order their coconut shrimp and baked potato and or fried okra. The service is nice, you can seat yourself most of the times. Don't forget to go upstairs and check out the bar and the beautiful view! If you're lucky, you'll catch some great locals showing off their talents on the mic! We LOVE this place! It's our little hide away so Shhhhhhhhh... LOL But bring your family and friends too! The place is huge! Plenty of seating for large groups! And cozy spots for two.“

“Amazing fried snapper w a potato batter. Sounds interesting, weird even. I know. AMAZING w the tartar sauce they offer. Fried oysters and fresh oysters were amazing. Also got the lunch special asian fried fish tacos w Asian pickled vegetables and ginger soy Glaze ontop. The sauce can be a little rich, sweet, overbearing. I added some coleslaw to it which cut that strong flavor back just right. Beers on draft. Good cocktails. Coconut banana soufflé was surprisingly very good. My son ordered it for his birthday. “This place is solid. It's a great place to work on your laptop or catch up with friends. I love that the music is truly background music and not too loud.The service is excellent! “Our “Sunday Adventures” brought us to Athena’s Corner.We have been searching for authentic Mediterranean food since coming back from Israel that was a closer to home and without driving into Houston. Athena’s Corner is the best by far in this search.Edit2nd visit:We really liked our first selections from the 1st visit but wanted to try other selections from the menu.For appetizers, we tried the KeftedesMeatballs, Falafels & Dolmades Ladoregano.The meatballs were interesting but smaller portions than expected. The Falafels were small, slightly over cooked (maybe we are spoiled from our Israel trips) but had a good taste.For entrees we had Large Greek Salad with Gyro & Chick Pea Salad with Gyro.For dessert we had the Ravani which was amazing!First Visit:Everything from the appetizer to dessert was excellent.We ordered the Dolmades Ladoregano and Hummus for Appetizers.For main dishes, we ordered Chickpea Salad and the Gyro Plate.For dessert, we shared a Chocolate Mousse Cake.We will definitely be back soon!“

“Do you plan on canning & selling the Katty Corner Cream Ale ever? I got some from your brewery yesterday but the brewery is over an hour from my house.A proper review: I first tried the vanilla cream ale at a bar in the Heights. At first taste, I was in love. Upon learning this fermented elixir was brewed in my own town, I made the pilgrimage. I have been a few times and each time the staff has been very nice. There is a good selection of beers for all types of beer enthusiasts“

“I love coming here! They have great food, pizzas are killer. The staff is wonderful and the inside is pretty cool. They have an outside seating area as well. We always come in a boat and tie up and then go get lunch, or on Sundays we go in and have brunch, which is my favorite. I would and have suggested this to many people. They also have a large beer selection.Parking: You can also dock your boat up for lunch or dinner.“

“Tonight was the first night I went to baked bear. The food was good no complaint. The customer service was exceptional. Darcy was at the register and Kimberly and Niven were the cookie builders and all were very nice and attentive. My only complaint is since this is a very small location I felt myself tripping over all the little kids that were running around the shop.“

“I was in the mood for something healthy and Nokturne popped up and WOW! So glad I found this place, and wish I found it way earlier! It's open late which is so awesome and needed. The inside is kind of like smoothie place meets cafe vibe. I got the garlic mushrooms and oh my goodness. I couldn't believe how flavorful they were. They had this lovely addicting crunch in the center. Extremely filling. They also provided complimentary popcorn. To drink I got the amber aid. “We are out doing some craft brewery tastings and stopped in at Backyard Brewery, nice small place with a what looks like a good regular crowd. We had the West Coast IPA, one of the best I've had in a while! Rich in color and lots of flavor. Service was great, we got a chance to taste (sample) a few before selecting the West Coast. Love supporting small businesses and this is one worth a stop.“

“My family had a really wonderful experience tonight. Our waitress, Demi, was attentive, thoughtful, and accommodating. The portions were large, reasonably priced, and absolutely delicious. From the surprisingly large kids chicken nuggets (think - mini chicken strips) and whole delicious green beans (nothing from a can, here) My shrimp Alfredo with seasonal vegetables was more than perfect. My husband (not a fish lover) really enjoyed his pecan encrusted red snapper. “Super cool place we accidentally found while looking for something else. We’ve been back several times since then. Definitely worth a visit if like wine. Great selection and helpful staff. Atmosphere is relaxing with great views outside and creative decor inside. Prices are extremely fair and you get a really good deal if you purchase wine to go. “What a nice place in a very unassuming shopping center. I stopped in on a Saturday to check it out and was delighted to find that they have beers on tap in addition to those in the coolers. They offer sample sizes so you're able to get a taste before committing to something you may not like. The DigitalPour app lets you peruse the selections available which is pretty cool. I suggest having one or two at the bar and taking some home to try later. Lots of interesting choices and a variety of styles of beer to choose from. Service was friendly and welcoming and the environment was very relaxed and casual. Also worth noting that the restroom was very clean. “We found this place on a whim! Our kids wanted ice cream and the door was locked with the open sign. The chef at the bar let us through to the back. It’s such a great place to kick back, have a few appetizers or drinks, play games as a family and watch a game on the big screen. Our kids really enjoyed being able to participate in playing games. The fries and onion rings were tasty! It wasn’t packed when we arrived mid day on the weekend but I could see it being crowded at night and having trouble parking. Definitely recommend!“

“We always loved the service Drew gave us at our local Chili's and when he told us that he started working part-time at The Monkey Bar we thought that we would give it a try. We really didn't know what kind of place it was, Monkey Bar says Bar, but we wanted to try something different. We were actually surprised when we walked into this quaint little hangout with lots of friendly locals who were more than happy to welcome us. The staff, even the owner, were attentive to every customers needs. At first we were concerned about the cigarette smoke, but it didn't take long to notice that they have an excellent circulation system that keeps the air clean so I didn't even notice! You can order a variety of appetizers and other dishes for lunch and dinner but decided on some pretty good boudin egg rolls and some cold beers while we shot a few games of pool. We enjoyed our first visit and plan on going back to try something from the lunch or dinner selection soon.“
