T-Bone Tom's Reviews
Just left one of my favorite places to eat. Very disappointed with the service. I have been eating here for years and ive never gotten such lousy service. Everyone around the room was waited on before us,and we finally asked the cash register lady to take our order. Then had to beg for any "waiter service " . Other tables received great service. Spent the last three days from Galveston to Kemah and this was the only bad experience of them all. Do better.
My husband is working here in Texas and we came by 2/17/26 for supper and it was amazing.
The steak was great, the brisket was way better than our bbq place back home and the ribs were great. The BBQ sauce was to die for. I had ordered the sausage but then was told it was sold out which was okay because we came around 9pm. We tried all the things that diners drive in and dives tried. Hubby and I sat on the patio and were greeted by Aspen — hands down one of the friendliest, most energetic servers I’ve ever had. She was fun, engaging, and didn’t miss a beat.
My chicken fried steak was HUGE (we’re talking four days of leftovers), the spinach was fresh and flavorful, and the coconut margarita with coconut shavings on the rim was perfection.
10/10 — ask for Aspen when you go! 💛

T-Bone Tom's is a restaurant known for its home-cooked meals and friendly service. Popular dishes include the Saturday pork special, featuring sausage, pulled pork, ribs, and two sides, as well as the chicken fried steak. Generous portions and reasonable prices are offered. The restaurant is especially appreciated by visitors for its cozy atmosphere. Guests often enjoy live music, with bands playing dance music and covers, creating a lively but sometimes loud environment. The outdoor covered seating area is popular, though it can be warm on hot days, especially with fans running. The food is delicious and served in large portions, including marbled brisket and sausage with smoky barbecue sauce, and filling onion rings. Excellent service is frequently praised, with attentive staff who go out of their way to make guests comfortable. Don’t forget to try their sweet tea and fried mushrooms, which are favorites among diners. The place is also known for its large cheese sticks and armadillo eggs, making it a great spot for a hearty meal. Some food items can be hit or miss; while brisket and chicken fried steak are good, sides like green beans and mac and cheese tend to be mushy and lack flavor. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor dining, with live band performances six nights a week outdoors. Overall, T-Bone Tom's provides good food, lively music, and friendly service in a cozy setting, making it a recommended place to visit in the area.
