“Arguably the best food experience in the greater Houston area. Exciting and delicious! An open mind is all you need! What an amazing evening! Chef and the staff are incredible! Do yourself a favor folks. And it’s even better with friends!”
“I wasn’t blown away by anything in particular but it was really good and we will definitely go back. Nice place to sit and enjoy the weather with a burger and beer.”
“I had long assumed this restaurant was overly formal, but I couldn't have been more mistaken. It's actually a relaxed and cozy spot with reasonably priced dishes, especially given the quality and portions. The service was outstanding; our waitress was extremely attentive. The food was delicious, and I'm glad I finally visited. The next time I'm in Kemah, I'll definitely stop by again—I have my eye on the T-bone Steak for my next meal!”
“I really enjoy going to a Mexican restaurant that has more options than the usual stuff. If you are ever in Kemah or in that area, I would highly recommend the spot.Last year, when I went on a cruise, I stayed at the hotel next door and tried this restaurant because they had vegetarian options and I happen to be a vegetarian.I was not disappointed in the least and that's why I made sure to stay at the same hotel this year so I could walk over in the morning and get some tacos before going on the cruise. Not a very big place but the food is awesome.”
“I love this place!!!! service was wonderful marina treated my family so well that I could tell they felt very welcomed. Nothing but blessings for them thank you guys for a wonderful experience:)”
“Fresh sushi, nice cuts, great presentation, super friendly and helpful staff. We'll definitely be back!Vegetarian options: My vegetarian Girlfriend found lots of delicious options on the menu.”
“Shelby makes a mean lemon drop shot. This bartender has RUINED me! Can’t order and enjoy them anywhere else! They are NEVER the same. She is the BEES KNEES! Bubble Jungle is my favorite nook to wind down and relax. Good drinks, good energy, GREAT space. Love the swings and hammocks.”
“Great first time experience. Taco food truck. Food was delicious! The beans were delicious. I had the tostados with fajita beef and chicken: portions were great , flavors were on point, definitely hit the spot! My husband got the beef fajita tacos and he said they were fantastic. We also got the birria tacos, which were awesome. Salsa is spicy- which I appreciate. Everything was awesome. The gentleman that served us did fantastic at making sure everything came out hot and perfect timing- considering we came at dinner rush- he was the only one working and handled everyone’s order great. Only recommendation is to cut the salt down 1/4- my plate was a bit salty. Definitely will be our neighborhood taco stop from now on.”
“Excellent food. Quaint restaurant located in Clear Lake Shores serving breakfast and lunch items. Wide variety of choices. Friendly staff and ownership. I highly recommend this restaurant.”
“Their seafood is really good. Their crawfish are the best I’ve had this season. Very spicy and decent size at a great price. Service seems to be slower right now - maybe it’s due to having new staff.”
“We’ve been here twice in the last week and it’s our first time! I originally went in thinking about how I wanted pizza and had the best ham and cheese sandwich! My husband got the chicken bacon ranch sandwich AMAZING! And Grace was great and is so sweet ❤️”
“I think this is the best place in the Kemah area for mixing music. If you come before 10 PM, it'll be a chill bar or social nights where you can sip and chat with soft music playing, making Saturday nights far from boring. But after 10 PM, when the DJ starts playing and mixing, the place instantly becomes more vibrant. I like it - the dim atmosphere allows for uninhibited dancing. The music, which excites and entertains, ensures we're never bored on a Saturday night. The place has both old and new songs mixed together, so both young adults and the middle-aged can enjoy their time here without getting bored.P.S. This place doesn't have a drink menu, which is odd, but if you're into drinking, just tell them. They can make you anything.”
“Love Jackie's!My Girlfriend introduced me to Jackie's 2 years ago, and I look forward to visiting here when we come back down to visit her Kingdom from Dallas.I love the Crawfish, and highly recommend it!Fun atmosphere and great place to visit with friends and family.Updated review to reflect most recent visit April 2024.”
“My Husband and I had Our 23rd Anniversary Dinner this evening and Our Experience was Absolutely Amazing!!!! From the time we Entered the Restaurant til the Friendly Anniversary Well Wishes. Our Waiter was David. He was Very Kind, Professional, Attentive, Concerned, Friendly and Thoughtful! We Never had to ask for anything because he was consistently checking in on Us to see if we Wanted or Needed Anything. Here is where He Went Above and Beyond for Me as a Customer. We asked for To-go Containers (4). When he came to bring them, he had his serving try, the containers and bags. He offered to put Our Food in the containers! I was So Impressed with that because out of my almost 57yrs of eating out, No One has EVER done that! I asked him if he could get a Manager for me, he simply said "Yes Ma'am". Now I'm more than sure he thought something was wrong....but it wasn't. The Manager, John came to our table asking was everything ok. I said to him, "Everything was Perfect. David was Absolutely Remarkable in serving us this evening"! May I also acknowledge two other employees of the restaurant. Unfortunately, I didn't get their names, but it's really the little things that I pay attention to when I'm out for a meal! We were sitting there and the young lady (waitress) passed by us, back stepped and asked if someone had served us yet (David had already taken care of our drink order and appetizer). The fact that she just acknowledged us just sitting there, not knowing, but yet concerned if someone had served us.... Pretty Amazing Young Lady (that really Mattered). The next person I would like to acknowledge is a young man (a different waiter, not assigned to us), passed by and saw My Husband Struggling to get a picture of us. He stopped and offered to take the picture for us! How Thoughtful and Considerate is that!!! Friendliness and Kindness goes a long way to me these days. We live in a very busy world and I've never worked in the environment of being a Host or Hostess (I don't think I have the Personality for it). However, I do Respect the Hustle of it All and I Pay Attention to those who Pay Attention to Me! Dinner at Saltgrass this evening Was The Best Experience I've Ever Had in a Restaurant....EVER! John, your staff that we encountered this evening, Deserve a Standing Ovation (a Raise, a Day Off, a Longer Break, a Gift Card .. something to let them know that Today (on My Anniversary) They Are Appreciated.....And the Food was Great Too (Fried and Grilled Shrimp, Fried Mushrooms, Broccoli with Cheese, Salad and My Husband ordered an Alcoholic Beverage)! Thanks Again David, You Are an Awesome Young Man and We Really Appreciated Your Service This Evening!?”
“My wife and I dined here on a Thursday evening, and were sat somewhat awkwardly across from a group of three women dining together. We were the only people in the restaurant. The experience was --- interesting. As is common with tasting menu restaurants, there was a story to go with each dish presented. Also as common with this sort of thing, some dishes were better than others, and many were just okay. At $150 per person, it was on the expensive side, and I question whether it was worth that. Perhaps $100 would have been appropriate. A wine/cocktail option was offered for something like an additional $125, but everyone declined. We were filled to excess by the food, and found it difficult to imagine having space for drinks on top of that. An interesting experience, but we are unlikely to return at this price point. I think that I have decided that tasting menus just aren't my cup of tea, and I really prefer to go to a place where I can select exactly what I want.”
