“My wife and I dined here on a Thursday evening, and were sat somewhat awkwardly across from a group of three women dining together. We were the only people in the restaurant. The experience was --- interesting. As is common with tasting menu restaurants, there was a story to go with each dish presented. Also as common with this sort of thing, some dishes were better than others, and many were just okay. At $150 per person, it was on the expensive side, and I question whether it was worth that. Perhaps $100 would have been appropriate. A wine/cocktail option was offered for something like an additional $125, but everyone declined. We were filled to excess by the food, and found it difficult to imagine having space for drinks on top of that. An interesting experience, but we are unlikely to return at this price point. I think that I have decided that tasting menus just aren't my cup of tea, and I really prefer to go to a place where I can select exactly what I want.”

She was attentive, kind, and treated my mom like she was her mom. When my mom wasn't a fan of the spicy chili, she went back to the kitchen and got the not so spicy one and then made sure it was ok when she brought it back for my mom. The food was SO GOOD! “Boy, where do we begin? With the Armadillo Eggs? The Steak skewers? The atmosphere? All of the above. First off, ask for Gary, he is by far, one of the nicest people you will ever meet. The food selection, ask Gary. His knowledge and passion for this place is perfect.Now, onto the food. Start with the Armadillo Eggs. Absolutely won't disappoint. On a spicy scale, 10 being hot, these fall into a 5 or 6. Not too bad. Flavor? Unbelievable. With or without ranch, or even BBQ sauce, these are hands down one of the most unique food pieces we have ever tried. The next was the Tom's Campfire Skewers. They bring a mini hibachi grill, lit table side, and you finish grilling 3 pieces of hand cut, marinated steak that has been flashed to rare, and you can cook it how much more you want (our experience, about 1 more minute each side to almost medium, just north of medium rare). Steak, 9.5 out of 10.The next, we decided to do the 3 meat platter, with a signature potato salad and fried okra for sides. We selected the brisket, turkey and ribs. All, very good. A 8 out of 10 on all 3. Very tender, flavor filled, and moist.Potato salad, and this is hard, was 9.5 out of 10. Everyone's preference will differ, but this is a southern style, with onions and celery, perfect texture l, slightly sweet. Just right.The BBQ sauce? Slap your mamma good. Wish they sold it in a bottle, but they will container it for you to take home for a small fee.Check out all of the artwork, and Guy Fieri's Season 8 episode 2 of this place.Must must try. “I really enjoy going to a Mexican restaurant that has more options than the usual stuff.If you are ever in Kemah or in that area, I would highly recommend the spot.Last year, when I went on a cruise, I stayed at the hotel next door and tried this restaurant because they had vegetarian options and I happen to be a vegetarian.I was not disappointed in the least and that's why I made sure to stay at the same hotel this year so I could walk over in the morning and get some tacos before going on the cruise.Not a very big place but the food is awesome.”

“We heard about this place after buying coffee from them during a farmer’s market. All seating is outside, which makes for a beautiful time outdoors. I highly recommend the smothered tots with crawfish and shrimp etouffee. Their Cafe Sua Da was so silky and delicious.”

“Went here back it was 6 wards. The lady behind the bar, Katie, was absolutely incredible. Super friendly and welcoming. The have a good Red ale and some good IPAs. There's lots of shirts and glasses to choose from. I'd recommend just about anything on their menu as well. Again can't say enough good things about Katie. Would definitely recommend swinging amd will return.”

“Tried them out today and let me tell you something, I will be a lifelong customer. My wife and I sat outside in perfect weather and had the chicken and waffles. There was a little wait but it was very well worth it! The wings were really, really good. Seasoned very well, and the perfect crispiness. The waffles were good, but the sauce is the magic! And you CANNOT LEAVE THE RESTAURANT WITHOUT TRYING THE FRIED BISCUITS! They come with some of that magic sauce too. You WILL NOT regret trying them - or you may. Because you will want more. “Our server was very good and knowledgeable. Did his job well. I had the Scallops and Shrimp Au Poivre, and it was so good!! The only thing is upstairs the views are obstructed by trees. I will ask for downstairs dining next time. They do have outdoor seating, but it was a bit Chilli. All in all, it was a very nice evening!”
