Hands down the best food in the area. Everything has so much flavor and is so fresh. The gumbo is smoky and real. This place is where I’ll choose every single time when someone says “where do you want to eat?”

Viola & Agnes' is a beloved local restaurant that offers a cozy, homely atmosphere and delectable Southern Cajun dishes. The menu features generous portions of flavorful items, including a standout shrimp and grits dish and a well-balanced spicy chicken sandwich. Customers praise the restaurant's slow, relaxed dining experience and the overall quality of the food, with many highlighting the large portions and friendly, helpful staff. The food is made from scratch, which may require some patience, but is considered 100% worth it. Guests enjoy a variety of dishes like chicken and waffles, fried catfish with collard greens, black beans & rice, and pretzel, all praised for their incredible taste and great service.
