“This was my first visit to Josephine's. I stumbled upon it while driving home and noticed a sign for the restaurant. After a quick Google search, I discovered they specialized in seafood, my favorite cuisine, so I decided to give them a try. Two days later, I made a reservation. Upon arrival, the hostess warmly greeted me, and I requested to sit at the bar. However, I wasn't acknowledged for another 10 minutes until I made eye contact with one of the bartenders named Cam. He promptly provided me with a drink and dinner menu. I also interacted with Franklin, who seemed quite introverted and not the best fit for the bar atmosphere. Despite that, Cam was very personable, funny, and had a down-to-earth personality, making my experience enjoyable. The oysters were phenomenal, and I look forward to returning to try other items on the menu. Overall, I had a great time, and the "Drink, Right Time Wrong Place" was amazing.“

“Had an impromptu dinner for 2 at Gatlins' on a Friday night. I was glad I came! From the biscuits with the most delicious bacon jam I've ever had to some great fried chicken and fried shrimp! Flavor was everywhere! The only thing that needed some help was the fried catfish- still good, but I think the fried chicken and bacon jam were the stars of the show. Prices and portions were very reasonable. Service was just a bit on the slow side, but didn't change a vibe. I would be back and will recommend this place to others for sure.“

This location in Vintage Park has friendly staff, squeaky clean facilities, and impeccable and consistent food quality. They recently did updates to their app, so reward credit is now earned based on the card you use. Whether you order dine in or takeout, you'll still earn credit! This is a game changer for regulars like myself! I also look forward to the new exclusive sandwiches every month. The Texas OG has been my absolute favorite so far and needs to become a part of their regular menu!! “We were at the Japanese Gardens in Herman Park area of Houston enjoying the weather and scenery. I decided to look for food and remembered that Gus's opened in Houston awhile ago and haven't tried it since they came to Texas. We love the Memphis Gus's so we loaded up the car and went to the Kirby location. This location is a stand alone Resturant in a large shopping center with a lot of parking, which was fantastic. Large Resturant with plenty of seating. Our server was Stephanie and she was amazing from the time we came in the door. She noticed we were a family of five and noted there was a big table and pointed it out. You come in a sit where you like then the server comes over. She ordered our drinks and appetizer. We ordered the fried green tomatoes which were prepared wonderfully. The tea is fresh and delicious. We ordered our meals and they were hot and fresh. Great tasting. Everyone was kind and friendly. “Everything was excellent! We had 4 types of oysters from their "Gulf Gems". Really great choices, all with different, distinct tastes.The pickle juice mignonette was a new thing for me. “When I’m in houston i’m always bigging my back. I made the drive to this food truck and it exceeded my expectations. Food was made to order but I called ahead for a headstart. And yesterday, my mom and I dropped in on our way home from the airport. Janet greeted and seated us. She brings so much good energy to the front door. When we got there I was so excited because we just went to a previous vegan restaurant and they didn’t have what we wanted and I have been craving jackfruit so we went in there and thanks to Irene and Tony it was one of the most pleasant and great experiences ever as a restaurant whether vegan or meat. The food in there was so awesome that I can tell you now if there was a competition and they just put sample A and B you would not know the difference for people who really know about flavor that’s very important if you from the south well let me just tell you it’s not sodium flavored it is flavor flavor and it was awesome and then he brought out samples like grits you think such and such has great grits why don’t you just go try their grits. And the most important thing is that Tony is an artist and he’s passionate about his craft and according to him he can make anything vegan so if you’re going to say you want a brisket let Tony show you he will convert that to a vegan brisket and it’s going to taste even better and he’s just up-and-coming so I recommend everybody who wants flavoring even if you just try or sample vegan for the first time I promise you you’ll be hooked and you’ll be back like we will greatest. I got the two meat brisket and rib plate, which also comes with Vimeo and fries. While the brisket and ribs were not the best I've ever had, it's definitely in the top 5 I've had of all time. But, a simple 8oz filet was $83 vs, a standard $50 at Flemmings or Ruth's Chris. Therefore I decided to share the 22 oz Waugh ribeye with my kids. It was the only economical choice. It was not enough food. On the plus side. The waiter was excellent!“
