“The place is beautiful. I appreciate that they enforce the dress code, which is what I like to see in a restaurant like this. Every staff member was so nice. Our particular servers in the smaller dining area, were great. Very knowledgeable about the menu and offerings. The bartenders deserve recognition as well for the fast and friendly service. I regret that i haven’t tried this restaurant before but i will definitely be back.“

“Im posting this review before I take the first bite of my food. Some may wonder how is it a truthful review if I haven't tasted my food yet? Ill tell you,while I was waiting for my food I was greeted by almost everyone there, im introverted but they made me feel welcomed. While I waited a very beautiful soul and friendly face served me a sample of different items. THEY ALL WERE GREAT!!! I had to order a side of the broccoli, cheese, and cornbread but OMG I sampled the best grits ive ever tasted. I cant wait for this potato I ordered. I just know everything in this place is a 10/10“

“Na, the server was authentic, kind, knowledgeable, and funny. She ensured that we enjoyed the entire experience. Hull & Oak’s food was delicious and the environment was beautiful. The shrimp and grits were absolutely scrumptious as well as the potatoes. We loved Na and the experience as four friends coming from different parts of the country- plan to return on our next Houston visit!“

“Worth the wait! We arrived about 15 minutes before opening and joined the line. The line was almost an hour to get inside, but once we did, we were greeted by friendly staff and a handwritten daily menu. The staff offered samples and cuts of fresh brisket as we moved through to order. We tried a little bit of everything, and it was outstanding. My wife loved the sides (served family-style for sharing), and I loved the ribs and brisket. This is a must-do if you love barbecue and are in Houston!“

“Excellent service, a real presentation of the food, all courses. I did restaurant week, but most at my table ordered off regular menu. The desserts were not as good as they sounded, but the entrees were great. A little heavy on the salt, but otherwise good. My family lived the Paella, and the beef medallions were rich and the appetizers of fried asparagus and a mix were good, but my favorite was the shrimp cocktail. Would get that again. We were in a private room for 8, and we had an excellent time. Valet is necessary, but I felt good about parking.“

“In town for business and stopped by for Sunday brunch solo. The live music was amazing, great atmosphere and the food was good. My waiter was busy behind the bar so not as attentive but since I was chilling it didn't matter much. The host at the door has excellent customer service so I will definitely return!“

“We were in town for a show and everything was fantastic. The staff was kind and accommodating, the beer was ice cold, and the food was delicious. Victoria was our server and she took great care of us. Our group had Taquitos, the carne discada, a BLT salad, carne asada, creamed corn, mac and cheese, red beans and rice, and a few desserts — everything was delicious but I’ll say, my favorite part was the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. What a delightful treat!“

“The oxtails with rice was delicious. You can’t go wrong with any of the sides. We had yams, cabbage, green beans and Mac & cheese. Everything had that homemade taste and the portions were large. As soon as you walk in you are greeted and welcomed in as if you’re family. Would recommend to anyone looking for authentic southern food. 10/10.“

“The service was great spot on, the atmosphere was great as well just needed to have bigger tables for downstairs, the food came out in a timely manner, but I ordered the lobster 🦞 and shrimp so being a chef myself i smell everything that comes out of the kitchen they should have caught the bad smell coming from the plate, someone should have spoken to me or us about it. But there ribs were on point.
We will be back for Thursday night steak night.“

“This restaurant needs to be in your rotation. Love the frozen lemon drop and deviled eggs. Chicken bites had the perfect Seasoning and crunch and whatever that sauce is OMG! The southwest egg rolls are to die for. Cedric and JD are a great pair. Service was top notch, decor was clean and welcoming. Fair prices on everything especially during happy hour. Can't wait to go back with friends.“

“We flew from Pensacola FL and had to visit. When I saw EVERYTHING was on point and delicious. Staff was so friendly, food was hot & fresh and I have NEVER had better tasting food from a restaurant. I normally can’t say everything was good when I visit a new place. We can on Saturday and again this morning before our flight. See y’all soon ??❤️“
