Brisket, tastes amazing. For sides we got mustard potato salad, VERY good and I’m picky with my potato salad. Mac and cheese, reminds me of the Velveeta cheese shells, good creamy cheese sauce. And the charro beans, good smoky flavor with a nice spicy kick at the end. Love this place! And their bbq sauce is really good with a little spice to it, not real spicy.”

Our waiter Khatija was awesome, the staff also worked as a team in bringing and cleaning up our food. The food was fresh and awesome. Great atmosphere with really nice people. We've grown tired of the noise at Pappadeaux's and for the price the wife and I thought it's time to start looking around for something else. My wife and I aren't big eaters, so we usually like to sit at the bar and just chill. Anyway, being that this was our first time here we decided to go for Happy hour and just check the place out. The redfish dip and roasted oysters were on point, but the recommended dish of snapper collars was not worth it at $35. The dish was straight up "collars" with no side dish. If we lived close by we'd definitely be back but who knows. We did like that the place was chill and not loud. Our bill, although not outrageous, was a bit pricey for being Happy Hour ($115 before tip.) There weren't that many food options offered as part of Happy Hour that we were interested in so our food choices were reflected in the bill. I don't know if our experience should really be considered Happy Hour price specific. Give it a try though.”

He clearly took the time (most restaurants won't (or can't afford) to give it the love it needs, all of the seafood ingredients were absolutely on point! Enjoyed it thoroughly! “This was my first time trying the food, and I must say it was excellent. The wings were perfectly seasoned all the way through, and I appreciated that they were whole wings, not just wingettes. The Kool-Aid was tasty, and the gyro sandwich was also well-seasoned. The wait time is a bit longer than usual, but since everything is cooked fresh, I didn’t mind. The location is in a somewhat sketchy strip mall, but just park, head inside, place your order, and leave—it's not an issue. While I wasn’t a fan of the fries, the main dishes were great. Bottom line: I’ll definitely be back.”

“Best sushi (omakase) I’ve had in Houston! While I haven’t been everywhere, I’ve been to a lot of places like Uchi and Kata Robata, and TINS beats them out.

This is a small, no frills omakase hidden gem. It’s run by two friends (Chef Sky and Matt) and they buy there sushi per reservation so it’s fresh!

Location-wise, it’s in a two store shopping center on Durham and I-10. Nothing special. When you walk in, it first looks like a 10-top cocktail bar with a lounge area in the back. The lighting is low and the decor is simple. Again, no frills, but the magic is the food and drink.

For the food, Everything Sky served was a hit. We had toro, amberjack, salmon, uni, eel, yellow tail, oyster, and flounder. Probably more, but it all seemed to run together with the conversation and drinks. Some pieces were simple and some more extravagant. Nothing, however, felt over complicated or gimmicky. One piece was a flame roasted king salmon that I swear melted in my mouth. Another piece was a light and fresh amber jack with lemon zest and truffle. Again, the highlight was how the sushi was the focus with how fresh it tasted. Sky didn’t try to mask the sushi with other ingredients.

Also, as a side note, Sky and Matt told us they host private parties with advance reservations and have karaoke available.

2. Caramel Dulce - I love caramel and this was by far the best caramel icecream with chocolate chunks. Base flavour is Dulce with caramel filled chocolate chunks in it. However, it was very sweet. I had a single scoop and it was more than enough for me ( for a person who has a sweet tooth).

“We arrived with no reservation as a party of 9 on a Saturday so we expected a long wait. We were told at least an hour. No problem. 25 minutes later a hostess offered us 2 adjoining tables. Perfect! The moment we sat down upstairs our waitress took drink orders and I swear they magically appeared less than ten minutes later and were as beautiful as they were potent! We ordered appetizers that were as filling as entrees! Our food came out fresh and piping hot! The mac and cheese was chef's kiss! We were so full that we didn't even eat DINNER later that night! “Rarely can I say that everything about a restaurant is a hit, but that's the case for Milton's. An old school Italian concept meets an upscale vibe and elevated dining. The decor reflects all of that, and the server (Ryan) is impeccable...from beginning to end.

A complimentary bread box arrived with some scrumptious dinner rolls and olive oil for dipping. We started with a parsley salad, which burst with a full spectrum of flavors. Our server then bought us pickled onion rings with creme fraiche (and caviar), which was delicious. My friend ordered the lobster ravioli with a shellfish broth, and I opted for the bucatini. We enjoyed the dishes thoroughly, and we finished it off with a scoop of blood orange sorbet.

1) exceptional customer service from the entire team. Whatever Loro is doing for employee training is paying off dividends and I hope others are noticing too!
