“We had the best experience at Flower Child Houston Heights! ?The food was delicious and organic, came super fast, and was organic. The waitress and manager Cat was super friendly, welcoming and knowledge about the food and where it all comes from. Thank you Cat! ☺️✨100% recommended.Would give 6 stars if I could “
“The food here is usually very good, and we do take out a lot. I love the banh mi and the chargrilled pork with vermicelli. The soup is inconsistent. Sometimes there is more liquid than stock in the soup and it’s not very hearty. But when it’s good, it’s really good.“
“Food was absolutely fantastic. Showed up for the spinach artichoke dip, and it was absolutely the star of the show. Vegan breakfast wrap was great and my partner had the crispy chicken sandwich which he said was phenomenal. Restaurant was a little loud, but nothing you wouldn't expect. Overall great experience, we will absolutely be back next time we're in the area!Vegetarian options: Lots of vegan options that work for the vegans and vegetarians out there! All cooked wonderfully“
“First time trying this place and it was so dang good!!!! Everyone was so kind and welcoming. I loved that they let you sub tofu instead of meat and the sandwiches were so full of flavor. I got the Tejano Caesar Zepellin and my husband got the Atlantis and damn!!!! Full of flavor. I wish you guys had a store in Conroe or Magnolia. Please expand!!!Vegetarian options: You can sub tofu instead of doing meat!“
“We have ordered food every week for the past almost year. Everything we have ordered has been exceptional! We have used the catering for a 4th of July party that also had meat barbecue. There were 4 guests who were vegan, all the rest were meat eaters We had nothing left of Jana’s vegan food - the meat eaters also ate the vegan food. I am so glad they liked it but we had so much meat left over I told my husband that we need to remember that for the future- we will always ask Jana to cater our parties ( in addition to ordering weekly-we are dependent on that) but maybe leave the meat off since they wanted her food as opposed to the meat. I am so grateful she caters for holidays because it makes it very easy. Thank you Jana for being here! I don’t know what we would do without you!“
“I work at Holden heights and needed a place to get tacos for a resident event. I have to say i was so impressed with the management team at velvet taco for hooking us up with a great deal for a big order. And the out residents and staff love the way the tacos were displayed in the boxes in the attached photo. Thank you so much velvet taco heights team the food was on point and presentation. Can’t wait to work with yall again.“
“Etsub had been so nice and friendly with us. Service is top notch. Honestly, I've never been disappointed at an Ethiopian restaurant in my life and I've tried so many in California. I don't know what it is but I do like the spices they put in their food. Food, ambience and service are excellent! Thanks, Etsub!!! You're awesome!“
“It’s one of my favorite places to eat in Houston !! The matcha actually taste like matcha and it’s so yummy, I’m obsess with their delicious pastry’s ! The place is really cute and the food is so good ! The one bad thing, I frequently go and love to take pictures and posted them on social media, but their is a girl that works their I don’t know her name buts she is always so rude and bitter makes me uncomfortable whenever I see her working their, I always try to be nice and polite but she gives such a a negative attitude. Last time I went she ask me why I was taking pictures and look at me in a really ugly way I was just taking pictures of the food and the place. Anyways all the other staff is a always really nice and polite. Don’t know her name just she was short black hair. Hope her attitude changes one day ❣️“
“When I travel I am always on the lookout for new vegetarian places to try. Just Juice is truly a hidden gem and diamond in the rough near the airport. Stopped in for lunch and was greeted with smiles by Chris and Truong. I ordered a bowl of vegan creole soup with rice, a black bean sandwich and green smoothie. Best meal of my trip. Well seasoned, tasty, and filling. Don't let the clutter fool you, the food is excellent.“
“One of the best Indian Restaurants that I ve ever been to. Everything is positive about this restaurant, it's attached to the ISCKON temple @ Houston. The ambience, the service and food options are superb! Haven for vegetarians. Special mention to Saag Paneer and Mango Pudding. Those were out of the world. Will visit whenever I come to Houston. ? ❣️Dietary restrictions: They have a variety of salad options right from Green veggies to sprouted lentils.“
“Hello everyone, To start, I can go on and on about how great this restaurant is. The sandwiches are always made so fresh and the owners are heaven sent. I have NEVER had a bad experience here. The service is amazing and after trying this place you will never settle for any other sandwich place in your life. Cheesy parmesan bread is my favorite, all veggies are beautifully cut and are nearly placed. The options for drinks is extended and all of the protein is FRESH . GO HERE ASAP!!! Photos coming soon“
“So good! I love that they have plant based options! Very smart and thoughtful for people that don’t eat meat. The plant based options are also very flavorful! I love the Torta and the quesadillas! I also tried a sample of the hibiscus drink and thought it was very good. This place is worth checking out!“
“My mom wanted a vegetarian meal for lunch and I remembered about this place when I was in the area, so we decided to try it out. I really enjoyed the decorations and atmosphere of the restaurant. The food was delicious and flavorful. We ordered 3 different dishes and my mother really enjoyed her dish. We will come back in the future.“
“I recently tried the Bahn mi sandwich with grilled pork at Roostar, and it was fantastic for just $7! I chose to sit outside and was pleasantly surprised by their lovely small garden area. The prices are reasonable, and the food tastes really good. The staff is incredibly friendly, which adds to the overall positive experience. With inflation hitting hard, finding affordable and delicious meals like this is a win-win. I’ll definitely be coming back more often and highly recommend Roostar to others!“
“This was our first Indian food truck experience and it was spectacular. Firstly, the uncle and aunty were very welcoming and kind. We ordered Paneer paratha, malai kofta, chole batura and samosa chaat. The food was very flavorful and heartwarming. We also tasted their creamy mango lassi and delicious halwa. We were visiting Houston and will plan to come back here soon.“
“My first time visiting. I was interested in the Good Greek dish, I but asked for a recommendation just in case. They suggested the Good Greek since I was new, so that's what I got. It was delicious and very filling. I requested extra chicken, which brought the price up a bit, but it was worth it.I'm looking forward to trying this place again!“
“Great neighborhood restaurant! Lot's of different options in the menu and drinks. You can book a table if you want but we went on a Sunday night and there were plenty of free tables. The service was kinda challenging, not sure if this happened because we were outside and there were not so many customers at the time. The food is mainly responsibly grown and organic, so prices are a bit higher and portions are enough. Try the flourless chocolate cake!“
“This place is open very late, and I love that they have so many healthy items on their menu. Where else can you go to get a midnight salad or midnight beet juice? They have warm comforting foods too, like curry and hot chocolate. Like the late night dimmed mood lighting and their servers are also so friendly and nice every time we stop by! I really love their salads, their fresh juices, and the nopalilla, I've yet to have something I didn't like here :)Vegetarian options: Many of their menu items are vegetarian, and they have good vegan options too! All of their dishes are very well labeled, and they have the option of making certain dishes vegetarian/vegan/ gluten free if they aren't already. So there are lots of goodies for the conscientious eaters of the world, enjoy!“
“Quan Yin Vegan Restaurant is a gem! Not only are their prices reasonable, but the food is also exceptional. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious vegan options that cater to all tastes. The ambiance is clean and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a meal with friends or family. The service is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. Whether you’re a vegan or just looking to try something new, Quan Yin is definitely worth a visit!“
“My husband and I ordered dinner through DoorDash tonight. I’ve been craving the Asian Chicken Salad and posole. He had the seafood pasta. Unfortunately, the chicken was left off my salad. I was so disappointed. Everything else was wonderful, and I understand mistakes happen so I’m rating a 4. By the time we received the order and opened it, the restaurant had closed. A note to those that pack the orders to check them extra carefully. An Asian Chicken Salad without your delicious chicken is just, a salad. We’ll try again another day.“
“You could easily mistake this place for an old house. Some might think this is a hole in the wall kind of place. Let me just tell you, this place is top notch!Every dish ordered by my family was excellent. The tacos were an excellent choice to try a variety of their vegan protein options. I tried 5. The tinga was probably my favorite, but the pastor, barbacoa, and carnitas were close behind, while my least favorite was a potato based, and it was good, but the others were amazing. Oh, and I cannot forget the beans served with them. This could easily be overlooked, but rocked!!The chimichanga was just slightly on the salty side, but for a deep fried burrito it pretty much was awesome. The mole enchiladas were something else. That mole sauce was delicious. Finally the quesadillas were massive. My 18 year old son, who can eat a ton said he was more full eating that than anything in recent memory. This is probably the 2nd best vegan Mexican food I've ever had. And anyone who is not vegan will also enjoy these dishes because they are fantastic! Finally, the staff were so flipping nice. Really great people.“
“We came here during Chinese new year and the tea house was closed bc of the festivities. There were a couple of outdoor tents that had food to purchase. Plenty of variety and were delicious. The temple had a few activities and crafts to buy. Very cool place, looking forward the the tea house next time.“
“Velvet Taco is my love language. It's my first time ordering from Galleria location and I had an issue with the time pick up so I called them to let them know and Jennifer was so accommodating and really did everything in her power to make the client (me) happy! Thank you so so much Jennifer, you are awesome! I really appreciate you for being so kind and understanding! I'm definitely becoming a regular at this location! Costumer service 10/10!“
“This place gets very busy so the wait was a bit long. I ordered bun rieu and bun bo hue to-go. Good portion and only $6.50. However, it felt like they just completely forgot my order because I was waiting for a long time. I mean it was to-go? So all you have to do is prepare it as in put all the food in the containers. I got a little annoyed because people who came in after me got their food first. Don't know if they pre-ordered beforehand but it was a few times before I finally went up and ask where is my food.Anyways, for a vegetarian dish, it was flavored nicely and I think people who doesn't like vegetarian food will enjoy it too. Plus it's healthy. You can taste a lot of tomatoes in the broth, almost a little sour to me. The bun bo hue was interesting, definitely not your usual bun bo hue.“
“Go there. Just go. We've been eating at Duy whenever we are in Houston (seems like 20 years now), and this place is absolutely the tops. Seemingly endless options for vegan banh mi and vegan pho, with great rolls of various kinds, delicious homemade hot sauce, and a plethora of stuff to take away to reheat and/or cook at home. And EVERYTHING is DELICIOUS. The soup broth is perhaps the best vegan version anywhere. Houston is without doubt the premier place in the US for Vietnamese food, and there are plenty of great vegan spots (including Quan Yin, which is right around the corner from Duy, and San San Tofu, which is right up the street), and Duy is one of the very best. It's a true hole-in-the-wall, but don't let that put you off. Super friendly staff, too!“
“Food was very tasty. The Kobe beef burger tasted out of this world. It was like eating a cheese burger. I would definitely order that one again. The rotisserie chicken taco was simple and delicious. The brisket nachos have a wonderful flavor. A spicy sauce of some sort is on there. The red velvet cake is a must order. Very good dessert.“
“Definitely reccomend, it's great food that doesn't take stupidly long to come out.Food:We ordered the Vada Pav, Chole Bhature, Mysore Masala Dosa, Special Combo Dosa (Masala dosa with one vada and one idli), and had falooda, rasmalai, and Kaju Anjir shake for dessertThe vada pav was ESPECIALLY good. Possibly in the top 3 vada pav I've ever had. The amount of chutney they gave was perfection. The pav was slightly crispy, so you could get a subtle crunch in each bite. Ultra satisfying. I was too busy eating it to get aesthetic pictures...The chole bhature was authentic too. Great flavor! Spicy too. Too spicy for me, but I have a weak spice tolerance. Anyone used to typical Indian cuisine won't have a problem. Very nice chole. The special combo dosa was great, but the vada wasn't completely cooked. Slightly doughey, It wasn't fun to eat. The idli was better, and was amazing the the tomato chutney (which I loved btw). The coconut chutney wasn't all that special, but it wasn't unpleasant in the slightest. The sambar was good, as expected. Not the best I've ever tried, but I wouldn't turn it down.Mysore dosa was the same, spicier (obviously) and really really tasty. I loved the texture of the dosa.THE RASMALAI IS CRAZY. Highly recommend!!!! Really really really good. I love rasmalai and it was perfect, not too sweet and not soggy. I actually typically hate nuts on Indian sweets, but thankfully they turned it into little slivers. I don't even like sliced almonds, but the little slivers were small enough for me to appreciate the flavor without having texture problems. Perfect taste!I didn't like the Kaju Anjir shake but that's most likely because I hate figs and dates. The falooda was perfect though.Food was all in all a solid 4.6/5. It didn't take overly long to come out, and I'm saying that after being super hungry and impatient when I walked in.Service was also nice. I appreciate that they leave extra cutlery and small plates, because me and my family share food a lot and need extra plates. It's nice we didn't have to ask.The place was clean and so was the cutlery. No complaints there.“
“I ate here the other day and this was THE BEST raw vegan meal I have ever had and I’ve been raw vegan for over 10 years… the food was so fresh and delicious… and it was filling without being too heavy… it was amazing… I don’t live in Houston but I will be dreaming about this place until I am fortunate enough to return. I had the salad, pizza, wrap, & strawberry lemonade and it all SLAPPED!!!“
“Great place for a tasty meal at a reasonable price, we came in expecting it to be a regular Chinese buffet, but were surprised it was all vegetarian and vegan dishes. We loved the food, it was very good and very filling.Highly recommended!! :)“
“Honest revkew: if you're craving sodium, then come here. The salt is off the chain! How do I know? Na+ and H2O work like besties in your body. Na+ increase = H2O increase. H20 increase = volume of blood the blood vessels. Blood increase = pressure increase. Thus, once the salt is consumed by me in perhaps a delicious Tikka Masala, I start to soon notice my heartbeat getting faster and faster and my body feeling hot all of a sudden, and then I get out the blood pressure machine and woop there it is, that mmHg increase! The WHO recommends less than 5 grams of salt per day. Consider this before indulging. Stay hydrated, stay active, and stay positive, my fellow earthlings!“
“Kindhearted and attentive staff, Damian took my order and never missed a beat, greeted everyone with so much love. They have something for everyone and the portions are very generous. Hands down the best Flower Child location that I have been to.“
“Came down from Arlington to attend a wedding. We wanted to try a local restaurant and this came up on a Google search. I was blown away by the food here. The roasted vegetable wrap was delicious and the air-fried sweet potato fries were crispy. Their potato salad is probably the best I've ever tasted, it was slightly sweet and tangy. The staff was super friendly and let us taste some items before we ordered. A deli restaurant like this would thrive in Arlington near UTA.“
“I think the restaurant is called Pho Basil now. Me and my boyfriend came and ordered a chicken pho, shaken beef with rice, and beef spring rolls. It was the best pho in Houston I’ve tried! Sooo flavorful and the waiter was nice and food came out fast.“
“I got the acai fruit bowl. They skimped on the banana and gave me more strawberry. I didn't complain because that's just not me. I just either give them a second chance or just lose my business is that simple. Kozy place. Friendly person that took my order the first time I went like 2 months ago. Thanks for reading my reviews on Google.Shalom?“
“They have very tasty and affordable vegan and vegetarian Chinese food here.My favorite place for vegetarian food is probably San San Tofu on the Vietnamese side, but this place is good as well and has more options for baked goods and breads. Not that much seating but probably enough for 14 or so people total with very casual seating. I’ve only gotten take out here so far though and tried about 5 different dishes my favorite is the Taiwanese “pork” rice (滷肉飯) and the rice noodle stir fry. There’s a restroom upstairs for the plaza you can take the stairs or elevator or escalator up. The store is located in the plaza but you can’t see it from the outside since this like more like a mall building.5% charge if you use credit card but no extra fee if you pay cash or Venmo I believe. Sometimes they pick up the phone and sometimes they don’t but the cooked food is pretty fast regardless.“
“Been going here for years! My favorite dish from this place is the Nom Pao aka “Banh Bao” which reminds me of home. Hope they'll never change the recipe. Fresh Hot Sesame mung bean balls and fried sesame biscuit. Omg. Drools ?Vegetarian options: Alot of vegetarian food there. They specialize in tofu.Kid-friendliness: Alot of kids favorite drinks and snacks in the area.Parking: Plenty of space.“
“A modern Indian restaurant. If you are coming here for traditional Indian fare, you might be disappointed but if you are looking for the Indian flavors with a twist, then you should try this place. What we ordered:1. Delhi chat - a combo chat of famous chat items (dahi balle, aloo tikki) on a single plate. Was great. Tamarind chutney needs to be a bit more sweet.2. Earth thali - was okay. Only the butter chicken and naan was good.3. Texan - almost everything was great. The lamb chop with aloo tikki was a stretch and did not work for me.4. Masala Chai - 0/5 - this was a ready made Chai pack mixed in hot water. Did not have the creaminess of the whole milk. A good Chai needs time and this was very disappointing.5. Chai pie - very intresting and liked it.Thalis should come with some rice, just comes with a naan.Overall, worth a try.“
“Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options like gardenin burgerDietary restrictions: They have vegetarian, vegan and dairy free optionsParking: They have street parking that is freeKid-friendliness: They have a kid friendly menuWheelchair accessibility: The place is wheelchair accessible“
“They guess five stars for the quality of their food, which is still absolutely absolutely brilliant in every location. I will say that today. This location seems severely challenged in delivering food. My three buffalo chicken tacos look like each one was made by a completely different person at a completely different location. One was bursting with delicious chicken and shredded carrots. One was the normal amount of chicken and insane amount of shredded carrots. And the third one was just two little pieces of chicken with no carrots or anything. This is not a bad review. There's no way you can leave this place without being satisfied, but I would say this location is still trying to pull itself together. Maybe it was just one of those days were too many employees called in sick.“
“We had lunch catered by Farro and it was amazing!! Juan and staff were very professional and accommodating to our requests. The setup was lovely and everyone loved the many options they had to build their healthy bowl. The price was very reasonable as well. We will definitely be using their catering service again!“
“Sure it's not a cheap taco, but it's really good with exotic ingredients. They have homemade margaritas and quite a nice selections of draft beers on tap. Half of them seemed to be local craft brews.plenty of comfortable seating and high top tables if that's what you're into. Pretty darn fast service too.“
“We had not been there in a while - and they have certainly upped their game. Restaurant was very clean. We were welcomed as we entered. The naan was cooked crisp and tasty. Food was delicious. And dinner for two for less than $30 was a steal.Parking: Lots of free parking make this also an easy place to visit.“
“UPDATE:We have now been back two times since our poor post-pandemic experience. We had a wonderful experience and delicious, hot, fresh food each time. Everyone there has been kind and thoughtful. I am so happy they found their way back, and I highly recommend them to everyone.PREVIOUS REVIEW:Loving Hut used to be my favorite restaurant in Houston. The server was super friendly and knowledgeable, the food was delicious, the portions were large enough to share, and the restaurant had a nice vibe. When we went yesterday for lunch, though, it wasn’t at all what it was pre-covid. They did not have half the dishes we ordered, the portion sizes were greatly reduced, they forgot one of our orders and then claimed we never ordered it. When I showed proof of the order, they refunded our money, but did not explain or apologize for the error. It seems they now only carry pre-made food items like breaded soy patties, french fries, etc. Those who had the Happy Crispy Burger said it was tasty, but whatever they used in the Spicy Cha Cha was just fried and flavorless. The Lovepucinos were very good. Sadly, I can no longer recommend Loving Hut in Houston.“
“I live close by and start every day with a cup of their house blend. Their menu offers much more with lattes, macchiato, espresso and such. The menu ranges from breakfast to dinner with an option of beer, cocktails and wine. The atmosphere is casual with good music in the background. Karissa is my favorite batista in all of downtown Houston, I can't say enough about her to justify her service, you'll have to come in and see for yourself. Praise to ToutSuite on Commerce St!“
“I love how efficient their to-go system works. You just walk right in to pick up from the shelves you’re good to go. The variety of healthy drink options are great too, I got to try something new and loved it. Easily accessible by the Metro Rail and its kept clean both inside and outside seating. I made my own bowl but realized they had more menu options available in store than online. I’ll definitely be trying the elote bowl next time! Everything tasted so fresh and filling.“
“We tried the paav Bhaji and the RajKachowri. Those were great. The RajKachowri didn’t have yoghurt so we had to ask for more. Taste and speed was good. The ambiance can be improved. Honestly the lights are too night like it’s an airport and the walls have masala splattered over it. We look forward to coming here for the speedy and clean food. We took some other dishes and overall the spice level was manageable also.Dietary restrictions: They can make everything without onion garlic except thalis“
“Let’s get into it ! This place is POC friendly and I love it. I found out about this hidden gem when I told my boss that I was about to break my fast and I couldn’t decide on what to eat because I was not too hungry, she suggested that I order ‘Chole’ which is basically chickpeas immersed in a bold chili flavored gravy along with 2 pieces of deep fried bread on the side and you know I had to try their mango lassi (Didn’t disappoint) … Omg it was so good I decided to go back the next day and this past Saturday. The customer service was AMAZING the owner took my order 8 minutes before they were closing and didn’t seem irritated by my late order and because of that my wallet will always have money for this restaurant . Go see for yourself and tip them accordingly ?“
“Oh my gooossshh! I am NOT vegan nor gluten free and I love me some meat and potatoes. Now with that said...This was the absolute best tasting vegan Mexican food EVER! The empanadas and enchiladas are amazing. The pupusas were just okay for me but they probably taste okay on their own. I happened to eat them after eating that empanada and tasting the enchiladas. Oh and let's not forget the vegan queso is EVERYTHING.This type of good healthy eating should not only be reserved for the Heights community. Open up another location on the north side PLEASE!“
“Great food. The triple Sichuan is phenomenal. It would be better if they included more sauce in it. The pav bhaji was just ok. Not worth upgrading for the cheesy one. The thali was really good and the best curry with it was the sambar. The coconut chutney wasn’t great. The pani poori was good. Kinda odd that we have to make it ourselves. It would have been better if it came premade and we just have to add the pani and idli.Vegetarian options: Entire menu is vegetarianParking: Better to park in the garage behind the complex.“
“This is legit the best vegan bakery I have ever been to in my life. Every single thing they make is uniquely designed and delicious- more tasty than any vegan pastries I have ever had. It doesn’t even matter what flavor it is or type of pastry, everything tastes amazing. If I had thousands of dollars to donate to something, it would be this place.“
