“This might be the best pizza I have ate in Houston yet. The crust is golden and beautiful, not burnt. Perfectly can fold a single slice. Something I wish other pizza places could get right. Slices are huge, all you need is one. Reminds me of a better version of the Vitos out in West Hollywood I used to go to. I'll stick with this place for Pizza. ?“
“This restaurant is amazing. I am from Dallas and took my girlfriend here because we wanted Italian food. When we came inside, the owners were very kind and inviting. We got the small Mony appetizer (comes with 4 wings, breadsticks, and 4 fried ravioli’s), Giant slice of Mony’s, Giant slice of Margarita Pizza, and a plate of Tortellini framaggio with alfredo sauce. The appetizers and everything was great! The pizza I posted was the margarita pizza, and as you can see, they are HUGE. The Mony pizza slice was just as big and tasted AMAZING. Al of it was so good, I have no bad views. The sprite and water was also refreshing. We will definitely be coming back and telling friends about Mony’s Pizza and Italian Kitchen!“
“This is our favorite Italian restaurant. Every thing was amazing. Carmelo, our waiter, was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we sat down, he greeted us with a friendly smile and made us feel right at home. His menu recommendations were spot-on. I highly recommend him to anyone visiting Impero Italiano restaurant. Thanks, Carmelo, for an amazing lunch!“
“First time customer but not the last visit! Ordered two nice drinks the Hugo and a beer, $6 since it was HH. Ordered the OG and Diavolo pizzas both were good, although I liked hubby's better (the OG). The Diavolo was spicy good! Tiramisu was nice ending to the meal. Parking in back, service awesome! Can't wait to try it again.“
“Really great ambiance, attentive service, cocktails, and very modestly priced Italian food. Would go back and recommend! The service had the white glove feel without the cost. For example, welcome glass of Brut, fresh shaved cheese and fresh cracked pepper for pastas, and cleansing warm towelette at the end.“
“Tried the Dream Catcher and Margarita pizzas at Gypsy Poet—both delicious! Friendly staff, speedy service, and lively ambiance with great music. Parking is on the street which is not too hard to find. A delightful pizza experience overall.“
“The food is incredibly good, and the service and atmosphere match the excellence of the food. So far we have tried several different types of pizza and loved each one. The ingredients are fresh, flavor’s vibrant, and we are hooked. They definitely are our new go to place for pizzas and more.“
“Boyfriend and i decided to finally try. Even though it was slow we was still positively greeted by the manger and lady behinds the counter. We got the bone in and bone out combo with waffle fries. The sauces we tried was chipotle bbq and mild lemon pepper. Tried the food while driving and almost burnt my tongue in a good way lol. Fresh af and the flavors was delicious. We will be back to try other items and flavors.“
“If you haven’t tried this pizza, you are missing out. This is the best pizza I’ve had in Texas honestly!!! give this place a shot I got the supreme pizza it was a large and trust me a large could feeda lot of people!! the crust was thin, but not too thin was fresh. It was hot great quality I recommend this place I will be using this place from here on.“
“I don't even know where to begin for this place. I was driving around town to where I would treat myself for brunch and wanted pizza. I came across Elro and decided to try it out. They have parking across the street that's free with plenty of space. When I walked in, I kinda felt like I was Alice in Wonderland chasing the hare!! The wallpaper and decor was everything!!! I was immediately greeted by a warm smile from one of the staff named Purity she is fabulous! I sat down on a bench sort of area with a perfect amount of natural light. I was immediately made to feel comfortable. I regretted not bringing my book that I had just purchased from Kindred Stories... but that's for another review. It's an open kitchen concept. I love watching the artistry of food prep! Since I was treating myself, I tried something from each of the menu sections and got great suggestions. The spicy cucumbers are so refreshingly crisp and tasty, the Snapper crudo with mango puree was perfect, the mushroom pizza was like a mini orgasm in my mouth... smokey shiitakes the perfect amount of sauce and the cheese with olive oil drizzle atop and just the right amount of rosemary... I'm drooling yall. The 10th Avenue drink was pretty potent yet refreshing. I may be a lightweight, or it was strong. I had maybe 1/4th of the drink, and I was buzzed. I finished off with the Tira-Miso, which was an interesting spin to the tiramisu light and crispy with an umami taste. I loved how I felt after leaving since I wasn't rolling out of the place overstuffed. I will definitely be coming back and recommend yall try 12/10!“
“One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had and probably the best in Houston. They have a cute vibe in both restaurant locations, food is always fresh and delicious and good wine selection. My only complaint is the hours of operation! I can never make it over there to eat because they have such short operating hours. Please consider opening longer to accommodate more customers.“
“#JoeFoodTour the new TPDC is a quirky neighborhood gastropub complete with unusual drinks like the holiday Boogie boys (tasted like a chocolate almond joy, Makers mark based). Even the fusion Hallo-mas,Christmasween decorations give you insight to the fun atmosphere. Super cool to have this in up and coming Northside village. #HowdyFromHouston #ThePropertyJoes #LivingLifeInHouston #Northside #EdisonAndPatton“
“Went back here for the first time in about a year and it was such a charmed and wonderful experience. Unique and fun twists on dishes that still feel classically Italian. Beautiful outdoor seating area that feels equal parts causal and upscale while also being private and lively at the same time. Fantastic service. Beautiful design. Perfectly nails unpretentious upscale. Lovely lovely lovely.“
“Amazing food, laid back place and great staff. Ample parking across the street. Ordered the Fried Pork belly, south swell beer (very refreshing but a little out there in terms of beer flavors), pan fried chicken wings, Salmon bowl and bread pudding. All of those were fantastic, far beyond what I was expecting from a Kraft house. I'm already looking forward to come by again.“
“i don’t think this place is talked about enough, their food is actually IMMACULATE! also way better when you dine in than order out.Everything came out piping hot and full of flavors. Their drink choices are kinda expensive, almost $5 for a bottled coke was crazy but food is yummmm“
“I have to say that I love the food at this place ?, I usually always order takeout, but I had the opportunity to go to the place and I was even more delighted. You have to try the Nutella pizza, one of my favorites. Our waitress, Vicky, gave us excellent ? service. We will be back soon .“
“Good restaurant. We enjoyed our dinner here - good food, service, and vibe. We got a variety of dishes and they were all decent but the ones that stood out have asterisks below. Wish their tomato sauce was a little bolder in flavor. The bread basket and olives at the beginning was ok - not the best in town. The lychee mocktail was ok - wouldn’t get it again- Fritto Misto - fried calamari*- Truffle Pasta*- Spaghetti Pomodoro- Gnocchi- Branzino alla Griglia- Mango Cheesecake- Pistachio Tiramisu*“
“Really delicious Pizza! The ambience is pretty casual but food was top notch. We had garlic bread and Chicago sausage as appetizers the carne trio pizza was probably the tastiest pizza I have had in years. The crust was perfect. Had a nice glass of Chianti too.“
“please, let me sing the praises of betelgeuse betelgeuse!!!My absolute favorite pizza spot in Houston that I wish I visited more. The last time I went I thought "this pizza isn't as good as it normally is" followed by "But it's still some of the best I've had in the city" and knew I had to write a review. This is a pizza that knows what it wants to be, and what it wants to be is good. Rather than attempting to mimic city styles like a lot of Houston pizza places try and fail at, they set themselves apart with amazing flavor combinations and food that impresses everyone I've ever brought here.A word of caution: the cocktails are ridiculously good, and it's easy to order more than you planned to. I've never had a drink that disappointed, and their seasonal menu is amazing as well.Addressing some of the complaints I've seen in other reviews:- There's an additional lot plus a lot of street parking, and the parking situation is way better than anywhere else in the area.- The service is phenomenal, and I think some of you are complaining because you don't know how to repeat yourself in a loud, busy bar. The pizza might take a bit longer than other places to come out, but it's always hot enough to burn my mouth so I know it's out to the table as soon as it's done. My drinks have always been made quickly on the spot right after I ordered.Amazing place to go with friends. It takes all the best things about cute cocktail bars and casual sports or dive bars and combines them and adds great food on top of that. I'd recommend to anyone in a heartbeat“
“I have been eating at Tony's Pizza for over a decade. The food is fresh, and the value is amazing. But I enjoy the accessibility of the owner as he works the pizza dough as you enter the shop. Yo siempre me siento en casa cuando cómo en este joya localizada en JV.“
“To say this was an outstanding restaurant experience is an understatement. The restaurant is unique, superbly designed, decorated and welcoming. The service was superb and our lobster pizza, preceded by steak tartare was excellent. Jan and I will be back soon.....“
“The pizza, as always, was delicious! I got 2 two slices to go. One Pepperoni and one Supreme. I highly recommend Frank's for the best pizza in downtown Houston!Parking: You can't park on the street on Travis St, but you can park in the parking garage across the street for a minimal price.“
“I drove all the way from north cypress to come here because of the Prez’s video about this place. The way the owner came out and talked to the Prez is exactly how he talked to me and treated me. They treat you like family. Pizza is just as much about the people and their story as it is about the pizza.I asked the owner what he would get if he were ordering and he said plain cheese. I asked for it well done because I like a little bit of a crispier bite. It was the best pizza I’ve had in years, and I had to wait 30 minutes to drive home before trying it.It wasn’t over cooked. The dough and cheese was the perfect amount of salty. It had a satisfying crunch. I’ve always been a pepperoni guy but I think this has converted me to a cheese only guy.“
“I went on a dinner date for my bday with my significant other. The ambiance was on point from the moment we walked in. The waiters were so quick, friendly and just on their job 1000%. That's what I appreciated the most is how efficient the waiters are. Ours was very attentive and knowledgeable with the menu. They sang happy bday to me and gave me a complimentary slice of cheesecake which was delicious. My food was just OK nothing that blew my mind, I ordered the Veal San Pietro. My dates dish was actually tastier than mine which was the Paglia E Fieno Con Pollo. The signature drink Peach Bellini was soooo good. What I liked the most was the service it made us want to go back and definitely try something else on the menu“
“Yum yum yummy. This place was so good. I stopped by here on the way back home and I was very satisfied. I ordered a large pizza and spaghetti and meatballs. My kids and I couldn’t even finish the pizza and that’s such a shock because we never get full off one pizza EVER. Everything tasted so fresh and the spaghetti was so good that I literally ate the sauce lol. Our waiter was extremely nice and friendly. I went to the restroom with one of my kiddos, and when I came back, he had already served the ones that were ready to eat. I thought that was so sweet and thoughtful and I LOVE anytime someone goes the extra mile. I will definitely return when I’m in town.“
“Awesome atmosphere. Great staff. Service is on point and even when crowded they all work the whole place even working the people at tables. Went for St. Patrick's day and it was very busy but as busy as they were there was no problem getting waited on.Had a nice Irish food buffet.Mr. C is right in there helping everything go smoothly and making everybody feel at home. Ashley and the other bartender are simply amazing!! Highly recommended this place.. Thanks again for a great St. Patrick's day!!“
“Food was quite good - pasta dishes for mains, calamari for an appetizer; the latter was slightly on the greasy side. Service was top-tier. Inside was a loud enough to impede conversation, outside was fine. In the middle of a downtown concrete-jungle neighborhood, as evidenced by the volume of DoorDash drivers stopping in. My reference for this chain is the North Italia in Irvine (California) - which has a totally different vibe and dramatically better atmosphere.“
“The customer service here is amazing :)They were totally slammed when we came in and let us know that ahead of time (which is GREAT for setting expectations) we ordered and said we had no issues waiting. It was still super fast in my opinion? But they were so so kind and thanked us for our patience and the pizza was FIRE (very yummy!). Our first time ordering from here. Tried the tikka masala pizza so good! I will gladly be coming back to try their other pizzas. Thank you so much for your kindness, great customer service, and yummy food!!Update/Edit:March 11, 2024We have been coming to Ashays for 2 years now although we moved further away! The food is just sooooo good you guys. The family who owns and works here are so sweet and friendly. My husband and I are big Ashay's Pizza fans haha. We will continue to come here as long as we live in the area :) I HIGHLY recommend you try every one of their pizza flavors.“
“Literally one of the best places in Houston for pizza and pasta. I stopped by Bravery Chef Hall last month but didn't have time to post a review until now, and I always have to order from Boh Pasta & Pizza every time I go here. My absolute favorite from them is fennel sausage pizza. That day when I was here, it also happened to be Steak Night (every Tuesday evening at Bravery Chef Hall), so I also ordered the ribeye steak special that they had that night. The pizza tasted amazing as usual, and the steak definitely stole the show. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned and came with delicious sides.“
“I’ve been here numerous times for happy hours and they have great specials. I brought my family here when they were visiting in town and they all loved it. They even had a local brewery there that day giving out free drinks to visitors as well which just added to the fun. The food never disappoints and there is always a good view of a TV.“
“My husband and I stumbled upon this restaurant a year ago when we were in the area and wanted something that was quaint, full of character, and had great food. We’ve been back every time we were in the area whether it was lunch or dinner. Tonight, we had an added bonus with Marissa as our server. She recommended the best meal with excellent wine selection. She was the perfect server and we will request her again.Parking is tricky, but well worth the visit.“
“So we went here to celebrate a birthday. Drink was on point and so was the food. The personal pizza was the right size and shareable so it allowed us to share and take a few pieces of everyone’s pizza to explore the menu. Doesn’t compete and food is deliver to table hot and “
“Great food, great service, wines are reasonably priced. There is a $12 corkage fee if you bring your own. Only minor annoyance, and it's something they have no control over, is if you're seating outside there is a very active freight railroad track right next to the building. Some might be annoyed.“
“Stopped by to check this place out late at night close to midnight and We loved this pizzeria the pizza was fresh and with lots of cheese. The service was awesome the guy in the front desk was so attentive and had an awesome attitude. Next time we come back to Houston we will definitely be stopping by again.“
“Excellent menu! I haven’t tried anything I haven’t loved. I would make you aware that while the pizzas are good, the crust is not crunchy enough for me.All of the pastas are fresh and very good. Order off the menu if you want to. They will accommodate if possible. Great desserts, and wonderful bartenders!“
“Stopped in for a slice of pizza while waiting for our light rail train to a ball game. Loved the atmosphere, airy and relaxed. Lots of folks were playing games and the music volume was perfect for conversation. We got slices of prosciutto & pepperoni - they were ready very quickly and were DELICIOUS! The bartenders who took our order were friendly and thoughtful. 10/10 recommend. We will be back!“
“While it might appear to be just another run-of-the-mill pizza joint in a strip mall next to an HEB, this place IS my favorite quick pizzeria; we come here a few times a month for dinner. We never leave this place hungry! Grab a slice of margherita pizza to go for lunch or dinner. You’ll love it, I promise!“
“I heard so much about this place but I wasn't quite sure if it was an alternative Italian restaurant, but to my surprise it was deliciousI loved the polpette it was a really good appetizer, it also goes great with the garlic bread,The drinks were good I like how they put simple syrup in the drink so it won't be so dull My favorite was the espresso martini and the limoncello martini, plus the service was great thanks to Ty he told me everything I needed to know about the restaurant plus he was patient with me then it was my first time, I recommend you try it“
“Y’all!!! This place is amazing! Little quaint place ducked off! But they stay busy. Kimberly, at the front counter, is the sweetest! She made sure I knew this was the best pizza spot on the East Side. Exceptional customer service! The food!!!!! Omg, the food!! Margarita pizza was mouth watering and wings were on point. Highly recommend“
“Frank took great care of our dinner group of 30 guests. His staff kept the food coming and there was very little waiting. We had chopped salad served family style, garlic bread with marinara, sausage and a variety of pizzas, veggie, pepperoni, meat lovers all.pared with wine and a selection of beers and soda. Not a fancy place just good quality food..Vegetarian options: There are lots of vegetarian options including breads, salads, cheese pizza , veggie pizza and pasta.Romanos will fresh cook most items and can leave out meat from most dishes.Parking: Lots of parking in front of the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly family pizza placeWheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible ramps, seating and restrooms“
“The food is great. Order pizza, I’m sure you should order it without any doubt. The cheese is so good, the sauce is flavourful but just a tad bit spicy coming from someone who doesn’t like spicy. But I still love. It’s only a little bit spicy. You know what I’m probably over exaggerating but let’s continue. The place is super cool with many pictures and is very interesting. Anyway you should totally come here it’s my favourite pizza place out of all pizza places. SLAY YALL“
“This is, by far, in my humble opinion , the very best pizza restaurant in the entire Greater Houston Area; I have dined here w/ my family , since 1975; I came her when I was a very young child! It was always a great place to have the pizza oil toss you the dough!! And, their buttered pasta is to die for!! I miss this place , b/ c we had to leave Houston, TX for medical reasons, but can only TEMU is the , “Good old days”! MyDear father has passed away, but I was fortunate enough to bring my dear sweet husband there, so he knows my high standard of what I mean whenever I say , “Let’s get some good pizza !” I can’t recommend this place enough; if I could move it to where we are ( Morgan Hill, CA) ; I would!!“
“The food is always good here. We had a burrata salad, tomato basil soup and the airline chicken special. All were very good. The service is solid. Probably what you'd expect for this level of food. This is one of our go to restaurants.“
“I was very impressed with how the female staffer told me how to order the GF salmon pasta dairy free. And also how the chef included my roasted veggies into the pasta. Excellent decision! Should be a recipe on the menu because it was so tasty! Next time I will take pics. Even the plated dish looked incredible!Dietary restrictions: I appreciate how the staff offers options to adjust dishes that are not originally suitable for a person’s dietary restrictions to accommodate. Very helpful and knowledgeable in that regard.“
“I love the pizza. We had the drago, topped with one of their in house hot sauces. There is a full bar with specialty drinks that were out of this world. They also showcase local seasonal beers. The servers are great ,joking and making us laugh the whole time. It was absolutely a wonderful night and we were just having pizza. Who knew pizza could be so awesome.“
“We really loved the vibe and the food. Outstanding service, great food and loved the 80’s theme. They even have the old school video games we played as kids of the 80’s. It was also a great place for the kids they enjoyed the games as we waited for a table. Would definitely return.Parking: I got lucky and was able to find a spot right up front but there is street parking and a lot across the street that has plenty of parking.“
“Loved this place our visit to Houston! I’m surprised more people haven’t visited this! The flavors were on point. We enjoyed the cilantro egg chicken roll, lamb roll and the paneer rolls. The taste was perfect and even the single rolls were filling. The mango lassi is one of the best I’ve ever tasted with the perfect consistency.Keep up the great quality, folks!Parking tip (We struggled with this): You can park at the Lyric garage and get your parking validated if you leave within 2 hours. You will need to make sure you get a receipt from the restaurant with a QR code that you will need to scan at the parking meter. (Perhaps this is only required for weekends as we went on a weekend, not sure about weekdays).“
“I'll start by saying I ordered through Grubhub. My final price for my meal was a little over $52. I changed my mind twice about ordering one meal for one person at that price but I was hungry. I am a OTR Truckdriver. I was parked at a Truckstop and I don't eat Mickey D's (McDonald's). So anyway, I ordered a 10" pizza which really would have been enough. I also ordered the almost $20 lasagna. I am not a connoisseur of pizza but I must say my taste buds were very much satisfied. Now for this $20 lasagna. For my taste, it was very good and very satisfying. The portion size was larger than I expected. With that being said the price was understandable and for me very much worth it. I have no "but" or anything negative to say. In closing, the next time I am in this area, this is my go to spot for a good meal. (Please don't change a thing.)“
“Luna has been our family's go-to pizza place for years. Cobb salad and chopped salad are great. We always do a small salad Ana large pizza.. half pep and half proshuto & arugula. Love the fresh herbs to add to the pizza, and service is always great. This review goes for Kirby and Westhimer locations.Vegetarian options: Veggie pizza is great“
“All I can say is just go. Go and order whatever strikes your fancy, because it is all going to be insanely delicious. This meal capped off our little "day-cation" and I could have asked for more. The food is incredible. Thoughtfully prepared, incredibly inventive pairings, a super fun wine list, and some of the best panna cotta I've ever had. Just go.“
