“All I can say is just go. Go and order whatever strikes your fancy, because it is all going to be insanely delicious. This meal capped off our little "day-cation" and I could have asked for more. The food is incredible. Thoughtfully prepared, incredibly inventive pairings, a super fun wine list, and some of the best panna cotta I've ever had. Just go.“
“This might be the best pizza I have ate in Houston yet. The crust is golden and beautiful, not burnt. Perfectly can fold a single slice. Something I wish other pizza places could get right. Slices are huge, all you need is one. Reminds me of a better version of the Vitos out in West Hollywood I used to go to. I'll stick with this place for Pizza. ?“
“Amalfi is still the place that friends recommend to friends because there just is seldom any type of problem. Food is outstanding. Service is very good. You see your friends there and everyone is smiling. The owners work hard, are great people and do not take your patronage for granted. True neighborhood gem.“
“First time trying this place as recommended by a friend. Everything tasted so fresh! I opted for the sea bass-delicious, skin was crispy and meat was flaky. Hubby ordered the special of the day - carbonara with crispy chicken on the side. Pasta was heavy (it’s pasta lol) but very tasty and definitely house-made!! Their espresso hit the spot as well! I’m an avid coffee drinker and when I say this espresso was strong, it was STRONG (I love strong coffee) - I went home and completed a workout, took dogs for a mile walk, folded laundry, and scrubbed my bathrooms. lol.I will definitely be returning to try other food options!“
“We Love Bacaro's! We went there thinking it was a wine bar & discovered a whole lot more! They have great foods, wines, impeccable friendly service & ambience! It is because of all those qualities that we chose them to make our wedding & groomsmen cakes (our party was too large for the restaurant). We've brought many friends there to enjoy. They are family owned & run with passion.“
“This is our favorite Italian restaurant. Every thing was amazing. Carmelo, our waiter, was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we sat down, he greeted us with a friendly smile and made us feel right at home. His menu recommendations were spot-on. I highly recommend him to anyone visiting Impero Italiano restaurant. Thanks, Carmelo, for an amazing lunch!“
“My boyfriend and I came here for our Valentine's celebration! We went on a Saturday night, and it was packed to the brim. Luckily, we had a reservation. While waiting for our table, I talked to a lovely woman who claims to go there quite often and swears by this place! The service was stellar! Our waiter was warm and inviting. Now onto the food: Appetizer: gamberi al diavolo Entrees: tagliata di lombatello & spaghetti alla carbonara Desserts: affogato & panna cotta al yogurt We loved the sauce the gamberi al diavolo had and wished there was more! The steak was cooked at a perfect medium rare, and the arugula with dressing was a nice touch. The carbonara was the perfect creaminess and was rich with flavor. I want the recipe for the panna cotta! I'm not kidding! And you can't go wrong with an affogato Overall, this place seems to be loved by many! I've been looking for a go-to Italian restaurant in Houston but nothing comes to mind...until now! I can't wait to come back and try the bolognese!“
“Really great ambiance, attentive service, cocktails, and very modestly priced Italian food. Would go back and recommend! The service had the white glove feel without the cost. For example, welcome glass of Brut, fresh shaved cheese and fresh cracked pepper for pastas, and cleansing warm towelette at the end.“
“This restaurant is amazing. I am from Dallas and took my girlfriend here because we wanted Italian food. When we came inside, the owners were very kind and inviting. We got the small Mony appetizer (comes with 4 wings, breadsticks, and 4 fried ravioli’s), Giant slice of Mony’s, Giant slice of Margarita Pizza, and a plate of Tortellini framaggio with alfredo sauce. The appetizers and everything was great! The pizza I posted was the margarita pizza, and as you can see, they are HUGE. The Mony pizza slice was just as big and tasted AMAZING. Al of it was so good, I have no bad views. The sprite and water was also refreshing. We will definitely be coming back and telling friends about Mony’s Pizza and Italian Kitchen!“
“First trip to MB. Alex our waiter was wonderful!!! We were ther for brunch!!! Started with Bruschetta and both had two different versions of eggs Benedict! And ... frozen Bellinis!!! Everything was excellent from beginning to end!!! We will return!“
“Potente is a gorgeous restaurant and their team delivered the most beautiful and delicious meal. From planning our small private party to bidding us farewell after the meal, the restaurant and its entire team was impeccable. Cameron led an elegant dinner experience for our party of 13. Our sommelier was excellent. I can’t adequately describe the attention to detail that Potente put into our meal and service.Congratulations to Potente and their amazing team. I will not forget the incredible meal and thoughtful service you provided. I highly recommend this lovely restaurant if you are looking for a one of a kind experience and deliciously satisfying meal.“
“I cannot wait to come back here! We had a nice meal before a show at the Alley and it was perfection. From the bread service to the risotto served table side in the cheese wheel, everything was incredible! I’ve been thinking about it every day for weeks!“
“This was my favorite Italian restaurant and it is still good food but the portions are smaller and they have changed a few food items like the minestrone soup is different with cabbage and other veggies that it never had, they don't have the spicy tomatoe sauce they used to have, and to many big chunks of carrot in the house salad which used to be Julianne. I do like the $10 food option for take home that is a plus bc it is anything equal or lesser value to your meal u bought that you can take home for $10 . The floors are dated and need replaced as do the booths and tables, but seems clean. Our server was good except the hostess seemed irritated and when I asked for a booth she tried to sit my family in a half booth half table setting so I had to reiterate I would like an actual booth. Drinks were good, my amaretto sour was perfect and my husband's old fashion was strong lol. It's a place we will return to every so often but not really as exceptional as it used to be to go often.“
“I don't even know where to begin for this place. I was driving around town to where I would treat myself for brunch and wanted pizza. I came across Elro and decided to try it out. They have parking across the street that's free with plenty of space. When I walked in, I kinda felt like I was Alice in Wonderland chasing the hare!! The wallpaper and decor was everything!!! I was immediately greeted by a warm smile from one of the staff named Purity she is fabulous! I sat down on a bench sort of area with a perfect amount of natural light. I was immediately made to feel comfortable. I regretted not bringing my book that I had just purchased from Kindred Stories... but that's for another review. It's an open kitchen concept. I love watching the artistry of food prep! Since I was treating myself, I tried something from each of the menu sections and got great suggestions. The spicy cucumbers are so refreshingly crisp and tasty, the Snapper crudo with mango puree was perfect, the mushroom pizza was like a mini orgasm in my mouth... smokey shiitakes the perfect amount of sauce and the cheese with olive oil drizzle atop and just the right amount of rosemary... I'm drooling yall. The 10th Avenue drink was pretty potent yet refreshing. I may be a lightweight, or it was strong. I had maybe 1/4th of the drink, and I was buzzed. I finished off with the Tira-Miso, which was an interesting spin to the tiramisu light and crispy with an umami taste. I loved how I felt after leaving since I wasn't rolling out of the place overstuffed. I will definitely be coming back and recommend yall try 12/10!“
“I’m new to Texas and I had a wonderful experience at Carrabba’s. Not only was the food delicious, Darian made my experience that much better. She was very pleasant and made my friend and I feel welcome. Thank you so much Darian, you ROCK!!!“
“The food is incredibly good, and the service and atmosphere match the excellence of the food. So far we have tried several different types of pizza and loved each one. The ingredients are fresh, flavor’s vibrant, and we are hooked. They definitely are our new go to place for pizzas and more.“
“Recently had the pleasure of eating here, at a company function. What an amazing place, atmosphere was wonderful, service across the board was amazing and you were treated like royalty from when you walked up to when you walked out. An exceptional 5 Star establishment. I had tuna appetizer and it was great, followed up with main course of Beef Tenderloin, that was so tender you did not need a knife. And topped that off with a Hazelnut Bavaroise. 5 Star Service, 5 Star food, 5 Star flavor and overall an amzing place.“
“Went back here for the first time in about a year and it was such a charmed and wonderful experience. Unique and fun twists on dishes that still feel classically Italian. Beautiful outdoor seating area that feels equal parts causal and upscale while also being private and lively at the same time. Fantastic service. Beautiful design. Perfectly nails unpretentious upscale. Lovely lovely lovely.“
“I have to say that I love the food at this place ?, I usually always order takeout, but I had the opportunity to go to the place and I was even more delighted. You have to try the Nutella pizza, one of my favorites. Our waitress, Vicky, gave us excellent ? service. We will be back soon .“
“One of our fav places in Houston. Central to Montrose, the service, flavors, and atmosphere are always excellent. We love the flash fried cauliflower and various bruschetta. They have tons of vegetarian options, good drinks including a few non-alcoholic options for adults. The patio has always been comfortable, even when it's Houston-hot - I'm not sure if I've ever eaten inside in 12+ visits.“
“Camryn was our server tonight and i’ve never had a more pleasant server. we were here for bottle and board night and she made the night 100x more fun. she was so sweet and charismatic and gave us the best recommendations. we will definitely be coming back the next time we are in the “
“Huge restaurant with multiple spaces to dine in like indoor/outdoor and the bar! They drinks were great, especially Martinis! the bar area is cute and cozy! I recommend the lemon tenders and spinach artichoke dip.We tried the pistachio chicken from the entree and we loved it!! The happy hour gets busy especially with the parking. If you dont find parking around the restaurant park behind the blue agave.“
“Never have I ever experienced a place like this. The servers/bartender/chef/ and owner all came to my table to ensure I had the best possible meal ever! The food really has the most flavor ! The drinks will have you wanting to call your ex! This place has been one of the most traditional experiences I’ve had since I’ve been back from Italy. Thank you piero for handpicking the best staff as possible“
“If you haven’t tried this pizza, you are missing out. This is the best pizza I’ve had in Texas honestly!!! give this place a shot I got the supreme pizza it was a large and trust me a large could feeda lot of people!! the crust was thin, but not too thin was fresh. It was hot great quality I recommend this place I will be using this place from here on.“
“Let's start with Mario our waiter, he was marvelous, he was so knowledgeable and attentive he made our time so enjoyable. The lunch menu was fantastic and very reasonable. The food was really good. The wine list was great, a little expensive but a great variety of reds and whites were very good. This restaurant is well worth a try.“
“Fabulous, Freedom-Loving restaurant with true Texas hospitality. I came here after being 2nd A shamed at King Ranch. The service I experienced is night and day to the horrible treatment at King Ranch. Lorenzo took amazing care of me and my 3 babies on the patio. The food here is superb - I always get the smoked salmon and beef & chicken skewers. Jonny the manger was also super friendly and welcoming. Postino is my new local fave :)“
“The portions are bigger than we thought they would be, and had amazing flavor. The only thing was that when asking which dish was recommended, the server mentioned to get the one dish with a side of meatballs. When I asked, if the servings were small or not? He mentioned getting both would be great. I told him I didn't want to eat a lot of meat, so how big was the pork serving. He said it was 8 0z. So I said, that that would be enough for me. He still continued to pressure me into getting the meatballs, which I didn't appreciate. I held my ground, but it was not a welcome experience when being served at a restaurant. The garlic bread was amazing! I know I will be dreaming about it! ?“
“It's been a while since we've been here and it was just as great as always. Pear truffle salad was outstanding and such a wonderful combination. The lobster bisque is still the best in the world. We tried the cotton candy foie gras which was another fun combination - so delicious! Lamb chops, sea bass, salmon were all outstanding. And of course, we had to have the Souffle! Chocolate soufflé, enough said! Thank you for a great evening.“
“Our family's fav Italian in Houston! Authentic, home style red sauce (gravy), to-die for garlic bread, and the grandfatherly owner welcoming everyone by hand. Decor hasn't changed in decades, but that's its timeless appeal. Don't judge a book by its cover, this place is a jewel.“
“We are regular customers. Usually everything is consistently good with food and service but today the young lady greeting guests at the host stand was awful. She was probably new and she was not friendly or smiling at all. I can appreciate a new employee but it does not take training to be friendly and smile with people arriving for dinner. I did not get her name but she was the host greeting people Wednesday evening March 6th around 6:00pm.“
“Such a nice surprise. I had heard about this restaurant before but the experience fully exceeded my expectations.Delicious fusion of flavors, fresh ingredients, very well cooked.Very friendly service, and the opportunity to know Arturo was fantastic.Definitely one of my favorites restaurants in Houston, from now on“
“My meal was absolutely delicious! I got the calamari with orecchiette and colatura sauce. This was my first time experiencing a fish sauce with pasta and paired incredibly with the pockets in orecchiette. I tried my husband's gnocchi and it was flavorful but a little more chewy/toasted than pillowy than I'm used to.THAT CHOCOLATE CAKE though!! Decadent and rich.“
“While it might appear to be just another run-of-the-mill pizza joint in a strip mall next to an HEB, this place IS my favorite quick pizzeria; we come here a few times a month for dinner. We never leave this place hungry! Grab a slice of margherita pizza to go for lunch or dinner. You’ll love it, I promise!“
“I was celebrating my birthday with my son, and they welcomed me with a birthday card and dessert. That makes me feel special ❤️. The menu was less appealing than other times, but the flavors were spotless. The service at the table can improve.“
“An excellent Italian restaurant experience. This is a true culinary hidden gem. The food here is exceptional including the pasta and pizza. The sea food appetizers are delicious and salads are well balanced. They have an excellent wine selection and will let you taste some samples before you pick the perfect bottle. For dessert I recommend the tiramisu, classic but with delicious. And the best part? Despite the high quality of food and service, prices here are refreshingly affordable compared to similar places.“
“Went on a Saturday afternoon food was great! Even my very ,very, very, very, picky eater loved it! He will only eat about 4 different things. They had none of those on the menu. We still decided to go and see if we might be able to get him to at least try something. He did, and he loved it.“
“Comfort place to hang and drink. This place might look small and hidden but has so much to offer. Starts with a great atmosphere, great drinks, great food options and overall great bartenders. Parking: it's limited, but also has street parking. Price: low-average Seating: indoor and outdoor Has great music playing and a cool dancing spot.“
“Stopped by to check this place out late at night close to midnight and We loved this pizzeria the pizza was fresh and with lots of cheese. The service was awesome the guy in the front desk was so attentive and had an awesome attitude. Next time we come back to Houston we will definitely be stopping by again.“
“came here on a thursday at 7pm expecting live jazz but there was none! no one in the restaurant except for us & one (super helpful) worker!a cute, unassuming spot — it has a lot of potential! drinks & food were decent too. food menu is slightly limited, and there is a rooftop to sit at as well“
“Good restaurant. We enjoyed our dinner here - good food, service, and vibe. We got a variety of dishes and they were all decent but the ones that stood out have asterisks below. Wish their tomato sauce was a little bolder in flavor. The bread basket and olives at the beginning was ok - not the best in town. The lychee mocktail was ok - wouldn’t get it again- Fritto Misto - fried calamari*- Truffle Pasta*- Spaghetti Pomodoro- Gnocchi- Branzino alla Griglia- Mango Cheesecake- Pistachio Tiramisu*“
“Y’all!!! This place is amazing! Little quaint place ducked off! But they stay busy. Kimberly, at the front counter, is the sweetest! She made sure I knew this was the best pizza spot on the East Side. Exceptional customer service! The food!!!!! Omg, the food!! Margarita pizza was mouth watering and wings were on point. Highly recommend“
“Really delicious Pizza! The ambience is pretty casual but food was top notch. We had garlic bread and Chicago sausage as appetizers the carne trio pizza was probably the tastiest pizza I have had in years. The crust was perfect. Had a nice glass of Chianti too.“
“My girlfriends and I met for lunch here. It was just wonderful. We were visiting for quite some time and went past lunch closing time. The staff didn't make us feel unwelcome or try to hurry us out. Each of our meals were very tasty.“
“Best pizza place in Texas. It is very hard to find nice pizza in Texas. NY and Chicago are known for their pizza and to be able to have real pizza in Texas for the first time was amazing. Igil at the front was very nice and provided great service. I wish we lived closer so I can come buy pizza more often.“
“My husband and I stumbled upon this restaurant a year ago when we were in the area and wanted something that was quaint, full of character, and had great food. We’ve been back every time we were in the area whether it was lunch or dinner. Tonight, we had an added bonus with Marissa as our server. She recommended the best meal with excellent wine selection. She was the perfect server and we will request her again.Parking is tricky, but well worth the visit.“
“AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS LARGE CARBONARA PASTA TO DIE FOR!!! LARGE AND INEXPENSIVE...Is that not the best kind?!!Add a Pepperoni Stick, a salted caramel cookie and you have PIADA PERFECTION!! GO GET IT!!Parking: Parking limited, shared with other businesses. It is on Memorial. What do you expect?“
“This is a cozy and rustic small restaurant. The service is as good as any I gave experienced. The food was to die for. Large helpings and a very reasonable price. Lower than almost all the Houston restaurants I have been too. I've eaten there twice and will go back again. Going to be one of my favorite spots.“
“Frank took great care of our dinner group of 30 guests. His staff kept the food coming and there was very little waiting. We had chopped salad served family style, garlic bread with marinara, sausage and a variety of pizzas, veggie, pepperoni, meat lovers all.pared with wine and a selection of beers and soda. Not a fancy place just good quality food..Vegetarian options: There are lots of vegetarian options including breads, salads, cheese pizza , veggie pizza and pasta.Romanos will fresh cook most items and can leave out meat from most dishes.Parking: Lots of parking in front of the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly family pizza placeWheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible ramps, seating and restrooms“
“One of the places I’ve been longing to visit and lived up to its name. We ordered a the Marco’s meal for two - Famous Rigatoni, Shrimp Alfredo, Meatballs and Tiramisu. Everything is true to the cuisine and kinda fills you up so fast. The service is also worth mentioning, who knew what they were doing and gave the best suggestions.“
“Amazing food and service. If you're in Houston you NEED to check this place out for the food alone. I ordered the seafood giambotto stew and would 100% order it again, very flavorful and all the seafood was tender and cooked to perfection.“
