I lived in the area way back in the 70's and remembered this place. We were in town for an event, and for dinner my wife and I went there. The outside sign was the same as it had been for years. The food was very good also, so this was a very nice surprise. I had never read the story about the original owner and it is very nice. The waiter said that he is now in his 80's and is often in the restaurant and greets people now... we did not see him but the staff was as good as I remember.
It was my first time at Antonio’s and I was absolutely blown away by the food and the service. The Caesar salad and Calamari were the best that I’ve ever had. The pizza definitely lived up to all the hype. Thin, crispy and absolutely delicious. We loved, loved Antonio’s and will be back.

This is, by far, in my humble opinion , the very best pizza restaurant in the entire Greater Houston Area; I have dined here w/ my family , since 1975; I came her when I was a very young child! It was always a great place to have the pizza oil toss you the dough!! And, their buttered pasta is to die for!!
