“I’m not sure that I could recommend this place. The food was good, however I was with my 5yr old daughter and really felt like we were rushed. I understand we can’t possible order up a tab that much but we surely didn’t deserve to feel rushed. We split a salad and the meatballs. The main dish came out literally 2 mins after receiving the salad. I don’t know about this place. Slow it down.“

“I've been going to Little Maria's for lunch once or twice a week for the last 2-3 years. Every time the foods come out great. I genuinely mean every time. I cannot think of one instance i left feeling anything less than satisfied, content, or even awed. The most impressive feat of this place are the ever changing specials from day to day. It changes from BBQ (brisket & ribs), to barbacoa tacos, to orange chicken, to chicken fried steak, and any other genre you can think. Every dish is served at reasonable lunch prices but comes off like your own family made them. That's why i love this place. It doesn't feel like I'm eating at a restaurant, but rather, I'm enjoying homemade food prepped by family.“

“An austin institution. Started eating there in 1992. Great burgers, and they make and sell bulgogi burgers, my favorite burger of all time. Fries are ok. Onion rings are better shakes are thick. Branched out to open several outlets in houston ect around 2012 and this is one of the best of the houston contingent. Look for mama-san, everyone's fave counter granny.“

It was delicious, especially the soup of the day (Chicken Gumbo), my server was excellent. But the highlight of the meal was dining just 7 feet away from a massive fish tank. They had a 5 foot Goliath grouper. Black tip shark. An enormous saw fish. All just swimming around while you're dining. I will certainly be back again. Definitely a perfect place to take and impress a date!“
