“Nice, vibrant atmosphere is what you feel at TravelersTable. We enjoyed the food a lot.- stuffed pão de quejo- Louisiana fried chicken- Country brisket & cornbread- bread puddingDrink- sunny place for shady peopleFood is so creative and delicious!!“
“Me and my sisters came today visiting from Atlanta and we soo glad we came . So when we got there of course the line was soo long wrapped down around the building . But then a staff member came and told the line that there is another side of the breakfast klub next door that serves about 6 top items from their menu . So we went over there and it was so nice ! We didn’t have to wait on our food it came out in about 10 minutes . They had outdoor seating and we really enjoyed ourselves . Shout out to Bri working at the bar she was soooo sweet and nice the best customer service ! 10/10 for the food !!! The chicken GOOD the catfish GOOD fried and seasoned to perfection the waffle LIKE A FUNNEL CAKE sooo good . The prices also soo good too .We also got the mimosas pineapple and grapefruit GOOD! Make sure when you stop in Houston you check them out totally worth it .“
“Burger Chan was 5 stars all the way. I saw they did a Vietnamese coffee milkshake....yes please! Had them bring it out with my meal, very very good. My burger consisted of 3 two ounce patties with pepperjack cheese, a fried egg and charred jalapenos. This burger was tasty and juicy, had a hint of char on the edges...yum. As usual we sampled each others food. My wife got a five ounce burger patty with no bun with cheddar cheese, seared spam, sauteed onions and sliced avocado, very tasty. She added some fried cheese curds, they hit the ever widening spot, some of the best i've ever had. We will be back for more goodies.“
“I can say a lot about this place. Went during lunch. Staff was very kind. The place was CLEAN. Beautiful decorations.Food.Food was so fresh & hot & the flavor was just perfect. Literally the only thing my coworker & I noticed was that although the style of the forks are beautiful (long gold) they made our hands hurt. So, don't hold the fork towards the end like you would with a regular fork & you'll probably be fine. This is a place I've been wanting to return to ever since.Parking: There's a lot of parking spots but it's in a shopping center / strip so there weren't a ton of open spots. I did get a spot nearby though.“
“Food was okay, this place has had a decent amount of buzz around it so maybe expectations were too high. The main parts of the meal were good, but the sides (rice, elote, waffle fries -really round sliced potato) all felt very generic and bland. The shrimp tacos were the highlight!“
“TLDR: The slow service impaired the dining experience, and the passive aggressive gratuity procedure degrades the image of this restaurant. We just went here for a nice family dinner. They have a good variety of food choices. The tortilla soup and cioppino were both excellent, as were the confit potatoes. The strip steak had good flavor. The seafood beignets was unique but nothing spectacular and the roasted cauliflower was just ok. As for the desserts, the blockbuster was pretty good. The carrot cake was nothing special. What really needs improvement is the service. The waiter was slow in coming for each step of the ordering process and dining experience, and we had to flag him down twice. Also, the soup i ordered arrived at the same time as my entree, instead of being brought out with the appetizers. At least the lady that filled our water was always prompt. We ended up spending 2.5 hrs there due to slow service. Then, a 20% tip was printed onto our bill. At the bottom of the check (not disclosed on the menu), it says that a “suggested gratuity” is added for all parties of 8 or more, but we only had 5 people in our party (2 adults and 3 kids). It also says, the guest has "right to determine the final amount, free from compulsion or negotiation,” yet there it is printed onto the bill, and another line labeled “Additional Tip” below. For the level of service we received, I would’ve tipped 18% max. While I certainly could have argued it, the dinner took so long i just wanted to leave. It wasn’t much extra money, but of course that is not the point, and, it left me with a negative impression of this establishment.Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu“
“Loved this breakfast spot! Flavor was amazing on everything except the coffee lol I asked for a pump of vanilla and it tasted as if they dumped the whole bottle of syrup in my coffee. The waitress easily exchanged for another coffee just as sweet so I sent it back all together. The Berry Chantilly crepe was amazing! The chicken tenders were crispy but I was expecting just a little more flavor. The presentation of the food and restaurant is amazing! And a great sunflower concept. Staff was nice and knowledgeable. We went on a Wednesday morning so it wasn't too busy but I'm sure on the weekends it's crazy. But nice thing is that they open early. My four stars is for the parking, it's terrible especially if they're busy and can be inconvenient if you park in the front. I'm happy to go back though.“
“Taste : ✅Value for money : ✅Service : ✅Ambience : ✅---Order review.Truffle fries were great but the portions are small. Don't expect this fries to last for a table.Lawnmower fries with queso was like most fries, nothing special.Mushroom pizza is the best out of the 4 dishes that we tried here.Hummus was refreshing with some flat bread and fresh veggies.“
“I was visiting Houston and my friends took me to Fisheria. I was delighted, the corn tamale is delicious, the lemon pompano and the trio of empanadas are highly recommended!! The service from our waitress was fantastic. Thank you Celeste for your attention.“
“Great burger, onion rings, and shake. Nice outdoor area to enjoy lunch with some great weather.Parking: There's no dedicated parking lot, only parking along adjacent streets. We come here on bikes, is not too far from the Harrisburg Trail and the dedicated bike lane on Polk.“
“Went on Tuesday for their open mic comedy. Awesome, low key vibes, comics were pretty funny, and beer was delicious. Favorite beer was Fake Landing! They have a food truck on Tuesdays and their bartenders are amazing. Pollo and Natalie were so accommodating and knowledgeable as they guided us on what to drink and let us try whatever we wanted. We can’t wait to become regulars here.“
“Great neighborhood spot in Spring Branch. Been visiting off & on for years, but this is quickly becoming our new favorite go-to spot. Great draft selection, plenty of bottles & cans, great seltzer options & wine as well. Very mellow vibe always. Perfect amount of lighting inside. Cozy vibes. Plenty of seating. Backyard area is sweet & intimate. Everything is priced extremely reasonably. No pomp & circumstance involved. Great weekly date night spot for a few easy drinks. Owner is a nice guy too.“
“You won’t find a better cupcake, vegan or not, PERIOD. Always such fun and new flavor combinations too. Their cake slices, donuts, and Chaco tacos are delicious as well and so far they have the best nice cream I’ve ever had. The fact that it’s all sourced from top quality ingredients and contain zero additives or processed ingredients is an incredible bonus. Every bite truly is awesome and so are the staff!“
“This is legit the best vegan bakery I have ever been to in my life. Every single thing they make is uniquely designed and delicious- more tasty than any vegan pastries I have ever had. It doesn’t even matter what flavor it is or type of pastry, everything tastes amazing. If I had thousands of dollars to donate to something, it would be this place.“
“We had the best experience at Flower Child Houston Heights! ?The food was delicious and organic, came super fast, and was organic. The waitress and manager Cat was super friendly, welcoming and knowledge about the food and where it all comes from. Thank you Cat! ☺️✨100% recommended.Would give 6 stars if I could “
“Food was amazing! Vegan options are seasoned well and make sure you’re not missing out. Hope y’all get served by Jeanelle, when I say top tier service! She was so sweet and all of her suggestions and recommendations were on point! Definitely coming back!“
“We dine at Bacaro often because it is close to home and the food is consistently very good. The only issue we have is that service can be spotty; longer than expected waits between courses, multiple requests required for bread to be delivered, etc. We feel a little self-conscious when we have to "raise our hands" and call attention to ourselves when we need another beverage or want to pay our bill. We will certainly continue to be "regulars" here!“
“I came in with my family and this place is the cutest! Service is amazing and we were given complimentary street corn ? and OMG it is so delicious. (I didn't get a pic but I promise you, you will love it) Dinner and drinks are delicious. We will definitely be coming back“
“First trip to MB. Alex our waiter was wonderful!!! We were ther for brunch!!! Started with Bruschetta and both had two different versions of eggs Benedict! And ... frozen Bellinis!!! Everything was excellent from beginning to end!!! We will return!“
“I absolutely love this place! Every time I come here, the owner and staff are so warm and welcoming. I saw a man needing food, and told the owner that I wanted to help feed him. Without hesitation he offered to split the bill in half to help. The owner has outstanding customer service and character. Ya'll have to eat here!“
“My boyfriend and I came here for our Valentine's celebration! We went on a Saturday night, and it was packed to the brim. Luckily, we had a reservation. While waiting for our table, I talked to a lovely woman who claims to go there quite often and swears by this place! The service was stellar! Our waiter was warm and inviting. Now onto the food: Appetizer: gamberi al diavolo Entrees: tagliata di lombatello & spaghetti alla carbonara Desserts: affogato & panna cotta al yogurt We loved the sauce the gamberi al diavolo had and wished there was more! The steak was cooked at a perfect medium rare, and the arugula with dressing was a nice touch. The carbonara was the perfect creaminess and was rich with flavor. I want the recipe for the panna cotta! I'm not kidding! And you can't go wrong with an affogato Overall, this place seems to be loved by many! I've been looking for a go-to Italian restaurant in Houston but nothing comes to mind...until now! I can't wait to come back and try the bolognese!“
“Went here a while back for a quick but hopefully good lunch... & It was! Got the candy bacon, crispy deviled eggs & brussel sprouts ? It was all delicious.Online ordering and curbside pickup was pretty easy, although the wait was a bit longer than expected, showing up a few minutes after the ETA, & the person bringing out my order almost seemed confused (although I was the only one there).“
“Tried the Dream Catcher and Margarita pizzas at Gypsy Poet—both delicious! Friendly staff, speedy service, and lively ambiance with great music. Parking is on the street which is not too hard to find. A delightful pizza experience overall.“
“No nuts in the coffee!I met a friend here and it was pretty full on a Sunday afternoon. There's seating indoors and a larger area in the back. You order and pick up at the counter. I had to park on a nearby street.Lovely, flavorful coffee at a reasonable price WITH a free refill? Perfect for catching up with a friend or a first date. It's a great spot that I'd definitely return to.“
“Only bad thing I have to say is it shouldn't take 21 minutes to get 2 chicken strips, the wait was way too long. Over all the chicken is excellent, the flavor....Awesome! .....if you like spicy .....make sure you get any spice level above "mild" ....mild is tasty but it has just a hint of spice is not enough. I will be going back for higher level of heat. Delicious food ,friendly people working there. Just a little too slow of service for me.“
“Great coffee shop with a few drinks that are unique to them, at least in this area. The Cuban in particular is great! The food tastes really good but because they are a smaller shop there isn't a large variety of it. Definitely worth the stop!Parking: Parking is around the back and shared with the automotive company next door. I've never had an issue finding a spot.“
“I love this place! It's incredibly convenient since it's right by my house and the coffee is really good. During the holiday season, they add the cutest little sprinkles for a festive touch! I have also tried their teas which are good as well. My favorite dish has to be the bacon egg and cheese danish - you will not regret ordering it. The drive thru is pretty fast if you're in a crunch and they also do discounts for first responders/nurses (if you have your ID) which is nice!“
“Our 7-mile trek through Terry Hershey Park left us famished, craving a brunch that could conquer any post-hike emptiness. Thankfully, Cafe Benedicte on Memorial Drive swooped in like a brunchtime hero. The aroma of deliciousness hit us as soon as we stepped inside. We dove straight into their menu, and let me tell you, Cafe Benedicte did not disappoint. Their Meat Lovers Skillet was a symphony of flavors, overflowing with perfectly seasoned meats. My friend who ordered the braised lamb shank couldn't stop raving about its melt-in-your-mouth tenderness after craving for it in the past 3 weeks! And the grilled lamb chops? Very thankful a friend let us try his chops order. Let's just say not a single morsel remained on the plate. But the true stars of the show were the staff. Attentive, friendly, and always helpful, they made us feel like brunch royalty. By the time we left, our appetites were sated, our spirits high, and we were already planning our next visit. Cafe Benedicte gets a ten out of ten from our happy (and full) hiking crew. I highly recommend it to anyone searching for a phenomenal brunch experience.“
“What a neat Food-stand? Food-counter? There's a word for this in Hindi but for street food, so this is similar except that it's only coffees, drinks, and pastries. I read that the chef is from New York, but I especially like the location. I always go for their seasonal drinks but my husband always goes for latte with alt milk. Whenever I decide to walk the Columbia Tap Trail, this is a nice stop land treat about halfway through the trail. I feel rewarded. Although I have seen regulars here with their pups and those who also just look like they just popped out of bed for some coffee (I can relate)! It's nice to see that this place is still flourishing since the pandemic I'm sure I'll be back!“
“Ordered 2 smoothie drinks today thru Uber Eats andOMG SO GOOD!!!! The delivery alone was great with the bag it came in and also the hard cups the smoothies came in. I loved it!! I had the mangonada and I felt it was a good taste and consistency. My husband had the Pina colada and said was also tasty. I will for sure get it again and next time plan to visit the actual location.“
“Cozy coffee shop with a delightful staff that was warm, welcoming, and engaging. They have a fantastic vibe with a variety of different drink choices, from your classic espresso drinks to a host of international choices, from café de olla cold brew, to taro cold brew (pictured here), to an upcoming summer ube latte. They also have cocktails and other non-coffee alcoholic options like beer, cider, and wine available that I’ll return to try. They have plenty of bar seating around the espresso bar as well as against the windows, as well as a couple of couches.I immediately wanted to come back.Parking: Probably a dozen parking spots“
“We have been coming to Gratify for years, always amazing food, drinks, service and vibes! But Stephanie Benitez truly made our experience with the Big Vibe Group memorable! We spoke with her over my birthday brunch and she was so informative, welcoming and sweet! I told her about my family birthday dinner at Coppa Osteria the next night and she ensured she would see us over there as well. She made sure we got everything we wanted, and even hand delivered my short rib ragu pasta from next door!! The customer service and experience is always amazing and she made my birthday dinner special!“
“This venue holds a special place. It's great to see the new management has made improvements in the space-outside space is improved, sound and lights are better than ever- without destroying the cool feel that this place has. I look forward to being back.“
“Finally was able to try Big Bite and so glad I did. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and a gyro. Both were very good with lots of meat and the classic flavors you are looking for. Meat was tender, juicy and not over salted. Sauces were all great and the chili sauce had a nice little kick.Luckily, the owner showed up while I was there because he told me that the ‘over rice’ things are what they are know for. He hooked me up with a sample that blew me away with that flavor packed rice. That is the way to go. Excellent!! You don’t have to be out at the bars to stop by and grab some grub. So make a stop!“
“Jonathan makes the most delicious coffee I’ve ever ever ever had, and I’m def someone you can consider a coffee snob. He makes it with love and pride! The food is so well made, tastes fresh, and also tastes like made with love! I want everyone to check this place out and support this business. A rare find and a gem of a place. I found out about this place through a friend.“
“We came on a Saturday evening and they were quick to seat us. We started with Caesar salads. I have to say those are some of the best croutons I’ve ever had. Idk if they are made fresh, but they sure taste that way. We love pizza so we had to try more than one. We had the Honolulu and Meat lovers. The Honolulu is delicious! The ham had a great taste I just wish the pineapple was cut in smaller pieces and not slices. The meat lovers was okay maybe because of all the meat (sausage, spicy salami and bacon) it was a bit too salty. We had the tiramisu for dessert it was delicious and creamy I loved it. Our waitress was nice and friendly but she definitely seemed overwhelmed with the amount of tables she was waiting on.“
“I was driving by and decided to try it for dinner. The food was excellent. Service was great. They were very accommodating to my friends need for a low sodium meal.I had the Adana Kabab the flavor was amazing. Give it a try, you will not be “
“Love their Daily Black coffee, always super rich without milk and sugar. Had their bacon egg and cheese croissant sandwich and loved the addition of the avocado! Service was awesome! They’re so nice and they took my empty place freeing up table space before I thought of getting up which was awesome! Look forward to every visit!Parking: Parking is in the back but luckily not packed“
“i don’t think this place is talked about enough, their food is actually IMMACULATE! also way better when you dine in than order out.Everything came out piping hot and full of flavors. Their drink choices are kinda expensive, almost $5 for a bottled coke was crazy but food is yummmm“
“5 Stars all around!First time there. It was definitely enjoyable. The meat was very tasty, the bread was toasted beautifully, the lettuce & tomato were fresh, the bacon was perfectly cooked, fries were homemade, and onion rings were absolutely scrumptious! I would ?% recommend this place.“
“We love this little neighborhood pub!So many delicious options for food and the bartenders are all super friendly!Definitely checkout the boiled peanuts, Astrodog and the grilled cheese.Vegetarian options: Pretzel with cheese, grilled cheese, salad, fried pickles“
“One of our fav places in Houston. Central to Montrose, the service, flavors, and atmosphere are always excellent. We love the flash fried cauliflower and various bruschetta. They have tons of vegetarian options, good drinks including a few non-alcoholic options for adults. The patio has always been comfortable, even when it's Houston-hot - I'm not sure if I've ever eaten inside in 12+ visits.“
“Sat on the patio on a Thursday evening. Service was good, although sometimes slow. We ordered a bottle of wine and food. The food all came out before the wine which was not ideal. The servers allowed us to sample a few wines before settling on a bottle which was nice. Charcuterie board was nothing special. I don’t think they go out of their way to find the highest quality meats. For dinner I had a half panini and half salad. Both were seasonal specials and were really good. The meatballs were decent. Monday and Tuesday board and bottle night for $25 is the best deal. Other than that it’s a happening patio but the food isn’t anything worth coming for.“
“Active Passion Coffee is my absolute favorite spot! Seriously, I can't get enough. The vibe is so welcoming, and the food? Oh my goodness. You HAVE to try their Kimchi Grilled Cheese with a fried egg and bacon – it's out of this world. And get this: they make their own kimchi in-house. How cool is that?Their coffee? Let's just say I'm addicted. And the staff? They're like old friends, always there with a smile and ready to chat. Whether you're popping in for a quick pick-me-up or settling in for a lazy brunch, this place nails it. Trust me, you won't regret it. Five stars all the way!“
“Went on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed. The beer selection was on point for both myself and my wife who enjoy very different styles. The food truck that was there was perfect for a good snack. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The only thing that would have made it better would have been to have some sort of wait staff on a busy day so we didn’t have to wait in line at the bar. But overall great experience. Keep making great beer. We will be back for sure.“
“This is my spot! I was put on to the Lavender Latte and it is now my go to! They also give impeccable customer service. Shout out to Marco, Kevin, Julius and everyone I don’t know by name lol. You all are absolutely fantastic, and appreciated.Warmest Regards,Alesha B.“
“The Asian ice cream craze made it's mark in Houston, now it's time to roll out the red carpet for Persian Ice Cream, which is already a fan favorite in California.Tried this new food truck and my taste buds were delighted. Little food truck, parked on Fondern, parking lot felt shady when we pulled up but the owners big smile and the lively Persian music playing outside, made all our concerns dissipate. The ice cream was delicious and so authentic. The owner was so friendly and helpful. He told us his story of his families ties to making ice cream goes back generations. He's looking for a location to open up a brick & mortar and I wish him the best of luck bc a small spot on Fondern is not enough for such a big taste in ice cream! We'll be back and absolutely recommend.“
“Food was absolutely fantastic. Showed up for the spinach artichoke dip, and it was absolutely the star of the show. Vegan breakfast wrap was great and my partner had the crispy chicken sandwich which he said was phenomenal. Restaurant was a little loud, but nothing you wouldn't expect. Overall great experience, we will absolutely be back next time we're in the area!Vegetarian options: Lots of vegan options that work for the vegans and vegetarians out there! All cooked wonderfully“
“Used to come here a year ago and the vibe now is a lot more mature and laid back. Really good leadership and staff.Forgot the bartenders name with the afro but he was really friendly and had amazing customer service. The woman at the door is very respectful and does her job well. Also the owner is great and you can tell She has a lot of passion for the establishment.Keep this place going ? “
“Easily one of the highlights of my business trip. I’m so glad we stopped here. The sangria was perfect and the tuna ceviche was unreal. Even though we stayed a bit, service was continuously friendly and talked us into a coffee as well. Also, the portions were much more realistic and refreshing.“
