“Food & service was great! Was able to try most of the menu since I was staying there for a week and it was restaurant week.

Host and servers were great the whole entire time. I asked all of the questions and they did their best to answer them to make sure I picked the right selections.

I did have one gripe, it was that this place did not have Horchata! Why is that?!

I realized that I was not even focused on taking pictures because I cleaned my plate, EVERY. TIME. I do recommend that even if you’re out there by yourself, that affogato & hot chocolate with the churros are well worth it.

“Great place to hang out with friends or even colleagues. Dart games were really fun! The ambience was nice, DJ played really good selections of music and bathrooms were clean! Certain food can be disappointing but we found some good ones too. The service was a little slow, especially on the clean up part. I don’t know if this restaurant does not provide flatware or we didn’t ask for it.

Honestly just showed up on a Friday night for drinks and it hits every spot. Bar food, unique cocktails, cheaper beer, and awesome happy hour and weekday dinner specials. Can't ask for more. A perfect example of why Houston stands tall in late night options.

“What a vibe this place has! Great beer selection and prices are low! Friendly atmosphere for my lgbtq friends. Invited them because I felt it was a very inclusive place when I stopped there by myself for a drink about 2 months ago.

I got 2 amazing dark beers for 3 dollars each last night. That is like a needle in a haystack situation to me. The girls loved their cocktails too and we stuck around longer than we had intended and played a round of pool. I feel comfortable at this bar, very homey. I stopped in last time and the taco kitchen was in. Can't remember what I had but it was really dank and fairly priced. They share a kitchen with a few different food truck type folks, so you can get different food on site depending on what day of the week you come in! Music was on point for the vibes with the disco balls and rainforest backdrops.

3 hour free parking on the street the bar is located on!

Knowing this, I decided to swing by again and give them a try.Babyyyyyyy, I'm glad I did! First of all, the customer service was GREAT! I interacted with four different people and everyone was so personable and friendly. I told the man who was helping me that it was my first time and he recommended a drink for me. “I went to lunch at Stray Horse because the JW Marriott was the venue I was attending a seminar. I arrived earlier then other attendees and the restaurant got full very quickly. I was able to get my order in before the restaurant filled up. There were four people total assisting the crowd. I have never seen anyone move as quickly and assisting everyone with their needs. Even though they were busy they made sure I was taken care of. The chef salad was exceptional. I went to eat there the next day for lunch...need I say more.“

Chris, who is behind the incredible revamp, is so fun to chat with and always makes you feel like you're at home.

Whether you are stopping in for a bites with friends, or just stopping in for a quick drink at the bar, it is always an incredible time. I live about a 3 minute walk away, so I go at least once every 1-2 weeks, and I will def keep going back. 10/10 all around.“
