My friend hosted her book signing there, and everything flowed smoothly. The staff was accommodating, and the overall ambiance added a professional yet intimate touch to the event. “This place is phenomenal! This is my second visit and just like the first one it did not disappoint. Tried the brussels sprouts (Omg!) the wings, burguer, shrimp poboy and corn bread and everything…EVERYTHING was so fresh, delicious, delicate and madr with care. Cocktails are amazing. They make their own syrups and recipes! Tried the Madame Nadine and the Pomegranate Hibiscus and both were perfect. Service is top notch, everyone is so friendly. They have happy hour 4-7 and tango music/dance on sundays. I will definitely come back. Love this place!“

“We had a beautiful wedding at AvantGarden. My partner and I were looking for aesthetically pleasing and queer friendly wedding venues. When we emailed AvantGarden to see if they are comfortable with LGBT weddings, Mariana swiftly replied, “At AvantGarden, love is love.” We went to tour the venue because it was beautiful online and we could not have been more pleasantly surprised by the fact that they do all inclusive weddings! The florals, cake, food, and DJ were all excellent. Pizza, cocktail hour charcuterie and the taco truck were all big hits with our guests. We’re very thankful to Mariana and her team!“

I get that they want us to enjoy the experience but they're was just too much time between the drinks, appetizers, food, desserts etc. The food was amazing, no question, one of the best steaks I've ever had. This place definitely exceeded my expectations. The drinks are perfectly mixed — not too sweet and not too strong — just right. The flavors are super refreshing, and they have a great variety to choose from. The atmosphere is chill, the music’s always good, and it’s a perfect spot to stop by and unwind after a long day.

And I have to mention — the lady who works there is super funny and kind! She really makes the whole experience even better with her great energy and personality.“

“Steak night at Gagootzbar was AMAZING!! I was blown away. The steak was incredible juicy,tender, and perfectly seasoned seared on the outside while moist and pink inside. Accompanying with perfect potatoes wedges and salad. Definitely will be back for more.“

“This whole facility is card only. I happened to be paying with a PayPal card as opposed to a regular bank card and there were issues with the pre-authorization hold when I tried to open a tab.

EVERY staff member I interacted with to resolve the problem was extremely courteous and helpful. Pablo was particularly friendly and understanding. If you're in downtown definitely swing by. Also extremely good happy hour M-F. Don't know where else in downtown that you can get a 3 dollar beer...
