“Loose Cannon is a cozy dive that has a little something for everyone. This is one of those spots where you can walk through the door knowing that whether you're alone or with company you're going to have a nice time.I've been to Loose Cannon with friends and/or family several times. Parking is never an issue with additional spots to the left of the building and each time I go I have the same experience: the bartenders and patrons here are super welcoming and friendly, the atmosphere is extremely cozy, and the drinks are comparatively cheap but delicious. They also host occasional events such as steak and comedy nights that I have yet to try, but my family has told me they enjoy.If you're looking for a no-nonsense come-as-you-are-good time, I couldn't recommend Loose Cannon more.“
“Very very very cute and fun bar. The concept and decor is so cool! i loved it. The drink was delicious and was on the happy hour menu. They had a pool table and a shuffle board table. Very unique and i would definitely come back if i was in the area. Also i really like that you get a ticket to put towards the charity of your choice!“
“A mixed bag for shows.The local shows are often great and well priced. The pegstar shows can get expensive.Drink selection is average, but pricing is amazing. 5$ can get you a shot and a beer.For food you can have chips. Seriously if you need food this aint the place unless a truck happens to be set up.The bartenders are friendly however due to the often live shows and noise you may need to write down your order on a whiteboard.Black Magic Social Club reminds me of the old dives and venues which are mostly gone these days. Cheap, fun and loud.“
“honestly, I have never had the food here, but I hear it’s amazing from nearly everyone. I have only come here one time before, but I enjoyed my time very much. I love the size of the lot and also how it is located outside and I’m pretty sure that this is a bar, but I am not exactly sure on that. this is a lovely little space in Houston. That is also a live music venue so they throw shows from time to time. It is awesome to have a great night out here and spend time with family with their all ages events. as always love from Houston and the universe. As soon as you step in, it feels like you've been transported back in time to the coolest neighborhood bar from your favorite 80s movie. “Cheap drinks and friendly bartenders, what more could you ask for?! Bimboz Saloon was just re-established in 2022 and man, it's cool AF inside. There's not one spot on the wall without decor, and if you want a surprise, check the bathrooms. LOL! They have specials EVERY DAY on their bimbo shots, domestic beer, well and premium liquors. It's not just an inside bar too, they have a whole outdoor area with multiple bar-style games such as human sized beer pong, hooks, trash lid horseshoe, and a huge chair to take cute Yelp photos on. “Boondocks is a shell of what it was.The old crowd pops in, has a pbr, and gets starry-eyed remembering when they were 1$ and the bar smelled like pee.But change comes like war, bringing with it modern advancements to the losers. Montrose lost, and so did boondocks in return.Out of the rubble, we rebuilt with modern nights, raised prices, and a mixed crowd.It's not death, but it's not freedom.It's still better than what happened to catbirds.“
“I'm not a fan of dive bars but this one in my neighborhood is a diamond in the rough. Maybe they can renovate to bring in a crowd but I do like how it's not too busy. It makes getting food and drinks not so stressful. The food is on another level with amazing combinations. All their fries and tots are delicious. Their duck wings are a must have and I enjoyed their shrimp burger. The drinks are tasty too and with enough alcohol to get you tipsy eventually. It's a fun place and glad to have it around.“

“The girls, bartenders were great until I needed my phone charged. The bar needs to have charging ports for customers or charging stations behind the bar. This is a nessessity for your patrons to stay longer and spend more money. What will it cost you. It's minuscule. Get with it Houston.“
“It is a quaint old fashioned place studded with Elvis memorabilia from a different time and there is also a pool table, but it feels more like entering into somebody's living room possibly because the owner is so nice and welcoming.Outside, there is a raised and covered area surrounded by actual rose bushes and they are blooming at this time so we were litterally sitting in a rose garden.The Rose Garden is the place to go if you are tired of trendy noisy bars and you want to try something different.“

“Had 2 bacon cheeseburgers tonight with tots and onion rings. Delicious homestyle burger and the sides were nice and crispy. The service was friendly and prompt. I will say this is a dive bar in the BEST way. Just regulars chillin on a first name basis with the bar tender lol. People spoke to us and were welcoming, which was nice. The place was VERY CLEAN, like literally the bar counter and floors did not have stray piece of trash, nothing was sticky, and the ladies' room was also clean and stocked. They do take credit cards and have pool tables. The only ding I will give is that they only serve beer, no liquor or wine when I was there. This is only an issue for me because I can't really drink liquor. But if you're a regular beer person, or you want a good burger, definitely give them a visit. We will be back.“
“Pete Gordon is the Champagne of Men. The Continental Club is the last bastion of culture in a void of myspace bands and overly well lit bacon bourbon fusion bars. The only thing I miss is those delightful old folks that sold BBQ at Mojo shows back in the day.“

“Came here for a friend’s birthday and it’s an older generation atmosphere (like mid 40’ to mid 50’s type). The music was absolutely fun, the DJ plays music and displays the video of that song on a big projection screen as well. There’s pool tables next to other tables where people are standing and sitting so them playing can be in the way of those standing trying to enjoy their time can be irritating but other than that if you like pool, then they have that. They also have some slot machines and darts too. Did not try the food, if they have that.“
“I'm a sucker for a good neighborhood bar. Smoke-scented walls... dim, seedy lighting... bartenders that know your order just by looking at you. Sassafras is all that, plus some Hasselhoff razzle-dazzle. I usually only get a few hours out every other week, so I am that annoying customer who asks for creative shots to speed up the drunk process. The bartenders at Sassafras never miss a beat. They've whipped up some concoctions that would make even Baywatch-era David Hasselhoff blush (in a good way, of course). They're patient with my indecisiveness and always manage to send me on my way with a drink that's both potent and delicious. Two thumbs up for strong cocktails, chill vibes, and a staff that knows how to have fun.“
