“I was just down the street doing laundry and I had about an hour to wait, so i started walking down the street and came upon WAlabama Ice house, they where playing slow soft music. So I went in and ordered a beer, the bar tender was very polite and the people around me were super friendly, I almost wished I could stay longer, I even meet a very sweet women there. “Super inclusive dive bar where you feel included. The drinks are affordable and strong. It's not fancy nor is it trying to be. It's dog friendly and the AC blows COLD. This place is a rare gem, especially for the price. Parking can be tricky but there's ample parking in the back. There's an amazing food truck across the street.“

Update 2025: Prices have gone up... now it's $3.75 for a domestic long neck, but accounting for inflation, that's a damn good price. Nomad Tavern, for example, wants 4 of my hard-earned dollars for a Lone Star tallboy.
Not to mention the lovely, polite, professional Heather (she's married, everybody) tending bar. This is her second day. I joked that to her, I'm a regular. I'll have to come into this place more to maintain my 'regular' status!
Clean restroom! I noticed the detailed instructions posted on the wall... great idea.
I'll be back to check on the on-demand karaoke!

“This place is one of my favorite taverns in Houston! The bar tender is always attentive and super friendly. The space is very comfortable and has lots of cozy nooks to chill out in. Great events and twice a week they host drop in games of Dungeons and Dragons, just show up and play! Professional DMs run the games and a seat at a game costs only about 10 or 15 bucks for a 3 to 4 hour one shot session. Oh! And monday steak night!!! It's actually really good steak.“
