Food, vibes and staff are all magical. There is nowhere else in Houston that is as nice to hang out. It's been awesome to see the many updates and changes they have had over the years.

My only complaint is that seating isn't always comfortable. Probably strategic so people don't camp out all day, but I'm short so my legs fall asleep sometimes.

Despite that I will keep going back. This place feels like home.“

Good vibes on quiet days; Fern, Sarah, Jenny, Ben, and the rest of the crew are so cool. Bumping right on the weekends. Fun lights everywhere, Dollar pool, darts available, and two patios. Can't ask for more. Drinks are good and all lq & beer at a fair price, esp for the area - can get a few rounds for under $30, and they have good boilermaker deals. This bar was originally a tailor shop with bar added later and both have collectively been in operation for 88 YEARS!It is a very eclectic place with old style bar feel. Update 2025: Prices have gone up... now it's $3.75 for a domestic long neck, but accounting for inflation, that's a damn good price. Nomad Tavern, for example, wants 4 of my hard-earned dollars for a Lone Star tallboy.
Not to mention the lovely, polite, professional Heather (she's married, everybody) tending bar. This is her second day. I joked that to her, I'm a regular. I'll have to come into this place more to maintain my 'regular' status!
Clean restroom! I noticed the detailed instructions posted on the wall... great idea.
I'll be back to check on the on-demand karaoke!

“This place is one of my favorite taverns in Houston! The bar tender is always attentive and super friendly. The space is very comfortable and has lots of cozy nooks to chill out in. Great events and twice a week they host drop in games of Dungeons and Dragons, just show up and play! Professional DMs run the games and a seat at a game costs only about 10 or 15 bucks for a 3 to 4 hour one shot session. Oh! And monday steak night!!! It's actually really good steak.“

“I went to Continental Club for a concert and had a really good experience! The event was well organized, and they had high-rise stools set up for the audience, which was a nice touch. The service was great, and they also have a few arcade games to enjoy.
