Never had the food. On a quiet day the vibe is chill. On a day where they got a DJ it's hyped and can be crowded upstairs mostly. The service and people who work there the times I visited from the bartenders to the door guy were
I didn't go TN, but I have many times w/many more to come. Emo night the second Tuesday of EVERY month you MUST go if you enjoy the alternative scene. They unfortunately don't play Korn, Sepultura, black Sabbath, etc. But more of a 2000s emo vibe like..bmth, Paramore, and song requests, but you have to be sure the dj has your request! Still a GREAT time with or without fellow humans :)

Boondocks is a shell of what it was.The old crowd pops in, has a pbr, and gets starry-eyed remembering when they were 1$ and the bar smelled like pee.But change comes like war, bringing with it modern advancements to the losers. Montrose lost, and so did boondocks in return.Out of the rubble, we rebuilt with modern nights, raised prices, and a mixed crowd.It's not death, but it's not freedom.It's still better than what happened to catbirds.
