“This is a fantastic spot for tacos in Downtown Houston. The al pastor and chicken tacos were so good that I returned a second time to get tacos to take home with me to Maryland. As a California native, I’m quite particular about Mexican food - tacos specifically - and these are incredibly legit. Not pictured are the charro beans which were absolutely incredible. I’m in Houston multiple times per year due to family, and look forward to visiting this place again and again.“
“*Food was good*. Female cashier was terrible. Had an attitude when asked about the menu items; even though my party explained that we had never been there before and no-one was in line behind us. I had to get upset for her to take a step back and reevaluate her tone/behavior. Male cashier beside her had to step in to say he was here to help and then had to come over after we finished cashing to make sure that we had our receipt and were good.“

“I had stopped going to Lazy Dog because of an experience I had in the DFW area but it was the easiest choice while traveling in Houston since I didn't have a rental. I'm so happy I stopped in. It was late so I didn't want to have dinner but ordered appetizers and some beers. The patio was awesome, with a fire and large seating area. Inside was clean with nice decor. Service was great. I had edamame, that was seasoned with teriyaki sauce and spices and it was probably some of the best flavored edamame that I've tried. I also had their goat cheese with jalapeno jelly and baked chips and I loved it as well. It really hit the spot! I'm glad I had to walk back to the hotel because I almost polished it off. It had a very nice beer selection so I was able to try beers that I've never tried before. I may give the local Lazy Dogs another chance because of this location.“

“I've never eaten here but decided to try the food after a day out on the scooter. I'm glad I did! Oscar hipped me to the happy hour (M-F 5-close) and I was sold. I liked that Shiner is considered "Domestic " here. The chicken tenders were moist and not overly crunchy and the honey mustard sauce was dreamy. Highly recommend this place when you're out and about or those nights when you don't feel like cooking. Will definitely be back!“
“Loved this place. Stopped late night because I was craving a burger, however I am vegan. My host, Alexis, was very helpful in helping me select a suitable dish. Alexis's smile also brightened my night, I was having a rough day and he also provided a listening ear for me to do a bit of venting. The environment was laid back but kinda "sporty". There was an NBA basketball game on when I attended the restaurant, so it was interesting to see people gather to watch the game. “The theme goes so well with the food and atmosphere. It has the appearance of one of those neon light car diners with a clean minimalist feel.I ordered the patty melt with everything. From the perfectly toasted buttery bread , the smash burger style patties , and the special Smack sauced blendig with the melted cheese..... ?. It was quite delicious, definitely going back for more. The parmesan fries were good too with their ranch sauce. Nice and crispy.The last thing is the lady working there named Miriam( The sista behind the counter with the blue glasses). She gave over the top customer service. She took the oder and went to the back to prep, then served it. She also made sure we were comfortable and even asked if everything was to my parties liking. “First time customer. Food is delicious! I ordered the Triple J Special (Brisket, Ribs, Sausage) w/ potato salad and green beans. I enjoyed every bite. The homemade koolaids are good as well but extremely sweet. One koolaid can be diluted w/ water and made into two. Now here’s why I didn’t give 5 stars across the board; the cashier set up. While there was a line, it’s expected as it was a Saturday. We waited about 1.5 hours. The inside of the building, where the line is formed is very narrow, “sharp shooter” style. The cooks/line staff are making the plates in a timely fashion, it’s the cashier or check out process that slows things down. There’s a MAJOR need for another check out system. Maybe a portable square terminal or some other portable card reader. I attached a picture for reference. This would help A LOT! especially since most customers are using cards, tap pay, etc. However this is just my opinion. I’m not promoting square pay nor am I affiliated with them in any kind of way. Will I come back? Yes. On a Saturday? No! It will have to be one day during the week where I can maximize my time and fully enjoy the experience.“

The crust on these pizzas was Amazing due to the crispness of the crust. The lack of a finale with a stoke of butter, a hit of EVOO, and Fresh garlic was disappointing and barely there sauce with lack of proportional pepperoni piecs per slice...come on. In other words, the crust needed flavor, too, especially because your crust is a genuine brick oven-slayed pizza crust, so don't go Domino's on us. Season that thing! I need you all to stick to the description of your pizza on the menu and don't be stingy. I had to ask the lady to get the kitchen to add more arugula. She brought my pizza back to me, looking the same way; it barely had arugula and dressing. I don't want to pay $15 for a good specialty pizza and then have to go home and Doctor it up to make it a great pizza in line with your description of what I was buying on Your menu. Lastly, the side of pizza sauce tasted like Bertolli Vodka Pasta Sauce but I'm not mad because I like Bertolli Vodka Pasta Sauce but it's not a side of pizza marinara. Other than that, I still recommend Brix to loosen you and your party up with wine, spirits, bites and a pretentious atmosphere with a really down to earth staff with reasonable prices.“

The kids burgers are plenty big.The last visit we went there were a couple of hiccups. I had ordered curly fries and got regular fries, but they quickly fixed that. I had ordered bacon but after a few bites I noticed there was no bacon. I heard another customer mention they did not get the avocado they ordered. They spoke very highly of Mario's and said food was great and prices reasonable. My husband and I went there Saturday and found they were right on both scores. Staff were friendly too. Wasn't the biggest fan of the sauce but definitely added flavor Chicken especial: the grilled chicken was surprisingly packed with flavor and was super juicy! The bacon and jalapeños were great additions to the already tasty sandwich. Although I was initially skeptical of the grilled part, I would highly recommend trying it! “Burger Chan was 5 stars all the way. I saw they did a Vietnamese coffee milkshake....yes please! Had them bring it out with my meal, very very good. My burger consisted of 3 two ounce patties with pepperjack cheese, a fried egg and charred jalapenos. This burger was tasty and juicy, had a hint of char on the edges...yum. As usual we sampled each others food. My wife got a five ounce burger patty with no bun with cheddar cheese, seared spam, sauteed onions and sliced avocado, very tasty. She added some fried cheese curds, they hit the ever widening spot, some of the best i've ever had. We will be back for more goodies.“
