“I was told this is a Houston staple and no lies were told! I’m an old soul and this is a community joint! First, the oldies playing smoothly in the background just put me right at ease. Who don’t love Motown? The older gentleman who took my order was sweet as pie, and told me to come back 😂 (got a side eye from the man). But the burger. They don’t make them like this anymore! Patty amazingly, cheese gooey, crisp lettuce, mayo hit. Best part was all the folks coming and going. Testament to this place! Cheers to another 60 years! #HEH“

But I love Stanton‘s the Fong family has done so much for the neighborhood. I’m grateful that they’re there. Really juicy flavorful burgers. One of the good places to eat in First Ward.“
